Data Zero to Data Hero
What do you like best about the product?
The great thing about DataCamp is that it hosts a wide range of data and digital courses fit for any (user regardless) of their skill or knowledge level to learn about platforms, tools, coding languages, and more. On top of that, you can earn certificates and other credentials for coursework - whether self-guided or following well-structured learning paths. There is even a way to connect with project work for deeper skill/knowledge application (a multitude of resources). In this digital age, everyone needs to have some level of data literacy to be effective in the work force, and DataCamp will get you there like it is for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would like access to on DataCamp are courses focused on ERP systems and linking those to digital transformation to take work environments to the next level. The content seems mostly focused on cloud computing, databases, coding, and AI - hot topics for sure, but missing out on more timeless topics a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preparing me for broadening my work scope and expertise, adding to my marketability and effectiveness with making data driven decisions
Best learning platform for new data analyst
What do you like best about the product?
I started a new role as a revenue analyst in an airline. upon joining the team everyone was proficient with power Bi and SQL but me. The knowledge I had whereas I thought was sufficient, I was not. And that meant I was lagging the team behind.
One of the data analyst in the wider organization, recommended I try data camp and take up sessions in small bite-able chunks. He set me up since our company provides access and I began my journey. It has been great, though some of our data needed polishing for the training to make sense. We also use teradata at work therefore the SQL session learnt needed a tiny bit of adjustment to our current system and data.
Overally I'm happy with DataCamp and my colleagues as data scientist got 50% off on their Microsoft certifications.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the regular marketing emails sent otherwise I'm happy with the sessions as you get to choose the length of study.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me with my data analysis and visualization. For instance I am able to extract data, polish it and come up with a meaningful information that I could present to stakeholders
Learning Buffet

Some chapter combined with lots of new things such as, for python course, some chapter full of new functions that I would feel confused.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Python courses helped me gain python knowledge from the foundamental.

What do you dislike about the product?
Need some benefits for being on top of the leaderboard to increase motivation.
Has no flexibility of approach in assignments(Between lectures). I understand that it provides examples of class, but I need it to be a little more lenient, as I would like to try my approach first.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a junior data engineer, one of the biggest challenges I faced early on was bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical, job-ready skills. DataCamp helped solve this by offering hands-on, interactive learning that focuses on real-world tools and workflows used in data engineering.
Here’s how it’s benefiting me:
Skill Development with Real Tools:
DataCamp provides guided training on tools like SQL, Python, Apache Airflow, and Spark—technologies I now use in my day-to-day work. This gave me the confidence to contribute to pipeline development and data transformation tasks early in my role.
Structured Learning Paths:
The Data Engineering track is well-organized, helping me build a strong foundation before diving into more complex topics. It saved me time compared to piecing together tutorials from different sources.
Practice-Driven Learning:
The platform’s interactive coding exercises and mini-projects helped reinforce concepts. I wasn’t just watching videos—I was applying what I learned immediately, which made the knowledge stick.
Flexibility and Accessibility:
As someone balancing work and learning, the ability to learn at my own pace and revisit topics when needed was a huge plus.

Better than MS courses
What do you like best about the product?
The structure of the series of courses is easy to navigate, the way each exercise is presented, and the fact that it provides you with activities to practice, allows you not only to learn the theory but also to internalise the knowledge. I do want to continue my learning path with DataCamp. I started with one PBI course, but now it is suggesting more courses to become a data engineer and support the role better in the organisation I work for, which is excellent!
Finally, it is essential to mention that connecting and implementing the platform in our department was extremely easy; everybody could set up accounts easily. The leaderboard keeps us engaged and motivates us to make progress constantly.

My native language is Spanish, and some of the courses are not completely translated (audio). It's not a big deal because I know English, but some of my work colleagues find it challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to learn new skills to perform my job
