A fantastic tool to manage passwords

What do you like best about the product?
I have over 500 different logins. Thanks to Dashlane I only need to remember one. It syncs across my devices making things so much easier. I feel so much more secure thanks to Dashlane as I have different, random, secure passwords for every single login I have. I recently changed my login and the implementation was super easy to transfer. I had to contact support and they were incredibly helpful. I use Dashlane countless times every day and wouldn't be without now.

We have also recently purchased Dashlane Business and rolled this out to all employees. It now means all employees use a secure password manager by default and as a company we can be reassured employees are using auto-generated secure passwords for each login. We can see how secure employees passwords are and if any are re-used. It was really easy to setup and integrate.

There is nothing more important to us than data security and dashlane helps us to be as secure as we can be from a password management perspective.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be annoying when it auto-logs into a website when you want to login with a different account you have for that same provider. Otherwise, very few negatives and would highly recommend.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing all the different logins (over 500) and making me personally and all of the company team as secure as we possibly can be. It is useful to be able to see an overview of how strong/weak and re-used passwords collegues have across the business. It is a great tool when onboarding new employees as they instantly then have the mindset to act securly when it comes to passwords.

Great for Personal Use; Business is Good but Complicated

What do you like best about the product?
I love the built-in 2FA token feature. As more and more websites and applications require 2FA, it's nice not having to know whose phone is being used as the 2FA source for a shared web account. I've been using it on many sites that don't require 2FA but have the option just due to how easy Dashlane makes the feature to use.

I like that Dashlane recognizes what website you're on and suggests passwords based on that data, and it has the ability to link other websites those credentials are also used with.

I like that Dashlane shows which accounts are using re-used passwords or compromised passwords so we can easily determine where we need to improve security and cut down on credential re-use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing passwords shared with others via groups or just individuals is cumbersome. When a password is created via a new login, it would be nice to have the option to share it right away instead of having to go back into the web console later and share it. We've had numerous passwords created by users that never got shared like they should have, and the time-savings of the helpful "Do you want to save this password?" prompt when a new password is first entered is nullified by having to go back and manually update sharing settings, among other settings.

I also don't like that you can't rename the password during the initial "save this password" prompt, so even more manually intervention is needed to properly name a password to clarify its intent.

Both of these issues are further exacerbated by the fact that you should change sharing settings before renaming the password which doesn't seem like a big deal at first, but when you try to rename before changing sharing settings, you need to save the password first, which closes the password configuration window, and you'll need to reopen it to change the sharing settings.

Also, when a group owns a password, that group is not allowed to delete the password because the password is shared with a group. We have many passwords that were previously owned by an individual that was shared to our group. That original owner has been removed from the permissions lists, but there are some passwords that could be deleted. So we needed to add another individual, then remove the group before deleting the password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashlane is the solution we use for secure password management. It allows our licensed users to have access to the appropriate shared credentials, and it gives them a secure place to store their personal credentials as well. It does all of this without the ability to easily steal them out of a browser's built-in password management system. It makes 2FA much easier as well, reducing the need to keep all of that info on your phone.

One of the best password managers available

What do you like best about the product?
As a tech lawyer, I appreciate the high-level security coupled with ease of use and flexibility. I like that I can set up a PIN to make logging in quicker (and not have to memorize the Master Password). Dashlane is straightforward enough for a neophyte but has all the features you could ever want for an enterprise-scale product. I love being able to securely share passwords for certain business accounts that require it - like giving my accountant access to my CMS/billing system without paying for an extra seat license just to upload data to Quickbooks. Roll-out was a breeze, and I actially got staff buy-in for using it. I love generating security-compliant passwords on the fly without repeating them or having to memorize a bunch of random characters. We use it constantly throughout the day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like most password managers, Dashlane has plug-ins for most browsers, which are great when they work. Because of the specific site's security configuration, you may lose the password you just set up or overwrite your old one too soon. This is easy enough to recover, but it is still annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So many sites now require complicated passwords, and reusing passwords is a security no-no. Dashlane is the answer. It will auto-generate those tricky passwords and save them for you. No more sticky notes, no more password notebooks, no more resetting your password every time you log on somewhere. Now, if only it could handle 57-factor authentication!

