What do you like best about the product?

What I like best about DataDome is its ability to accurately detect and mitigate sophisticated automated threats without creating friction for legitimate users. We evaluated it against a wide range of bot activity, including advanced AI-driven bots, credential stuffing attacks, account takeover attempts, scraping, and other evasive automation techniques, and the detection quality has been consistently impressive.

The AI and threat intelligence capabilities stand out. DataDome continuously adapts to evolving bot behavior, which is critical because attackers constantly change their techniques. Rather than relying solely on static signatures, the platform analyzes behavioral signals and risk indicators in real time, allowing it to identify threats that traditional bot defenses often miss.

From a UI/UX perspective, the dashboard provides clear visibility into bot traffic, attack trends, mitigation actions, and threat classifications. Security, operations, and engineering teams can quickly understand what is happening without spending hours digging through logs. The reporting and analytics have significantly reduced investigation time during bot-related incidents.

What do you dislike about the product?

There is very little to dislike about DataDome based on our UI experience. If I had to identify an area for improvement, I would like to see more AI-powered self-service capabilities within the dashboard. For example, having an intelligent assistant and AI chatbot that can automatically answer questions and generate dashboard, charts, trends etc.,


That said, these are relatively minor suggestions rather than significant shortcomings. The core value proposition—accurate bot detection, protection against sophisticated automated attacks, credential stuffing prevention, and low-friction mitigation for legitimate users—is exceptionally strong. The platform delivers on its primary mission extremely well, which is why these improvement requests are more about enhancing an already mature product than addressing major gaps.

Before implementing DataDome, malicious bots could consume infrastructure resources, skew analytics, scrape proprietary content and pricing data, perform credential stuffing attacks, attempt account takeovers, and negatively impact both security and customer experience.

The intuitive dashboard provides clear visibility into traffic and threats, making monitoring and reporting straightforward.

We highly appreciate the attentive and knowledgeable Datadome team. From setup to ongoing questions, their responsiveness and support have been top-tier.

What do you dislike about the product?

If we had to mention one downside, it would be that the initial setup and fine-tuning can take a bit of effort, especially for more complex environments. However, once everything is properly configured, the platform runs smoothly and requires minimal ongoing maintenance.

Protects from malicious automated traffic and unauthorized scraping, which has been greatly reduced after implementing Datadome solutions.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that DataDome does a good job preventing DDOS and scraping attacks on our website, and I was impressed with how well their models detect malicious traffic. I appreciate the three bot prevention mechanisms, which are less to more invasive depending on the threat levels, and the really nice bot protection experiences like interstitial, slide captchas, and hard blocks. The onboarding process was very nice, and our customer support rep is diligent in getting things up and running. Tuning alerts is something they've been very helpful with. The initial setup was very straightforward, and they came up with a custom solution to transfer from one vendor to another without dropping bot protection.

What do you dislike about the product?

We tried their other products, such as Login Protect, and found it did not do a great job with our company's use case. For Bot Protect, while they do a good job with general traffic, there was at least a month or two where we had to comb our own traffic and find spikes, and inform them about it. Ultimately, they don't really understand your traffic, or how people use your website and need a lot of guidance and personal investment to make sure it's working well, but it's generally worth the effort.

I find DataDome effectively prevents DDOS and scraping attacks on our website. Their models detect malicious traffic well, providing user-friendly bot protection like interstitials and captchas. Tuning alerts has been straightforward with their diligent support.

You need to learn a lot in first time using it, not easy to onboard

One downside of DataDome is that its strict bot detection can occasionally impact legitimate users, leading to false positives and added friction if not carefully tuned.

DataDome is solving the problem of malicious bot traffic—such as scraping, credential stuffing, and automated attacks—that can impact site performance, security, and customer experience. By filtering out this traffic in real time, it protects our platforms from abuse, reduces the risk of account takeovers, and helps maintain fast, reliable service for genuine users.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that DataDome has a dashboard that's really straightforward to use, especially when comparing it to some of the competitors. I also appreciate the security capabilities of their product for bot protection, which are pretty competent with competitive pricing. Additionally, the initial setup was fairly straightforward, and they offer modules to integrate with most major languages and frameworks, making it pretty easy.

What do you dislike about the product?

I guess the primary problems with DataDome are that they seem not responsive enough to changes. We have multiple situations where we were waiting for certain improvements and those improvements took a really long time to be implemented.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

DataDome helps us keep bots from registering on our platform. It's more accurate in identifying bot registrations compared to our previous solution.

What do you like best about the product?

The are quick to respond whenever called up on.

What do you dislike about the product?

I feel like they are too reactive about bot blocking, and not proactive enough

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I work in travel which has endless amount of scraping travel prices. Datadome helps to block that traffic.

What do you like best about the product?

High technical efficiency, very low false-positive rate, high availability, high technical skills from the TAM and support teams.

What do you dislike about the product?

None.... ah of course the solution comes with a price but that's a common issue on SaaS platform ;)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

DataDome is used to block non legitimate traffic coming from bot scrapping and automatedvulnerability scanners

What do you like best about the product?

It is a tool that does not require constant interaction, easy to implement and even easier to maintain. There are no performance issues and it has a user-friendly interface. Support is quick when needed.

What do you dislike about the product?

We couldn't implement an integration with Splunk and the price could be better, given our context.

Datadome allows mitigating attempts of access by non-human users, also known as robots, on our web pages.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate that DataDome's challenges are accessible, allowing users with visual impairments to prove they are human. I like that no good user is excluded from successfully proving that they are a human, while bots are kept prevented from accessing our platform.

What do you dislike about the product?

It could expose more utils to allow modifying the design of the challenges more freely ourselves. Right now design modification is possible but DataDome team has to be involved and put effort too, while it would be quicker and easier if we wouldn't have to ask them.

DataDome catches bots that cause harm and ensures accessibility of challenges for users with visual impairments, allowing genuine users to prove they are human while keeping bots out.
