What do you like best about the product?

What I like most is the combination of a clear, user-friendly platform and the expert guidance from our consultant Ashna. The software makes the ISO 27001 process much easier to understand and manage. It gives us a clear overview of what needs to be done, helps us track progress, and reduces the complexity of managing compliance requirements manually. Ashna provides practical advice, quick responses, and reassurance throughout the journey. Her guidance made a real difference during specific ISO 27001 steps. That saved us time, reduced uncertainty, and helped us keep momentum toward certification. The initial setup was structured and clear for our team. Since this was our first ISO 27001 certification process, having a guided setup helped us understand where to start and what needed to be done. It also helps centralize the ISO 27001 compliance process while working with the internal tools and documentation workflows.

What do you dislike about the product?

One area for improvement is that some of the steps and requirements in the platform could be even more intuitive for first-time users. At times, we still needed guidance to understand exactly what was expected or how to best complete certain items. One example is the evidence collection step. For first-time users, it was not always immediately clear what level of detail was expected.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Scytale makes our ISO 27001 process more structured and manageable. It gives us a clear overview of what needs to be done, helps us track progress, and reduces the complexity of managing compliance manually. With Ashna's guidance, we saved time, reduced uncertainty, and kept momentum toward certification.

What do you like best about the product?

We started working with Scytale this year. With the automatic evidince collection from certain applications out-of-the-box and the posibillity to create your own integrations and the help of Liya, our GRC Consultant, it did really made our recertification a lot more easier than before.

What do you dislike about the product?

One of the downsides for me, a bit outside of the work of scytale, would be the cycle with the auditor that it sometimes can take a little bit of time before we get feedback or that it's being revaluated.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Getting a better overview between the many documents, policies, controls, etc. Gathering evidence quickly and being able to track the status.

What do you like best about the product?

We are currently working with Scytale been assisting our organization with our SOC2 and HIPAA. The platform and our consultant have greatly streamlined and simplified the process for our organization. Our consultant Caitlin Brown has helped us navigate the process and tailor the standards to our operations.

The platform was well designed and is very intuitive for use.

The support team has been extremely responsive and the integrations have been extremely helpful.

Our organization has been extremely pleased with our experience to date!

What do you like best about the product?

I love having a single source of truth, one place that brings all the policies and integrations together. On top of that, the automation helps me understand what I should tackle first. The consultant Daniella was truly helpful and kind!

What do you dislike about the product?

I ran into a few bugs on the platform, and it also lacks integrations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It’s helping me achieve SOC 2 compliance, which is critical for us to move forward with our customers’ process.

What do you like best about the product?

I find Scytale easy to use, with a great library of available templates that cover all the operations processes I need. The platform itself simplifies the process of SOC2 preparation a lot, and it contains lots of example templates I can use as a base. Also, the support from Scytale does great work in helping with those templates adjustments for our needs. There were no issues with the setup, as there was no need to deploy anything on our side; we just got access to the cloud platform. The platform's support and ease of access really enhance its usability.

What do you dislike about the product?

Due to the specifics of our products, we had to spend more time on initial discoveries to better understand how to approach SOC2 preparations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Scytale simplifies SOC2 preparation with example templates and excellent support, helping us maintain internal processes and achieve continuous improvements.

What do you like best about the product?

If you have AWS than it would be more powerful, I guess, but we have all done by ourselves and host it on a local hoster. This requires a lot of changes in the collection of evidence and completion of controls. Dian Strydom is most helpful with all the steps to be taken. He guides me through everything and helps me out with templates to complete the controls.

The GUI is easy to understand and helps a lot in having an oversight what to do and where I am.

What do you dislike about the product?

Nothing, it is very helpful for me, it even suggests what can be certified with all the answers from my current certification, which is very good. It helps me telling my board of directors, what to aim next.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Getting ready for ISO27001 and SOC2 is a marathon, and for a small company as ours, it would be impossible without scytale.

What do you like best about the product?

Scytale was the only provider with a native integration to Hetzner, which made collecting evidence from our primary cloud provider much less onerous than a manual process. They were very attentive during onboarding and provided recommendations to 3rd party services that would be essential to a successful SOC2 audit pass.

What do you dislike about the product?

This review is written during the engagement, so the only issue I have run into at this stage is about setting up the Github integration, which has a pending support ticket to rectify.

Scytale is helping Insygna become SOC2 certified which is essential to our success in the market.

I like that Scytale provides structure and support to set up and get ready for the Auditors during the ISO 27001 certification process. It's a structured tool with templates for getting started, and I appreciate the help and support for solving issues as we encounter them. The initial setup of Scytale was relatively easy, which made things smoother.

What do you dislike about the product?

Integrations, missing some tools/services. Link between the integrations in such a way that one do not need to rely on Spreadsheets for collecting data.

Scytale provides a structured tool and templates for setting up ISO 27001 certification. It supports and prepares us for auditors while offering help and solving issues as they arise.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate Scytale's easy-to-use platform, which comes with access to policy templates that have been super helpful. The consultants provided for our frameworks, Dian for ISO 27001 and Rachel for POPIA, have been super helpful in streamlining our compliance journey. I also like that the people at Scytale are very responsive and eager to assist. The platform itself is visually appealing and easy to grasp.

What do you dislike about the product?

Perhaps some sort of document history when it comes to policies. Once a change is made, although it shows version control with the number at the top, there does not seem to be a way to actually rollback to a previous version.
