Fast, Minimal UI & Strong reasoning —But depth of the Answers Could Go Deeper

  • May 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The first thing I noticed was the very clean, minimal UI. The integration of Google and bunch of other options during login/signup, makes the onboarding process quick and easy.

When it comes to performance, it was very fast at reading files (DOCX, PDF, etc.), which I found really helpful—especially compared to other AIs that take their own sweet time to review or respond.

The pricing also feels well thought out. The free tier offers generous access to the main features, and the paid plans are reasonably priced and genuinely useful.

Coming onto the most important part, the AI intelligence which is top-notch. Its understanding of complex tasks, and its ability to simplify things and guide the user is outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about is it's depth of the answers, it's explaining things from the top only, doesn't dig much.

The second thing i don't like is and deep research option is only offered with paid plans
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Perplexity is working towards solving the analysis and research problem, most AI's don't work on this, but perplexity's aim is to establish an intelligence which is very good and researching and analyzing things mainly current scenarios

Revolutionized My Research with Source Transparency

  • May 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Perplexity primarily for quick, source-backed research, which fits into my workflow as a replacement for traditional search engines. I appreciate how it gives direct, cited answers, eliminating the frustration of unreliable information and saving me hours of research time. What I like most is the source transparency; every answer comes with clickable citations, so I can trust or fact-check the information instantly. I also love the follow-up search feature, which lets me refine my questions without starting over, almost like having a research assistant. The clean, distraction-free interface keeps me focused on answers, not ads or SEO clutter. The initial setup was effortless, just signing up with Google or email, and there was no learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Perplexity can be too verbose, giving long answers when a short, direct one would do. I'd love a 'concise mode' toggle. The mobile app, while clean, occasionally feels slower to load search results compared to the web version. Also, for highly niche or very recent local topics, it sometimes misses the mark where a standard Google search would get it instantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity for quick, source-backed research, avoiding information overload, with direct, cited answers. It eliminates unreliable info, making verification easy, and saves research time by synthesizing data into clear answers, all while providing a distraction-free, trust-building interface.

Perplexity Delivers Direct Results with Authentic source for Deep Research

  • May 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Perplexity is most helpful with its result as it provide direct result with authentic sources.
It had great advantage in the research which helps student and professionals with its deep research ai intelligence.
What do you dislike about the product?
It gives least performance with creative works and complex tasks as it can hallucinate on multi step tasks.
Other drawback is that it is heavily dependent on the web searches , it collects all the top results from google which may not be correct all time.
Ui/ux is graet but lacks in personalization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving problem of inefficient search result and information overload.
Earlier we have to manually read complete content of the multiple webpages then pick up some of the sources but it resolves this problem.
Another integrations of perplexity is in its paid version which is comet, a desktop app which has complete access to browser. It can book tickets, solves leetcode problems, can read mail, search more effectively without human suppport. Pro version also has suitable pricing.

Daily Research Workflow

  • May 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It efficiently combines search and AI-generated responses. Instead of going through multiple links, it gives a structured answer with sources attached, which makes it easier to verify information quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I’d like to see improved in Perplexity AI is deeper consistency in highly technical or niche research workflows. While the platform is excellent for fast discovery and summarization, there are moments where the responses can become repetitive across follow-up questions or rely too heavily on similar web sources.
For complex topics, I still find myself manually validating certain claims or opening the original references to ensure accuracy and context. It’s not a major issue, but when working on technical, strategic, or industry-specific research, precision matters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me personally, the biggest benefit has been speed and clarity during research-heavy work. Whether it’s understanding a new technology, preparing for business discussions, comparing market trends, or exploring technical topics, it dramatically reduces the time spent searching and organizing information.

Efficient Research Tool with Robust Verification

  • May 11, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Perplexity very useful for research purposes, as it’s good at verifying written details and reports with proper citation and verified sources from the internet. As an SEO person, I appreciate how Perplexity helps me ensure that the information on the website is accurate by allowing me to upload a document and verify sources and figures in one go. This feature saves me a lot of time. I also like the browser they launched a few months ago, equipped with the 'assist' feature that essentially surfs the web on my behalf with just a prompt. This is super helpful for repetitive browsing tasks like keyword research, finding new article titles, and making content outlines. The initial setup was very easy; just a login with available options and some data saved in its memory to get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
Feature wise it is good, no complaints but it consumes all the limit within just few prompts like for someone like me who want to automate lot's of repeated task it is impossible to use everywhere as there is limit, which i mean to protect their business but they should provide more limits to premium users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity to verify website content quickly. It saves time by checking document sources and figures, providing proper citations without manual searching.