Good value

What do you like best about the product?
This is the first password manager I have used (other than Google). I feel so much more secure knowing my staff aren't saving passwords in spreadsheets. I also like the password health score, I was able to incentivize my staff to increase their score and most are now over 90%! We receive a discounted subscription through Tech Soup which is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I have to use MFA to sign into Dashlane on my phone. I want it for my laptop, but it seems silly when I'm using biometrics AND the authenticator is located on my phone as well. We have had a few problems where folks mysteriously get locked out of their account and have to reinstall the Chrome extension which isn't great and initially took a long time to solve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashlane forces my staff to use complex passwords and to save them in a secure environment.

We Love Dashlane!

What do you like best about the product?
Our entire staff keeps all company passwords in one system and best of all I have complete control of all of them. No more using the same password for every login.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all websites allow for auto login. (Not sure if this a dashlane issue)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashlane allows us to have a unique password for every login across all employees without having to manage all those passwords in a spreadsheet or separate system. It also allows me to store personal passwords and keep them separate in the system/app.

Seamless Security with Dashlane

What do you like best about the product?
Dashlane stands out due to its ease of use, robust security, and excellent features. Its user-friendly interface makes navigating and managing passwords simple. The automatic password changer and VPN service are particularly impressive, enhancing security effortlessly.

Dashlane’s encryption is top-tier, and its ability to sync passwords across devices seamlessly makes it incredibly convenient. I also value the digital wallet feature for safe and quick online transactions. With responsive customer support, Dashlane offers a reliable and efficient way to manage digital security.

Overall, Dashlane is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to improve their digital safety with minimal hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, I've een using Dashlane for a while now, and honestly, the peace of mind knowing I don't have to remember a zillion passwords is just the best.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Password Fatigue: Many people struggle with remembering multiple complex passwords, leading to the use of simple, reused passwords across accounts. Dashlane alleviates this issue by generating and storing strong, unique passwords for each account, reducing the risk of security breaches.
2.Security Vulnerabilities: With cyber threats increasing, having weak or compromised passwords can leave individuals exposed to data breaches. Dashlane uses advanced encryption technology to secure passwords and sensitive information, providing a robust barrier against potential cyber attacks.

Personal Benefit: Personally, using Dashlane means less stress about remembering passwords or worrying about the security of my online accounts. It saves me time every day, not just by auto-filling passwords but also in auto-filling forms and payment details securely. It's like having a reliable digital assistant for all things related to online security and efficiency.

What do you like best about the product?
Secure, easy to administer, modern interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see an expanded list when searching, so we can more easily distinguish between websites in the same domain, but with independant login credentials, without having to open them one by one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Handles web accounts very easily, always seems to intuit what to enter in which field, even mult-page login processes. Eliminates use of unsecure password managers in web browsers.

Security for Small Business & Safe Credit Card Payments

  • March 01, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
We use Dashlane as part of the tech stack for our company. We have found Dashlane to be easy and intuitive for both employees and contractors, which helps us create streamlined onboarding. We also use the group feature so that we can give teams access to the right applications instead of giving global access to everything. Dashlane also makes offboarding simple. When a contractor completes a project of if we lose a team member, it's easy to revoke access.

As credit card theft increases, we no longer allow websites to save our credit card information. Instead we've selected credit cards and placed in dashlane for ease of payment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashlane can try to autofill at times when you don't want an autofill. For example, if you have three different logins to a domain, Dashlane is so quick it will login the last known credentials, which forces you to exit the domain and either try to be faster than Dashlane :) or turn Dashlane off and cut and paste the login credentials you want to use.

Great product

What do you like best about the product?
We migrated from LastPass and it was a relatively painless experience. Retaining the full password history has saved me a few times so far. Syncing users and groups from Active Directory is also a great time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan of the chatbot on their website. It never seems to fail over to a real person when the bot can't provide an answer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashlane is the perfect too to safeguard our personal and business data while online. It's ease of use as a password manager is top notch.
