Scaling Mobile Testing with BrowserStack and CI/CD Integration

  • April 01, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Testing our mobile application on real devices has been a game changer for us. With a limited number of test engineers, validating the app across multiple devices and OS versions is a significant challenge. BrowserStack simplifies this by giving us seamless access to real devices, along with the flexibility to select device types and OS versions at runtime. Our tests run automatically every time code is merged into our QA branch, and when combined with our CI/CD pipeline, running tests across a wide range of mobile devices becomes effortless and stress-free. The automated test report emails further add value by allowing us to quickly distribute results to the team without any manual intervention. Way to go, BrowserStack!
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s very little downside to call out. One enhancement we’d love to see is AI‑driven suggestions to optimize test execution time. We occasionally receive feedback that our pipelines take longer to complete, and it would be extremely helpful if BrowserStack could predict test run times and recommend—or even automatically adjust—the number of parallel threads to reduce overall execution time. This kind of intelligent optimization would add significant value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack solves the challenge of effectively testing mobile applications across a wide range of real devices and OS versions, which would otherwise be difficult and resource‑intensive—especially with a limited number of test engineers. Maintaining and managing physical devices in‑house is not scalable, and ensuring adequate test coverage across device and OS combinations is a constant struggle. Indirectly, it removes the need to hire additional resources or reduce testing scope due to resource limitations.

By providing on‑demand access to real devices, BrowserStack eliminates these constraints and gives us the flexibility to choose device types and OS versions at runtime. This has significantly improved our test coverage and confidence in application quality.

Essential for Real Device Testing, Some Disconnection Issues

  • April 01, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the real device coverage BrowserStack provides, offering an impressive list of physical devices to run my Appium scripts across multiple environments. It's important for me because mobile apps behave differently depending on the OS version and the actual hardware. The ability to pick a specific device and run my script against it gives me a confidence level that emulators can't match. I've caught bugs that only appear on certain Android versions. Additionally, the video recordings and session logs have saved me a lot of time when debugging failures—I just watch what happened and share it with developers instead of trying to reproduce issues manually.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sessions can disconnect during longer test runs, which can be frustrating. The dashboard feels a bit clustered when trying to navigate between device configurations and test results quickly. Better filtering in the test results view would be helpful because it can get hard to navigate quickly, especially if looking for a specific failed run from earlier in the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack solves the problem of not owning every Android and iOS device by providing access to real devices, catching issues emulators miss. It offers real device coverage for confidence in testing, and time-saving video recordings and session logs aid debugging.

Wide Device Variety, but iOS Loading and Installation Can Be Unreliable

  • March 31, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A large variety of mobile phone models help to test different edge cases of the mobile application rendering.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slow loading of the iOS devices. Flaky installation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We test mobile application on different platforms and different phone models. We don't need to own and manage those devices.

Laggy and Limited: Clipboard, Upload, and Session Issues in BrowserStack Testing

  • March 31, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
If it's necessary to do bug testing a phone then BrowserStack is a comfortable option that allows use of a keyboard and mouse, obviously easier than tapping on a phone for hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is wonky however, as there is frequently a bit of a lag and also much difficulty pasting from a clipboard. That can lead to frustration as it is often necessary to make multiple attempts to copy/paste into the app. Also, nothing can be saved for a new session, such as bookmarks. I honestly went back to using my real phone for testing because of these issues. The work I needed to do requires uploading photos and documents into our web-based platform, which can't really be done on the test phone (I had to use the half dozen or so "office" scene or Browserstack images in Photos on the test phone. I could not upload documents in the testing environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have moved into the mobile testing phase for our new platform and needed to test on a variety of phones, but the Browserstack tool didn't work great for us due to the need to upload photos and docs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to add as of now. It’s quite good and user-friendly, and I’ve found it easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned earlier, I need to do cross-browser testing and run tests on different devices, which BrowserStack provides.

Reliable Real-Device Testing That Streamlines Cross-Browser Validation

  • March 31, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about BrowserStack is how easily it enables real-device and cross-browser testing without needing to maintain any physical infrastructure. It saves a lot of setup time and allows quick validation across multiple environments, which is critical for catching compatibility issues early. The platform is reliable, easy to use, and integrates well with automation tools, making both manual and automated testing much more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of BrowserStack is that sessions can sometimes feel slow or laggy, especially on real devices or under heavy load. It can also be a bit expensive for smaller teams, and parallel testing limits can become a bottleneck. Occasionally, debugging issues on remote devices is harder compared to local testing, and there can be minor inconsistencies or flakiness in automated runs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack solves the problem of testing across multiple browsers, devices, and OS combinations without the need to maintain a large physical device lab. It eliminates infrastructure overhead and helps catch cross-browser and real-device issues early in the development cycle.

For me, it significantly improves testing efficiency by enabling quick validation across environments, reduces release risk by identifying compatibility issues sooner, and supports faster debugging through easy access to logs, screenshots, and recordings. It also helps scale both manual and automated testing, which is especially useful in fast-paced development environments.

Versatile Testing Platform with Vast Options

  • March 31, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that BrowserStack provides vast options for testing, including AI integrations. I really appreciate how it allows me to test on multiple devices and with cross-browser options. I find the process of generating test cases using PRD incredibly useful, and the automation features like automation generation and auto-healing are beneficial. Also, the initial setup was quite easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the browser gets slow while testing apps. If I'm testing for a longer time, it starts getting lag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use BrowserStack for app and web testing across multiple devices and cross-browser options. It provides vast testing options, AI integrations, test case generation using PRD, and automation features like auto-healing.

Simplifies Multi-Browser Testing with Real Devices

  • March 31, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use BrowserStack for multi-browser testing, responsive UI verification on real devices, and debugging issues that don't occur in my local environment. It eliminates the need to maintain multiple physical devices and environments by booting up different simulators. I like the ability to instantly test on real devices rather than on simulations or maintaining different physical devices. It also has reliable debugging tools. After taking some time with the initial setup, I found it easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes device sessions can be slow or unresponsive. Latency during real device testing can interrupt workflows. Faster session startup and reduced latency can improve the experience. Took some time for initial setup but afterwards easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use BrowserStack for multi-browser testing and responsive UI verification on real devices. It eliminates the need to maintain multiple physical devices by providing simulators, and offers reliable debugging tools.
