Nice, but huge opportunities for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
It cover a lot of areas, not only APIM but also streaming and data integration
What do you dislike about the product?
Long time to value in case of iPaaS without SaaS (because infra)
Obsolete Java 11 (low performance, limited high real-time)
Limited scalability (max 10 nodes/molecules and 4 nodes in API GW)
Hide security vulnerabilities
The pricing is not transparent (a lot of changes in time and same parts are only for new clients)
Weak support (primary from Asia)
Limited key upgrades (requested addition payment)
It is not possible to use all Boomi functionalities in on-prem or out of AWS
Strong relation to one cloud provider (AWS, see Event Streams, OpenJDK from AWS, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main integration solution in company.
Effortless Integration, Needs Faster Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I like the integration part of Boomi where we can communicate with multiple systems smoothly using predefined connectors, without needing large lines of code. If I want to use Salesforce or Shopify, Boomi provides the desired connectors, and I just need to input some configuration values to connect with those platforms. The initial setup of Boomi was too easy as per the guide and service support. I use Boomi daily, and I'm quite impressed with its capabilities. I rate it a 9 out of 10 for recommending to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the process reporting takes a bit to load the documents in real-time, and that could be improved. After successful execution of any process, it should show the processed documents as soon as possible, but sometimes it takes 15-20 minutes, causing delays in operations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Boomi helps connect multiple systems, share data, and manage large datasets. I appreciate the smooth integration with predefined connectors, eliminating the need for extensive coding.
Cloud integration has transformed projects and delivers faster, more secure business workflows
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Boomi iPaaS is integration, as I have been integrating Boomi iPaaS with many source and destination systems such as Salesforce.
I use Boomi iPaaS as an integrator, connecting with Salesforce, which is a CRM tool, and NetSuite, which is an ERP tool, and I have backed up everything into a database. I have integrated all these systems through Boomi iPaaS, and I am also sending data to various websites using APIs with the HTTP connector in Boomi iPaaS and MDH from Master Data Hub, which is also in Boomi iPaaS, or Boomi Flow.
Additionally, I am using Boomi Agent Garden, Boomi API Studio, and Boomi MDH.
What is most valuable?
In my opinion, the best feature Boomi iPaaS offers is its user interface, which is easy to maintain, has a low cost, and offers low licensing costs, making it very easy to develop any integration.
Regarding features, Boomi iPaaS performs best and is more stable. It also has easy support, allowing me to contact the Boomi support vendor team for assistance with atoms, molecules, runtimes, and clusters. Security-wise, it is also more secure, enabling the use of internal OAuth 2.0 tokens and basic authentication for high-level authentication, and I can integrate with third-party services to obtain authentication, with some banking projects in Boomi iPaaS using PayU, Razorpay, and various payment platform authentications.
The positive impact of Boomi iPaaS on my organization has been significant, as after adopting it, I received many projects with the help of the Boomi vendor who brought me opportunities for Boomi iPaaS usage. Previously, I used TIBCO, MFT, and WebMethods, which were all very old systems. Boomi iPaaS is cloud-based and continues to update constantly, which has been very useful and led to more business.
I can definitely say I see specific positive outcomes after moving to Boomi iPaaS, noting improvements in efficiency, cost savings, and faster project delivery. The connector-based licensing cost is very low compared to other integration tools, and for security purposes, it is helpful. I have observed significant good performance transitioning from old legacy systems to Boomi iPaaS.
What needs improvement?
In terms of improvements, there is not much to enhance, but I believe a more user-friendly UI, solid Agent Garden features, and more training initiatives to promote Boomi iPaaS would be beneficial.
I wish Boomi iPaaS had more up-to-date authentication systems such as Microsoft Authenticator and Okta. Additionally, for documentation, they should prepare comprehensive documentation for all Boomi iPaaS products instead of a page-by-page website.
Though Boomi iPaaS is the best tool, it still requires improvement in reaching more people through training, appropriate documentation, and customer support, as their support team is not adequately trained.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Boomi iPaaS is indeed very stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
In terms of scalability, I find it highly scalable, and I would rate it a 10 out of 10.
How are customer service and support?
Regarding customer support, I would rate it as above average at about 60%.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I previously used TIBCO, a very old system, and I switched to Boomi iPaaS for its cloud capabilities.
Before selecting Boomi iPaaS, I evaluated other options such as WebMethods Integration, Workato, and MuleSoft.
What was our ROI?
I have observed a 100% return on investment, with considerable time saved and clients very happy with the output they received. Concerning fewer employees needed, Boomi iPaaS is indeed an automated developer system, leading to a need for fewer employees to manage the integration process.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing indicates it is a little bit high but still reasonable.
What other advice do I have?
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Boomi iPaaS a perfect 10. The reason I give it a 10 is that it is the best integration tool I have used until now, and it does not have any competitors at this moment.
My advice for others looking into using Boomi iPaaS is simple: go for it.

