    Use ManageEngine ADManager Plus to Make Your AD Woes Disappear

    What do you like best about the product?
    We use ManageEngine ADManager Plus to automate all operations that involve Active Directory within our environment. We use it from the very beginning in our onboarding process. It is simple to set up different types of profiles for different types of employees. ADManager Plus automatically configures everything from their display name, email configuration, group lists, and licensing. After setup, ADManager Plus allows my team to manage users in any way we wish, making account changes a thing of simplicity.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    The program itself is somewhat clunky. It doesn't have as modern a feel as some other programs. This doesn't detract from the usage of the program, which is still very effective. However, when things are a bit more modern it makes it a joy to use.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    We decided to use ManageEngine ADManager Plus due to the compatibility it had with our systems. We run a hybrid environment and ManageEngine ADManager Plus was the system that fit into our infrastructure the best. It also provides the most opportunity for growth in the way we want and does not require us to build on systems we are not yet ready to implement.

    What do you like best about the product?
    ADManager Plus has made our daily AD tasks much easier. User creation, password resets, group management, and bulk changes can be done quickly without much manual effort. It is easy to use and saves a lot of time for our team.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    There isn't much to dislike. It would be great to see more automation options.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    ADManager Plus has simplified our day-to-day Active Directory administration. It helps us with user creation, password resets, group management, and bulk updates, saving a lot of manual effort and time.

    What do you like best about the product?
    One of the key strengths of this tool is its ability to delegate administrative tasks efficiently without the risk of overprovisioning access.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    I honestly can’t find anything to dislike about this tool.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Being able to delegate tasks helps us lighten the workload for our admins. And because there’s an audit trail for everything done in the tool, we can review actions easily without losing accountability.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Active Directory reports. Being able to modify multiple AD objects at the same time. Create AD objects using pre defined templates
    What do you dislike about the product?
    The application is a bit slow when querying domain controllers.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    The main benefit is that it saves time for the IT team, reduces repetitive administrative work, and helps us standardize how user accounts are handled. It also improves accountability because we have better visibility into technician activity and changes made within the system.

    What do you like best about the product?
    I appreciate the reporting feature in ManageEngine ADManager Plus. With just a click, I can get reports that would take days with other tools, and ADManager gets it done in minutes. It's incredibly time-saving when I need to find out how many licensed users we have. It provides the information I need about who has what licenses, which helps me make decisions about Microsoft suite systems.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Exchange online and M365 reports are limited. I know they have another product for it called M365 plus, but if they can bring some of the audits to it, it will be great. Also, through templates, it can improve human errors.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    I use ManageEngine ADManager Plus for account creation, modification, and reporting. It saves time and costs by simplifying licensing audits, providing quick access to reports that other tools take days to generate.

    What do you like best about the product?
    ManageEngine ADManager Plus is great at helping technicians manage Active Directory, I especially like all the bulk management abilities as well as generating defined reports on our environment
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Sometimes, performance on the server can be somewhat slow. It is also not cheap even though I believe it has a lot of value. It would be great if there were even more integrations with other third party IT tools.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    We use some of the automation features that automates an entire workflow, such as onboarding new users, as well as integrating our HR system UKG into Active Directory and importing value from UKG. It also allows us to manage our O365 environment much easier by using hybrid user groups synced to O365.

    What do you like best about the product?
    It speeds up our new hire processes so we can focus on other aspect of onboarding. Upgrade processing are straight forward and simple. The support team has customized the app in a particular situation just to meet our needs which I thought was huge.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    There is nothing I particularly dislike about the product.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Mostly time sinks setting up various groups and configuration for a user setup. Time it take to track down log in failures. With the password expiration features it not only helps cut down on users forgetting to change their password but when it does happen I have an easy to discover if its a password issues. Prices remain somewhat consistent so I do not have to wheel and deal or move to another product due to but constraints because the price went up. While it may not be recommended I found I can run a couple of the products on a single server reducing the compute footprint and I don't lose on how well the product performs by doing so.

    What do you like best about the product?
    The ease of initial setup and the reports that can be generated from it are what drove me to want to use it initially. It has so many features that can be used and the setup can be very complex if you really want to dive in, but the nice thing is that it can be done over time. The initial setup to get it reporting and allowing you to make changes from it are very easy and quick. I have had very few issues with it and when I did have to reach out to support, they were very helpful. Quick to respond and answered all my questions. One of the best features of this product is the cost. I would say the only issue I have with any of the products is the amount of RAM that it takes to run the applications, but at least before, that was cheap.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    The only real downside i have found with it is the amount of system resources it takes to run. Not this in general as i run the full Log 360 product, but overall it uses a lot of resources to run.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    It gives a central location for monitoring Active Directroy as well as allows me certain key reports that i need to pull monthly for SOX reporting. I had not found any other products that did it as easily and quickly as this product and the cost was great compared to others.

    What do you like best about the product?
    It will keep track of all the changes that are made in Group Policy. If we find and issue down the road we can review those changes using AD Manager. It has saved us a few times.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    The Workflow tab can be a somewhat overwhelming the first few times using it.
