HubSpot is an Invaluable Tool for Marketing

What do you like best about the product?
We love the easy to read reports, the large amounts of pertinent data, and the simple and effective interface. Tracking email, blog, and landing page effectiveness is easy for us using HubSpot's dashboard. The same case can be made for website and sale tracking.

We have a better handle on what content works and who is engaging with the content This drives what decisions we make with planning or marketing, and how to better engage our potential customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few ways HubSpot could be improved. Finding certain data points isn't as easy as it should be. Some graphs and reports that should be clickable are not. Also, some important data is buried in the UI and take digging to find. Some specific details, like total contacts, are not available. Finally, UI issues add minor frustrations in day-to-day use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previous to using HubSpot, we used a cobbled together system that was inaccurate at best, but offered no insight in to the prospect's engagement. All our contacts and prospects are now in one ease-to-navigate place. We can see the complete lifecycle of a contact, engagement with our content and emails, and easily reengage them with future campaigns. Email campaigns are simple and the reporting is excellent. We are continually finding ways to use HubSpot and implement features we've never used before.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is well worth the money! I recommend finding a good partner to help implement HubSpot Marketing Hub and make the transition especially if you have a large library of content and blogs already built.

Simple/Powerful Automation

What do you like best about the product?
The email and workflow tools are very easy to use and you can accomplish pretty much everything you need from a marketing standpoint with them.

The combination of smart content within emails combined with the powerful workflow tool allows you to deliver custom emails fairly easily based on various actions leads perform.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the email builder, it would be nice to be able to wrap text around an image rather than just being limited to having modules.

There is a bit of a learning curve with how all of the tools play together.

The lead scoring could be much better. There's not really an easy way to put time-based scores on them, and then you are limited to only having 100 positive criteria for one lead score property. This can get very tricky if you're running an email campaign that you want to score specifically based on actions from certain emails in the flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing automation - trigger emails based on actions by leads. Also, take some manual tasks away from reps (i.e. sending a booking email automatically with the assigned rep's calendar).

I've been able to create pretty detailed workflows that nurture our leads down the funnel.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
From the beginning, be very deliberate in the naming structure of your workflows, along with using folders. It's really important to stay organized because it can get out of hand quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Workflows make it so easy to route leads to specific teams! It helps with lead scoring by holding back leads that are not fully qualified yet. It's also useful for our nurture program, which we launched earlier this year. In comparison to other marketing automation tools, Hubspot is efficient and easy to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limitations with Hubspot. Pretty often, I find the Helpdesk redirecting me to the community board to post what I'm looking for (in hopes of getting it included in a future product roadmap).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lead scoring, lead routing, sending emails on behalf of our reps, nurturing, and overall enhancement of how we communicate with our prospects and customers.

What do you like best about the product?
Most importantly, the people. My account managers have always been knowledgeable, patient, and thorough, not only answering my questions, but guiding me to success with recommendations and insights I didn't know I needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing pops out as an immediate red flag -- I wish the podcast was updated more regularly!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love being able to house so many marketing needs under one roof. From website analytics to social media posting/management, to blog reports and landing page creation, it's a huge help to manage almost all of my digital marketing needs in one system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The setup is worth the long term reward!

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the filters, they allow me to segment my DB in a very specific way as the system collects a lot of information from the contacts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workflows and the scoring system have some limitations, but overall there's always a workaround you can use instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Attribution is one area that has been improved greatly since we started using Hubspot. Now we can identify a lot better what are the channels/sources that bring us more contacts or help us better activate our existing DB.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool's UX - Very well thought. You can figure out things on the go!
What do you dislike about the product?
HubSpot is a bit limited if you have multiple pipelines (Business Units) - Some settings are "global" meaning if you define one setting for a pipeline, all the others will be applied the same rule.