Real-Time Updates, Needs Better Link Sources

  • May 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Perplexity consistently pulls in the newest information online. It’s super helpful whenever I’m writing and need to verify details in real time. It also keeps me up to date with the latest news, which I find better than other tools I use, like OpenAI.

Another big plus is being able to choose between different AI models inside Perplexity. I appreciate that it’s not limited to just one model, because having multiple options gives me more freedom depending on what I’m trying to do. Its deep research capabilities are especially valuable when I’m comparing products before buying something, since it helps me quickly put together a list of prices and websites without much effort.

For everyday questions, it’s easy to use, and it’s also great for editing emails because it helps me draft replies quickly. Overall, these features make it a perfect fit for my needs. Performance has been quite good for me, and it feels very fast. It’s also very cheap compared to other AI tools.

Onboarding was easy and quick as well, and it seems like they’re adding integrations almost every couple of days. There’s always something new, so in general I’m really enjoying it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I ask for something, it doesn’t give me enough information. For example, if I just want to go to a website, in Google I can type something like “Berlin restaurants” and it will list links right away. In Perplexity, it still gives an answer, but sometimes the links aren’t there at all, or the links are missing key results. Other times it does include links, but the sources aren’t the right ones, or they don’t point to the correct pages.

Because of that, it can be really hard to find the information I’m looking for, especially when I mainly need the actual website link. I often end up doing a Google search just to find a company’s site. It’s something very simple: if I’m asking for information about Adidas, it gives me plenty of details, but not the Adidas website. It should be easy to include that link, but Perplexity doesn’t consistently surface the official website or the most important pages that Google shows immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity to get up-to-date information quickly and easily, even more recent than some other AI tools. It helps with writing and editing emails by providing drafts and replies.

Fantastic Model Selection and Spaces—My Go-To AI Tool

  • May 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A good selection of models is available, and the Spaces implementation is fantastic. It’s the perfect go-to AI tool for everyday use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s sometimes hard to tell which model I’m using, and not all models support the same file outputs. Because of that, after a chat I don’t always end up with the export I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s become my go-to tool for drafting emails, proofreading letters, and researching information the company might need.

Best-in-Class Research Assistant with Reliable Sources and Powerful Integrations

  • May 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Perplexity is that it references actual sources. Every answer links back to real, verifiable references, essential for combatting AI hallucinations. Combined with live web search and clean, well-structured responses, it's the most useful AI assistant I've used for research with live sources.

The integrations are a plus as well, with connectors for Google Drive, Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Teams, Jira, Confluence, HubSpot, etc. I rarely need to leave the platform to pull in context from my existing tools . Performance is also relatively strong. Deep Research helps a lot by reading hundreds of sources and synthesises them into a comprehensive report, and benchmark results back this up .

From a pricing and ROI standpoint, the Pro plan punches well above its weight, offering access to multiple frontier AI models like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini etc, under a single subscription at a fraction of what you'd pay separately or via API. And when it comes to onboarding and support, getting started is genuinely frictionless. The interface is intuitive enough that there's virtually no learning curve .
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing I dislike is that the mobile app can feel inconsistent, occasionally slower to load and missing a few features available on desktop, also it can't seem to keep its connection on mobile, requiring a restart to reload content. The conversation memory with the models could also be smarter; it doesn't always retain enough context across sessions, so you sometimes find yourself re-explaining background details you've shared before. On top of that, the context window and reasoning depth don't quite match what you'd get going directly to the base models. It can feel less sharp on complex, nuanced tasks compared to using Claude or GPT natively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to spend a significant chunk of my day trawling through news sites, industry reports, and documents to gather enough background before drafting anything, a process that could easily eat up an hour or more per research task. We struggled with information overload and the inability to quickly verify facts across multiple sources, but now we can get cited research (or a good base) in minutes, which has resulted in faster turnaround.

The change after bringing Perplexity into our workflow has been tangible. Content drafting that once required cross-referencing five or six tabs now happens in a single conversation, with sources attached for credibility checks.
