Teamcenter PLM for Discrete Manufacturing
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best-in-class PLM for Discrete manufacturing that is across industries and allows for good integration with other enterprise software such as ERP and MES. Has a very mature set of features and JT allows exchange of visual information. Siemens is very well positioned very well to enable Digital Thread capabilities among its peers right from Polarion for Requirements management to Opcenter to Shop floor Connect.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike in a mature product like Teamcenter. However cross compatibility could be better to allow for Digital Thread - always room to improve there for all PLM software. Could be expensive for some small and mid sized businesses. The Saas version is not as flexible. Reporting could be better.

Ease of use, active workspace or rich client options. Easy to use workflows to organize and release data

Active Worskpace needs more capability with options for multi paste.

Allows us to control revisions and maintain our products

What do you like best about the product?
The need to not have to open a model from Solid Edge to be able to extract data as well as preview a model is really nice. Being able to collaborate with others on a project team within the same cad environment is really nice as well.

The limit to customization that is required by an admin to be able to extract or view the data you want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration with other project members as well as documenting changes in design through the product's lifecycle.

I like that its agnostic to CAD and other upstream and downstream applications. Completely configurable to your business process and needs.

Licensing model and integration offering is antiquated (AIG).

Teamcenter is easy to integrate into other systems. ERP / Electrical / Requirements.. etc..

Automation around deployments, scalability.. and DevOps. Wish it was more up to date. Deployment center is not the solution.

The most important feature i like about Teamcenter is their ease to maintain services because their affordable pricing gives very effective services on low cost. They have best product data and lifecycle management features.

I like their integration and implemetation process because its very ease to deploye and setup. They support us on every single step where we need any help.