For example:When setting the default amount Deals, we cannot set individually for each pipeline, but for our whole Hubspot account - This makes things more complex if you have pipelines with a different logic of revenues (monthly vs Total Contract Value (TCV))
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am setting automations to make the life of our deal owners easier. Worrying less on repetitive tasks and focusing more on the Higher value tasks (like the human interaction)

* We are setting workflows that checks if the information is correct and if it's not, it adds a "secure-standard value" and sends a reminder to the deal owner that a property was updated
* We are also setting workflows that engages the deal into different flows based on his/her score - and only for the higher scored ones, we involve a human to invest time into a personalised interaction with the open deal.
* Deal score is also helping us on understanding "how hot" the deal is and if we have a low score, the deal is closed so we stop the communication with the person (so we don't bother her anymore) and we also save time/effort by not interacting with someone who's not interested.

HubSpot is great to use for Marketing, especially in combination with Sales

What do you like best about the product?
I love the integrations between Sales activity and Marketing. We upload all of our Sales enablement collateral in HubSpot and link to it in our Marketing emails so we can see what has been viewed. Super easy software to learn and use. We used to create lading pages in WordPress, but now find the HubSpot ones are much easier to create and provide just as much data analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to edit the email types once you create them. But we clone them and power on. On the social media side, we can't post GIFs through HubSpot on Facebook, so we're creating more videos. However, it would be nice to have that as an option. Also, the integration with LinkedIn on social has somehow disappeared.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving the issue of Sales using their own language and collateral when prospecting. Now, we upload all sorts of Marketing collateral for them to use, create email sequences for them, etc. so our brand is consistent in all communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you ask questions to ensure you're getting the full use of the software.

Long Time User

What do you like best about the product?
I've been a HubSpot user since nearly the beginning of the platform in 2010. What I like best is that HubSpot has excellent customer service and they're are continually innovating. The platform has evolved so much from the early days to make my job of reaching our business partners even easier. I also appreciate the educational opportunities HubSpot provides.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really think of any downsides to the platform itself. It's just that I do not have time to learn all the things it will do for me and my business. I feel like we don't use HubSpot to it's fullest, sometimes—but that's our fault.

The only negative I can think of is when an update is made, oftentimes it's hard to find familiar items if they have moved to different menus. But, after a while you get used to where things are located.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are reaching our business partners on a regular basis to keep them involved and our business top-of-mind. We are also using the program to communicate various new programs with our consumer base as well.

We have had good experiences with Transactional Email, lately.

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly, constantly updated, community chat is great and the blogs are helpful. I also really like the response time when submitting tickets to Hubspot. Everytime I reach out to Hubspot support they are very knowledgeable and help me at a timely manner. A lot of the times it can be a simple fix and I have even had a Hubspot support person call me on Zoom so that I could share my screen and show exactly what was happening. Our customer success manager, Tony, is also great and is always willing to answer any questions I have or direct me to the right person for my questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are not available with campaigns and I am currently having issues with setting up our sales hub workflows with deals and making sure that the personalization tokens are showing up for the emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize email marketing, and have drastically improved our automation globally through the workflows feature. We have set up a lead qualification process that is connecting to our CRM as well as effectively managing our contacts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to look at the community and ask your questions because more than likely someone else is wondering the same thing you are. Hubspot also has a lot of blogs describing how to do different things in the system which is very useful.

Marketing Hub increased our lead production significantly

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, with a great interface. I also like the ability to be able to manage all of our landing pages with ease, as well as forms. I am able to create and clone forms and pages as needed. Overall, this makes my job easier. I also like the ability to automate. Automation within hubspot marketing hub makes it easy to send out emails based on certain triggers - like when new members join for example. If we set up an automation trigger these emails go out on a certain timetable that we are able to set. This helps increase communication effortlessly with only the work of setting it up in the first place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Attribution reporting can be tough to set up. I also wish the dashboards were more visual. I'd like to present to executives various dashboards of emails being sent for the month or week for example. I also wish there were more landing page templates to choose from. The list isn't that much and we would have to build out landing pages via a designer. A lot of times I would like to just do that myself but it requires understanding coding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are emailing more and gaining more leads. We also are able to target effectively and efficiently. I've also realized we can track all of our form submissions through Hubspot. We are using this for internal purposes as well now - such as internal forms. We also love the A/B testing feature within both landing pages and email marketing. This helps us optimize our marketing so that we can send out the best and most relevant content possible.
