What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Ability to share large files with clients, etc. via download link. Ability to quickly access files anywhere anytime if needed. Quick upload of multiple files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to view multiple PDF files at one time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to store files in organized manner and access anywhere by multiple users. Easily share files with clients or media partners.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very easy to set up and store files. Great for sharing large files with clients, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Super simple for data management, drag and drop upload and simplicity for sharing files securely.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't dug into this too much, but from what I have seen, the collaboration integration (excel, word, etc) is a bit clunky. This isn't our primary use case however, so no big deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We implemented Egnyte so we could have a centralized, secure repository for assets. All of our legacy materials are now stored here and the organization by folders has helped so we can quickly find anything needed without much hassle. This tool also complies with our security standards which is a good thing.

What do you like best about the product?
I really love how you can take a video of the project and later share a link for others to view the video
What do you dislike about the product?
The saving of the video files is a bit clunky and could be easier to change the name of the file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This allows you to speak details while taking the video to point out critical areas, sequence the order of operations and capture small details or nuances about the project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Google drive works great without the expense

Definitely Not Best of Breed -- Not the Worst

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte has similar functionality and is capable of doing most of the things of it's main competitors. Has less sync problems than Microsoft OneDrive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up access permissions and restrictions to certain files was less intuitive than other options like Box and DropBox. Ran into regular sync errors and difficulty when interfacing directly with Windows Explorer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online file storage for a large number of files, particularly large file sized Microsoft Excel workbooks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure the cost benefit is there when considering going with Egnyte instead of a Box or DropBox solution.

Scalable for the global enterprise

What do you like best about the product?
There are two ways to interact with Egnyte - with an offline sync and with a mounted drive. The combination allows to distribute important data throughout the salesforce automatically.

The bulk upload from a notebook is awesome since you have an exact count in the plugin. So the product gives feedback which makes it secure (and also makes the user very happy).
What do you dislike about the product?
there are some things which could be improved in the user experience. But all in all the software works like expected.

The most annoying thing is that when sharing internally I would prefer to share a filepath from the context menu. It creates an obfuscates path which sometimes does not help because you want people also to know that the file is in that or this directory.

The integration with Office 365 could be better. To work together on documents we need to use the Office in the cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I co-administrate a sales tool folder with daily to weekly updates (so sales always have the important data and factsheets offline on their machine)
I also co-adminstrate a fileshare for our partners.

The roles and the integration with our network really helped in the acceptance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It might be strange in the beginning because the interface of box or dropbox look simpler. It integrates very good in the finder on MacOs and Explorer on Windows.

Egnyte - A Contractor's Perscpective

What do you like best about the product?
We currently use Egnyte company wide (500+ employees). Excellent way to share documents via a server. Recent updates have made Egnyte much faster with little to no lag time when operating in a good wifi network.
What do you dislike about the product?
The innability to give my subcontractors / architects / owners "power user" abilities wihtout paying a monthly fee. I know that we can create additional power users to add to our overall pool of users but for the group I listed above the only feature we need to share is the desktop sync syncing feature. We are trying to utilize Egynte & BlueBeam to crate a document sharing network that provides the contractor's team / subcontractors / architects / owners real time information. Right now we are limited to sending a link to a particular folder and forcing a non-power user to download the entire thing over and over and over again every time we make updates. Currently we are looking into 3rd party options to get around this snag that Egnyte has created. If this feature could be added it would seriously make Egnyte perfect (from a contractor's perspective).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing information between employees and offices almost immediately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compare features to others similar to Egnyte. Many companies offer the same features but with slight differences. Nothing for or against Egnyte but that would be my advice when suggesting to others.

What do you like best about the product?
Works great through Building Connected. Easy to upload and reliable downloads. Organization of files is a huge plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some limitations on size, and speed of upload. That may be on our end though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing of files with subcontractors has never been easier.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can mount the Egnyte drive as a local volume, and the web interface is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the Egnyte Drive and Egnyte Desktop Sync and Egnyte Web Edit are all separate, individual apps, on top of the mobile apps. It would be nice if I could use all the features of Egnyte without having to download, install, or add on so many apps and extensions. It makes for a very fragmented experience.

Searching is slow and clunky and I do not believe to be accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte is our central storage for a team of about 15 people in a company of 100+
