Uploading receipts when not paid with ramp card is extremely annoying

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1% cash back and the various corporate card limits
What do you dislike about the product?
When I pay for business expenses out of pocket it is for a specific reason. For example my credit card company gives me various perks like rental car insurance, mileage, etc. Uploading a receipt one by one and manually entering the details is a nightmare. Also the receipt can only be one page pdf so if the details are on the 2nd or 3rd page it doesn't capture the invoice (like an airline ticket).

It would be so easy for you to do image recognition with all expenses sent over email to receipts@ramp.com from my email address. I'm not sending you love letters. You already do it for ramp card expenses (I think, since the amount $ is pulled in).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Company cards for various purposes, limiting spending

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature is the synchronization between Ramp and Quickbooks, which allows even first-time entrepreneurs to easily understand accounting information, cash flow, and manage all company bank accounts through Ramp. The mobile app also allows for uploading receipts, submitting expense reports, and managing physical and virtual cards.

The best part is that the physical cards can be customized with the company's logo, which gives a strong sense of ownership.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dissatisfaction is that the single transaction limit is too low. If the transaction amount exceeds $5,000, it will not go through, even if your credit limit is $50,000. There is no real-time phone customer service available to assist either, so the only solution is to use another company card for the transaction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing all company expenses and synchronizing them with Quickbooks, with a more user-friendly interface compared to Quickbooks or other similar services.

So much increased efficiency!

What do you like best about the product?
We were tracking all our expense reports in elaborate and time consuming spreadsheets and attempting to collect paper receipts from remote employees. It was a reconciliation nightmare, and Ramp has taken us from a 45% receipt return to almost 100% receipt return!
What do you dislike about the product?
As a travel company that has employees working all over the globe, there are some limitations in certain countries that we have to work around. It would be really helpful if we had more access to some of the countries that are currently not supported by Ramp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have increased receipt collection, as well as improved expense categorization and classification. It has streamlined our expense reporting and eased our month end close processes.

Increases efficiency, cuts down on job closeout headaches

  • March 01, 2023

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that it puts the responsibility for recording receipts and job codes down to the lowest level, and provides a centralized snapshot of spending across the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Low credit limit--we run COGS at about 60% of revenue, and with 1.3M in sales last year and projected 100% growth this year, we are constantly having to pay down our dinky 7K credit limit in order to keep the cards active.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
automated reminders and point of sale data entry and receipt capture means we spend less time hounding employees to turn in receipts, can produce near real-time reporting on job costing, and can close out the books quickly on each job.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease at which we can track our receipts and APH reimbursement to our staff for an approved expense.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see more breakdowns of costs associated to specific teams through a report that can be accessed by individuals below a admin level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking receipts and approve expenses beyond a card holders limit

Very Good Set of Spend Management Tools for Free

  • March 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ramp provides an easy to use spend management platform. The ability for your team to request cards that can be approved and provisioned from the tool helps to decentralize the purchasing process. The configurable approval routing is also helpful to provide visibility and ownership. When credit cards can't be used, Ramp has an ever improving bill pay system. Can't leave out expense reporting which is a big plus so that it isn't managed in another system or poorly built internal tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited controls for admin users. Many details for individual users require you to submit a support ticket to change. Ramp is quick and responsive though. Travel reporting could also be improved with more flexibility to pull in transactions from expense reports or split transactions from one card between multiple people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Corporate cards. We are able to create vendor specific or task specific cards that are owned by the people who own the accounts. Decentralizing the purchasing process while maintaining control. Bill Pay for free. Expense reporting which is extremely easy on the team and approvers now compared to the hybrid setup of people who travel more having one tool while everyone else used an internal Google Form.

A really well-constructed platform that accommodates customer needs.

What do you like best about the product?
I think Ramp's user interface and customer service are extremely intuitive. I have had phenomenal experiences as a customer of Ramp, and have found that any questions I ever have are addressed quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe there are still some features that Ramp is working on building out within the platform that will address a lot of my dislikes i.e. advanced vendor management and billing, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of controlling spending on our film productions has been the main benefit. It has increased transparency, receipt collection, and much more. All of this documentation is crucial to our business.

One less administrative burden

  • March 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ramp makes it impossible to mess up expense tracking. For example, I get a text and email when I use my Ramp card, and I can text a picture of my receipt back to them and they know which charge to tie it to. The system is smart and intuitive! The app is also incredibly easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ramp sends a LOT of daily emails to me as a card manager, but I do have the ability to go in and choose which emails I want to recieve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp makes it easy to control the card limits of our employees so they are not overspending!