There are few things I like about Boomi Platform as below:
1. Easy navigation through it's features and components. After new global version release boomi it is easy to navigate through as there are changes in user interface.
2. Implementing requirements is quite easy as it provides abundance of connectors which can connect several systems such as servers, ERP, CRM systems, etc.
3. Boomi has clear and concise support in various forms such as well maintained documentation, articles, boomi dedicated AI studio and boomi community.
4. I am using Boomi everyday as a boomi developer and it provides better tasks as well as time management.
5. Integration is easy as it supports features such as inheritence, better readability, better organization, encapsulation, API's design and implementation, Authentication and lots of features.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are areas where Boomi can improve as below:
1. Lot of manual configuration while configuring few components such as Map shape, Map functions, Set properties shape.
2. Large process execution limition on canvas. Not more than 10 MB can be execute on canvas.
3. Loading time can be reduced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Boomi is a iPaas low code no code platform which helps to integrate different systems together. It acts as a middleware which does data transfers, processing and data transform. There is no need to write lots of lines of code as it provides different shapes for different requirements which ultimately reduces the time of development and testing. Further, the procedure to create package a process and deployment is easy to understand. It requires practice and anyone can master it.
Integration workflows have become smoother while prebuilt connectors support faster delivery
What is our primary use case?
Boomi iPaaS is another integration or ETL tool that I am currently using. I recently started working, and it has been hardly five to six months. I need some time to understand the entire Boomi iPaaS because I have hardly delivered a couple of processes only. I am currently working as a Boomi iPaaS developer.
For the previous six months, I was working on a migration project where we were migrating data from Informatica. We were migrating the design from Informatica to Boomi iPaaS. There was not much initial user requirement. It was just a matter of whatever syntax we had built in Informatica, we were migrating to Boomi iPaaS. The current project is still something I need to understand in terms of what exactly the business requirement is. I have not received the use cases yet.
What is most valuable?
Integration is very good, but I am looking for AI capabilities which can help us to reduce our workload. That is something I am looking for in terms of AI capabilities. Integration-wise, it is a pretty good tool.
I used a database connector. It is pretty good, actually. Those are easy to handle. Database connectors and SFTP connectors are very easy to handle and easy to connect. The pre-built connectors and functionalities they have will definitely be helpful. However, it is very time-consuming, and whatever the pre-built connectors and functionalities they provide, managing them is time-consuming yet easy to handle.
What needs improvement?
I think data governance and data catalog are areas that Boomi iPaaS can focus on. Informatica has data catalog and data lineage functionalities, in addition to their ETL capabilities. Boomi iPaaS can work on the same concept where you can build your own data governance and get data lineage. That is something functionality they should look into.
For how long have I used the solution?
I recently started working, and it has been hardly five to six months.

Boomi: Effortless Integration with Stellar Support
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the wide variety of options Boomi provides for building, deploying integrations, and handling insights and performance. Boomi AI is a standout feature for me because it helps us work on integrations daily and resolve errors quickly when we get stuck. Boomi makes my daily job a bit easier and more creative, allowing me to dive deeper into learning new things and improving the quality and performance of our integrations. The initial setup was straightforward, and the Boomi team was greatly supportive, attentive, and cooperative, which I appreciated a lot. I'm pleased to be part of the Boomi community.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the Boomi AI agent a bit lacking because it's stuck when it comes to correcting spelling or grammatical mistakes. It struggles with understanding what we want to convey, especially if there are sentence order issues. It often replies that it can only answer questions directly about Boomi, even when we ask relevant questions related to integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Boomi simplifies integration by providing a drag-and-drop interface, a variety of options to meet all requirements, and AI assistance to create basic integration templates. It answers our queries, enhancing ease and creativity in daily tasks. Boomi constantly updates, making our work easier.

Powerful Middleware with Initial Setup Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I think what we like about Boomi is the uptime and the API, which is very robust and constantly being innovative. It's great that it easily connects with platforms like AWS as well. We recently started using Boomi with AWS, and although there was a bit of a learning curve, once we got there, it was fantastic. We have been able to create queues in AWS, and Boomi has done a great job making calls to our ERP while checking concurrency. This really helps us assess how much data we can push into the ERP at any given time, depending on user activity. Also, Boomi is constantly developing its features for the future. They're using AI to trigger alerts when something goes wrong or to find anomalies in the data, which then sends an email to our BA team to help them make faster decisions. I appreciate these aspects of Boomi a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are server restarts in Boomi, which can cause some transactions to be lost. It's a bit of a hassle because we have to find out which transactions were successfully imported and which weren't after a restart. It would be better if this issue was fixed so we wouldn't have to spend so much time dealing with transaction failures due to server restarts. Also, while Boomi is easy to use once it's set up, it's crucial to get the right people to set it up correctly. Just paying for the software doesn't bring efficiency; you have to invest in the right expertise upfront.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Boomi simplifies integrating various platforms with our ERP, pushing transactions to and from warehouses globally. It allows us to scale easily, manage data flows from multiple sources, and expand into new regions efficiently. Using Boomi, we streamline our processes, enhancing global connectivity and operational flexibility.
