What do you like best about the product?

I usually turn to perplexity when I want to access recent information or when I have to compare multiple resources quickly. What I like the most is that we can actually see the resources it actually used to give us the desired information which makes further research a lot easier.

What do you dislike about the product?

The downside to it is that I feel it relies too heavily on small number of resources, so usually I prefer checking resources on my own before making any major decisions. Also the free preview limit reaches very quickly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps me to save time spent onto various websites. Instead of opening 10 browser tabs, I can get summarized overview with links to the original resources. As a CS student this is useful especially when researching frameworks as I can quickly understand the topic and then deep dive into the references that matter.

The problem that perplexity solving is dealing with AI for unknown things. If i am new to something I can ask perplexity and it explains the thing very accurately.

It’s best AI tool for research because it provides reliable sources and data. For in-depth research and writing research papers, I always prefer Perplexity since it gives me detailed, trustworthy information and clearly cites its sources. Overall, it’s one of the most useful tools for research.

I dislike that I can’t use this tool to write polished emails, presentation content, or creative writing. Presentation content needs in-depth research, and while I can research with this AI tool, I still can’t get good, well-written content for presentations, emails, or LinkedIn social media posts.

I’m using the basic free plan, and it works well for my day-to-day, normal searches.

To access the advanced features, I have to purchase an upgraded plan. Also, I can’t attach multiple files at the same time, which makes the process less convenient.

I believe that if you are not attentive to the model you want to use, the system that automatically assigns one to you is usually not very accurate. That's why you have to pay close attention and choose the model you want to use yourself.
