Streamlined Research and Coding with Perplexity

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Perplexity for a lot of research tasks, and its ability to link directly to SharePoint sites makes searching through documents much easier. Perplexity's coding ability is impressive, even though I'm not a great coder, it helps solve complex tasks and integrate solutions with ease. Its ability to create spaces linked directly to multiple SharePoints is a big plus for me. The SharePoint integration is what makes Perplexity so valuable because it allows easy uploads from various sources while ensuring data security through NDAs. I am also really impressed with its image generation capabilities. I find the initial setup to be very simple; the interface is super user-friendly and intuitive. Additionally, I love that Perplexity can select the best AI for each task, saving the user from needing multiple licenses and decisions. This feature really makes Perplexity stand out compared to other AI tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Revising images almost never works. Perplexity will create a near perfect image and if you ask it something as simple as removing a specific arrow or changing a specific color it will change the entire graphic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity for research and coding, linking directly to SharePoint sites simplifies searching docs. It solves database size problems, retrieving all relevant info quickly. Perplexity helps with complex coding tasks, like creating VBA scripts for Excel, saving hours in manual work. Its image generation and data security are unmatched.

Intuitive UI, Great for Market Research

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Perplexity for my organization work and it really stands out to me. I think it has the best UI of all the available options, which makes it very user-friendly. The answers I get are really good, which helps me in my market research and finance tasks, including trading in stock markets. The Perplexity browser, referred to as the Comet agentic browser, is incredibly helpful for me. It saves me a lot of time by facilitating research and assisting me in making informed decisions, which is crucial in my line of work. Additionally, the initial setup was a piece of cake, super easy to get started with.
What do you dislike about the product?
So, basically, in Perplexity Finance, I was looking for the watch list, so there's no watch list in that, which I can create multiple watch lists. And, sometimes the search doesn't work that well. But yeah, basically that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity for market research and finance purposes, like stock market analysis on TradingView. It saves me time and helps me take informed decisions by applying indicators and offering deep research capabilities.

Perplexity: Essential for Strategic Research

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Perplexity because it helps me with research at work. When I have to start a new strategic project, I launch a prompt and it informs me about the entire topic. It captures all the relevant sources and helps me create an initial mental structure. I also value the number of sources it visits in 'think longer' mode, so I no longer have to spend hours informing myself on my own. Additionally, Perplexity finds all the sources for me and makes a synthesis, allowing me to delve into the areas that interest me the most by following the suggested links. Another positive aspect is how simple the initial setup was.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when using Perplexity to gather news, it struggles a bit more and might miss capturing some. Also, I feel that for idea generation and brainstorming it might not be the best tool, as it is not very creative and is too literal, strictly based on the sources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity for research in strategic projects; it helps me gather multiple sources and structure projects quickly. The tool suggests relevant links, which saves time on research and facilitates the synthesis of information.

Clear, Conversational Search That Makes Comparing Options Easy

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s good at searching and clearly shows me what it’s searching about. I can also have a dialogue about the search, which makes it easier to refine what I’m looking for. It’s also good at showing me comparisons when I need to weigh different options. I use this more than Google Search now when I am researching.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it “thinks” of things I didn’t ask about. For example, it will show me the budget version or local versions even when I haven’t requested that. At times I simply want to know what the best option is, and I don’t care about local versions or budget alternatives. I think it should pause before starting the search and ask me about my criteria. It does this occasionally, but it should happen more consistently and be easier to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used this to compare alternatives and research what’s important to consider. I put together an RFI for a new product we needed, and it helped me define and refine the questions to include in the RFI. It would have taken me a long time to create something this comprehensive on my own. After that, I took the answers from the RFI and used it to compare the responses, giving me a clear list of where the solutions aligned, as well as what was good and what was bad.

Perplexity is a huge time saver for me, when researching problems that I come across in the workplace, Perplexity is my go to method.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint is that there is sometimes hallucinations, this is primarily due to Reddit threads containing mis-information which gets picked up. However, the fact that you get the sources listed for where the information is picked up from means I can manually verify at the source always
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in IT and it helps resolve issues that we come across at a much faster rate, this means that I have more time for focusing on improvements to systems rather than troubleshooting issues.

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Perplexity's ability to search and index multiple pages. It's quite interesting how it consolidates information from various Internet sources into a summary. This means I don't have to visit multiple pages, which a lot of other programs don't offer. They often just provide a list of pages, but Perplexity brings summarized information right back to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think pricing is slightly on the higher side. That's something could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity to find answers to questions by pulling up sources and providing a consolidated summary, so I don't have to visit multiple pages.

I like Perplexity for the different models and partners it offers, which provide more quality content. It's helpful for finding good quality and open needed research through the vendors they have, rather than random hallucination. I work deeply in technical stuff and need facts rather than words, so Perplexity helps by giving me actual data and facts. The initial setup was very easy, like zero easy on a scale of 1 to 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think image generation can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity to find good quality research through their vendors, which is more helpful than random results. It provides me with the actual data I need for technical work.

Fast, Low-Friction Search That Turns Vague Questions into Sourced Overviews

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Search-first mindset. It’s really good at turning a vague question into a clean, sourced overview without making you dig through ten tabs.

Fast sense-making. It summarizes the state of the world on a topic instead of just explaining a concept in the abstract.

Low friction. Ask a question, get an answer with links—no prompt gymnastics required.

Good for verification. When you already have a hunch and want to confirm it, Perplexity shines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Surface-level confidence. Sometimes it gives a very clean, authoritative answer that’s technically sourced… but still a bit shallow or missing nuance. It can feel “correct but incomplete.”

Citation ≠ truth. The presence of sources can create a false sense of certainty. If the sources are mid, outdated, or all echoing the same assumption, the answer inherits that bias.

Weak at synthesis. It’s great at finding info, less great at thinking with it. Complex tradeoffs, original framing, or creative leaps aren’t its strong suit.

Over-summarization. It sometimes smooths things so much that disagreements, uncertainty, or minority views disappear.

Prompt rigidity. Compared to more conversational assistants, it can feel a bit stiff—you ask, it answers, end of story.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Perplexity is basically trying to fix a very specific, very modern pain: “I just want a straight answer, and I want to trust it.”
