Sophos MDR Review
What do you like best about the product?
Having used Sophos MDR for the last few years one of the things that stands out is how very well designed and easy to use their interface is. In addition, their communication and timely, focused updates make our company feel very safe and secure in using their service. I have not had much need for their technical support but when I have had to use it, they were responsive, knowledgable and above all quick. I don't think I would personally sleep well at night if I didn't know that Sophos MDR was monitoring our netwoek 24/7/365.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really, like any other service I wish it was cheaper. But, I really don't mind paying extra for that feeling of safety.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small business and don't really have the resources to dedicate full time for network security. Sophos has been a solid partner in managing and monitoring our network. There is absolutely no way we would be able to achieve their level of thoroughness on our own.
Sophos MDR: improving security with a simple click
What do you like best about the product?
Since we were already clients of Sophos InterceptX Advanced with XDR, moving to MDR is just a matter of adding the license and setting up the contact methods, so the ease of integration is maximum. Sophos takes care of everything, moreover, there is even an onboarding service to verify that everything is correct. Once configured, Sophos takes care of everything: reviewing detections, analyzing them, and if necessary, responding in record time. MDR has allowed us to save a lot of time, as it is no longer necessary for us to review the console daily, since they do it for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sophos MDR can be somewhat strict, in the sense of teams that we know have some deficiency that they ask us to resolve and we must justify the reason why they must remain as they are. We understand that their state is not correct, but due to operational issues, it is not possible to change them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Two main problems: lack of time and high level of knowledge. Being an MDR, we no longer have to invest time in reviewing XDR alerts and contextualizing them, but also, if a response is needed, Sophos takes care of it for us. Regarding knowledge, even though we have staff focused on cybersecurity, it is impossible to reach the level of dedication required to conduct the number of proactive threat searches, because even if one is very up-to-date with the latest developments, a team like MDR, with all the clients it has, will always be much more updated and will look for new problems even before cybercriminals attempt them.

Occassionally we have false positives...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos MDR provides us with 24/7 threat hunting, detection and remediation. With our existing team we would not be able to do this on a 24/7 basis and real threats would go undetected until something really bad happened. With the MDR team actively monitoring inside of our environment we're able to detect and remediate before a catastrophe occurs.

support is only in english. In my opinion this it's a little gap to close
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The team keep investigating 24/7 about suspiciuos behaviour in our infrastructure. They resolved lot of issue every day, from easy to critical.

Sophos: An In-Depth Take on Its Strengths and Drawbacks
What do you like best about the product?
I have to say, my experience with Sophos has been absolutely incredible. From the moment I started configuring the products with pro support, I knew I was in good hands. The pro support deployment made it so easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The endpoint does not manage the firewall is one of my dislike about Sophos. Also there MDR team does do human threat huntting but it does not give you the indepth look as a full security operations center (SOC). For an example you will not get an alert from Sophos if a user log in from USA and then latter that day they log in from Ireland.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the MDR product, I got there threate hunting and that was a need we have for complance. It is very nice to have a MDR team that is just a call or email away. Most of our Table top exercises one of the top 5 steps is contact MDR team.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos is a UK product with intense experience in end point security and with their managed service including 1 million dollar assurance is a key attraction. Unlimited incidense response is another attraction compared to other products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sophos MDR prices are high compared to the local SOC providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
24 hour monitoring is solved for us. unlike other soc providers, sophos eliminate all risk and verifies false positives. it is their responsibility to ensure we are secure.

What do you like best about the product?
24/7 Support, Cyber Security Experts, Easy to use, Easy to integrate.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing i don't like about Sophos MDR.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides comprehensive security, even outside the working hours of our IT department. This increases security and virtually eliminates downtime.
A no nonsense MDR solution that works out the box
What do you like best about the product?
Sophos MDR offers a simple but extensive policy engine which allows our organisation to create policy which truely reflects our business. Implementation is straight forward with agent onboarding performed with a few clicks or an automated install script. Sadly (or not so sadly) I've not had to engage customer support much as the MDR product just works. As a daily driver of the product I'd have to say I am overall impressed with Sophos MDR solution
What do you dislike about the product?
Althought integration is straight forward the pay to integrate model is a hard pill to swallow, we have network services with a leading provider and we find that paying several thousand to bring that visability into the solution to be a bit unfair.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing a robust security solution with a streamlined information security team. The tool including features that include FIM, EDR, Web Controls and DLP

No downsides, I haven't found anything I dislike about Sophos MDR
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos MDR has helped increase our Cyber security posture and provide enhanced reporting for our stakeholders. Knowing that a team of Analysts are monitoring 24/7 provides comfort to the business and clients that we are taking security serously.
