What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using it, our product data was spread across different tools and teams. Organizing complex release workflows has simplified data retrieval and variant management

  • March 16, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Siemens PLM TeamCenter is to retrieve data and use it to perform releases or apply automatic filters.

I use Siemens PLM TeamCenter to filter the data using the references.

We primarily use Siemens PLM TeamCenter to store data that we create or to update any other data that we revise. We mostly use it for releases and related tasks.

What is most valuable?

The best features that Siemens PLM TeamCenter offers, in my experience, include the user interface which initially is somewhat different, but once you become accustomed to it, there are many options that TeamCenter provides. Once you understand all the options and features they provide, it becomes very useful for your work and makes your tasks significantly easier.

Our most favorite option in Siemens PLM TeamCenter is that we primarily used it to perform CAT releases. Sorting out data was difficult for us, but the option for creating a folder or a set of folders, rather than searching every time, allows us to release multiple variants or versions. We can simply copy and paste those particular revisions and proceed with that functionality. This is the main feature we use most frequently, and I found it to be an excellent option.

I appreciate the workflow and the process in Siemens PLM TeamCenter, the way that we interact and how the workflow is processed. The way it displays this information is very helpful.

Siemens PLM TeamCenter has positively impacted our organization by helping us sort the data, and in terms of work and releases, it makes our tasks very easy. Not only in terms of releasing, but whenever we retrieve previous data or benchmark something, TeamCenter is very helpful. It provides not only access to stored data but also the capability to create and save new data.

What needs improvement?

When I started using Siemens PLM TeamCenter initially, it was somewhat difficult for me to understand. Providing better information to users would be a very good option that TeamCenter could provide.

Regarding needed improvements for Siemens PLM TeamCenter, I suggest focusing on training and documentation. There are many things that can be accomplished using TeamCenter, so if there were proper documentation or a work statement for every feature or option, although that would be extensive, it would help many people to truly utilize Siemens PLM TeamCenter.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used Siemens PLM TeamCenter for approximately two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In my experience, Siemens PLM TeamCenter has faced many downtimes, and there were situations where we encountered errors in fetching data.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

In terms of scalability, Siemens PLM TeamCenter can handle growth, additional users, and increased data volume easily in my experience.

How are customer service and support?

Regarding customer support for Siemens PLM TeamCenter, we had a specific team for that within our organization. Whenever we faced an issue with TeamCenter, we would contact them directly. I have not reached any Siemens PLM TeamCenter support directly, but our internal team has.

What other advice do I have?

The only advice I would give to others looking into using Siemens PLM TeamCenter is to proceed with it. I would rate this product a 9 out of 10.

Smooth Setup, Comprehensive Lifecycle Management

  • March 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Teamcenter for product lifecycle management, specifically for design and marketing, and it has us covered. I loved the dashboard which has all the product stages inscribed in it. It tells me which stage needs amendment, and I can go into a particular stage and review all the steps taken on the product. I can find out lots of notes by looking at a particular stage, and if the product has a flaw, then I can go back to the stage where it has one and rectify it. Additionally, the initial setup was smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the report generation feature can do better. It should have more detailed insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Teamcenter for product lifecycle management, documenting every detail, and real-time execution. The dashboard helps identify stages needing amendment, allowing me to review steps and notes, which is helpful to rectify flaws.

Daily change management has become streamlined and supports faster CAD-driven development

  • March 07, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Siemens PLM TeamCenter is daily usage for CAD changes, change management, change request activities, and all the details required for change management and product development with product lifecycle management.

A specific example of how I use Siemens PLM TeamCenter for a CAD change is that it is integrated with our Creo, so I check in from PLM, make changes in models, and check out again, storing data such as drawings, calculation sheets, and process documents in PLM, along with BOM tracking and product part tracking.

I sometimes create workflows which adds to my main use case and helps in organizing processes.

What is most valuable?

The best features Siemens PLM TeamCenter offers are its user-friendly interface, which I find more intuitive than other PLMs, making it quite easy to use.

The search feature stands out as very easy in PLM, along with check in and check out functions, and BOM extractions alongside the multi-level BOM creation of PLM itself, which helps in allotting tasks and actions required from some people in workflows.

One feature I love is when we upload a new design; we have to make one folder, and after that, approval from the team lead results in it being directly released to PLM, significantly reducing the time to upload separate one-to-one files.

Siemens PLM TeamCenter has positively impacted my organization by always increasing its user-friendly interface, and we have both types of PLM and received positive feedback from TeamCenter.

I have noticed some positive feedback in that people say other PLMs are a bit harder to use compared to Siemens PLM TeamCenter. One point is concerning change management, as when we search for drawings, we can access it easily from Siemens PLM TeamCenter, and the check in and check out process is very easy.

What needs improvement?

In terms of improvements, I cannot add anything more than what I have experienced. When I use it in daily life, I get all things done as of now, so there is nothing to improve in Siemens PLM TeamCenter at this moment.

There is nothing to add regarding new features as per my work, so I am not able to suggest further additions.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Siemens PLM TeamCenter for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Siemens PLM TeamCenter has been stable and reliable for me most of the time.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Siemens PLM TeamCenter's scalability is good, and it can handle growth and changes in my organization easily.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for Siemens PLM TeamCenter is up to the mark, and I have received instant replies when needed.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Siemens PLM TeamCenter, I used Enovia, which was quite tricky to use for CAD changes, so we shifted to Siemens PLM TeamCenter because the Creo integration is the best.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with Siemens PLM TeamCenter, and it is always up to the mark in terms of metrics such as money saved or time saved.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Siemens PLM TeamCenter has been that it is quite high compared to Aras PLM, which I found is around 20 to 25 percent of the cost of PLM.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

The decision regarding which solution to choose was taken by management without me evaluating other options personally.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate Siemens PLM TeamCenter as a nine out of ten.

I chose nine out of ten for Siemens PLM TeamCenter because sometimes clearing the cache causes problems and makes Siemens PLM TeamCenter slow in the browser.

My advice to others looking into using Siemens PLM TeamCenter is that it is quite good to use Siemens PLM TeamCenter instead of others, particularly due to its user-friendly interface and the demand in the automotive industry.

I have no additional thoughts about Siemens PLM TeamCenter, as it is great and I am looking forward to working with the TeamCenter team if I get the chance. My overall rating for this product is nine out of ten.
