Merge is a lifesaver
What do you like best about the product?
Having run a company in the past that required us to seek out integrations every time we onboarded a client, we know first-hand how time-consuming and frustrating this can be. Merge has been a lifesaver for us and has saved us (& our customers!) significant amounts of time during onboarding. The team is communicative, friendly, and supportive of our business goals. Highly recommend Merge!
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to see them integrate with more benefits providers but hopefully that's in the works!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HRIS integrations are a core piece of our product and in the past, this has been a time-suck for both our team and our customers. Their speedy API makes it easier for us to onboard clients, and saves time all around.
Merge saved us one and half years of dev time
What do you like best about the product?
Merge saved (and continues to save) our dev team an enormous amount of time. We originally looked at the scope of work to integrate with multiple HR platforms and it would have taken 1 and a half years to support all of our customers. Merge brought that time down to 1 month.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on your viewpoint, this could be a benefit. When a customer integrates their HR product with ours, technically those credentials are stored in Merge's database. While I believe they're very competent, sometimes it takes a bit of explaining to the customer on how their compliance standards are even higher than ours. Technically, this is very similar to what credit card processors do as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge takes a bunch of functionaly similar APIs and rolls them into only one that you actually have to integrate with. This makes your code base infinitely less complex and easier to maintain. For the work of integrating with one API you get hundreds.
Multiplatform plug&play integration with great and super responsive support team
What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to integrate new platforms
- Top-notch customer support`
- Top-notch customer support`
What do you dislike about the product?
- Merge can't provide access to sandboxes for all different third parties so some integrations are built with less trust since they cannot be fully tested
- There's not much information on logs regarding existing integrations
- There's not much information on logs regarding existing integrations

Quick integration to multiple platforms
Merge has replaced our Integrations Engineering team
What do you like best about the product?
Merge is amazing. Incredibly intuitive and easy-to-use platform. We had a small full-stack engineering team that had never built an integrations strategy before, and they were able implement Merge in days.
While originally we were planning to hire a team of integrations engineers to build and maintain all of our integrations, we've completely eliminated that from our headcount plans. This has increased focus and productivity on engineering, and freed us up to recruit for other skillsets on our engineering team, which has enhanced our product's overall differentiation and competitiveness on the market.
With Merge, we're able to easily support dozens of integrations which has driven tons of sales -- we haven't lost a deal due to lack of integrations since implementing Merge. This has been great for us, since our product requires that we integrate with several product categories where there are many solutions in the market -- HRIS, ATS, Ticketing, Accounting, and CRM. Every time Merge has added a new product category (e.g. Ticketing), the solution has been really robust and high quality. I don't know how they do it but I'm really grateful!

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, Merge is awesome and has been a force multiplier for both sales and our engineering productivity. Their support and product teams are a delight to interact with, and are both consultative and hyper-responsive. I wish every vendor was like this!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrations for HRIS, ATS, Ticketing, CRM, and Accounting. They run our entire integrations strategy.
Continuously Delightful
What do you like best about the product?
Merge's breadth of coverage and pass-through capabilities drastically simplifies our integration process. Their execution speed is inspiring, most Series A plus companies' product improvement noticeably slows down, but Merge seems to only be getting better. If you want an integration vendor that gives **** regardless of deal size and solves problems, you can't go wrong with them (edited)
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, but slightly worried there going monopolize the engineers willing to respond to questions at 10 pm

Integrations across multiple product categories
Exceptionally Useful and Great Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
Merge takes the headaches and complications out of using many many API's. You have all the benefits of integrating data from various platforms. But without and of the headaches of dealing with different data shapes. You never have to ask yourself what shape the data will be in. And you don't have to learn each individual platform to integrate. Huge time savings! Plus, their customer support is exceptionally competent. If you have a question or need help they are there for a moments notice.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, there have been no downsides to using Merge. I would say that a downside of integrating with any API platform is in general dealing with that amount of data you have questions about the data itself. But even that, Merge helps simplify. You get to see what data has sync'd with Merge before it arrives at your platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge helps us with integrating with many API platforms. By using Merge with have one place to integrate with many platforms. It helps us be more productive in a short amount of time.
Merge is f*cking awesome
What do you like best about the product?
We didn't have to build out a ton of HRIS and ATS integrations. Super easy to set up and get going. Easy for our CS and customers to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their ADP WFN integration was spotty at the beginning. I have a hunch it's not their fault.. but that was difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are a million HRIS companies, and we need to integrate with their software for our product to work. Merge made it way easier for us and our customers to manage these integrations!
Merge amplifies our HRIS and ATS integration capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
Merge handles the heavy lifting of connecting to, parsing, and normalizing data from dozens of HRIS and ATS systems. This allows our small engineering team to focus on our product and how we use that data, rather than getting caught up in the mechanics and logistics. While these systems are moving targets, Merge's support team has been consistently helpful and responsive to any questions and issues (Shoutouts to Michelle!)
What do you dislike about the product?
Merge's common data model attempts to unify the shape of the data coming in from different systems. While this is great on paper, in practice it's not perfect; some HRIS systems will simply not support various fields, end users will have customized their configuration, etc. Depending on how you are planning to use the data, you may need to further process it. But let's be clear: this is still much easier coming through Merge than connecting to each system directly, and Merge is doing an impossible job very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge helps us connect to many different HRIS and ATS systems through a single unified integration method. This saves our team endless effort setting up and maintaining individual connections.
Time-saving unified API product with fantastic customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Merge has allowed our company to integrate our system with our customers' ATS/HRIS systems with less development effort than building our own native APIs. We appreciate the work that has been spent building the common model and that we can quickly activate new integrations without starting from scratch. The support from Merge is fantastic - the team is super responsive and always happy to jump on a live call to offer support where needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside is that we do have some more complex use cases that aren't fully possible using Merge. To be fair, much of this is limited by the end system that we are attempting to integrate with and Merge does try as much as possible to support where they can. But in practicality, it has meant that our integrations can only accomplish so much before we would have to consider building our own custom API. We have also spent considerable time writing custom passthrough requests for fields that don't quite fit with the common model. We have also had some struggles with documentation not fully capturing implicit behaviors and have come across situations where we made assumptions of how the API would work that ended up being wrong because of lack of documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge eases the process of integrating with HRIS/ATS systems by providing reusable capabilities so that we only need to integrate once and then we have “connectors” to multiple HRIS/ATS systems of interest to our company. It allows us to get a wide variety of integrations up and running more quickly than would have been possible if we were building our own APIs directly with these systems.
Merge helps you to focus on your business and growth
What do you like best about the product?
Merge significantly simplifies integration with ATS by introducing a general model common to all ATS systems with support for all operations. It helps you to fully focus on your business value and less on the integration itself. Your business can rapidly grow in support of different ATS systems integration for basic scenarios.
What do you dislike about the product?
Webhook support to get data changes from ATS systems ASAP is limited to a few ATS systems. On the other hand, Merge works closely with us to provide support and introduce new features based on our requirements 👍
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HireLogic solves modern hiring challenges on a platform that supports guided video interviews, machine learning-assisted candidate rankings, and AI-infused analytics. Merge helps us to introduce new ATS integrations to our product in days based on requirements from our clients. Clients will be able to seamlessly send position and candidate information to HireLogic, conduct and analyze interviews, and optionally send aggregated information back to ATS.
