Helpful software that brings together a lot of different features
What do you like best about the product?
Cloudability makes it easy to find the data you're looking for, whether its adhoc or a recurring report. Thats often the place I go to find interesting trends or need to answer a quick question from an executive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data and reports that are available are mostly directly from the cost and usage report. There isn't a lot of customization of metrics allowed. It would be great to apply additional logic to results to create standard metrics for our use cases. For now, I need to use the api. Bring it out of cloudability, and customize there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've identified growing trends within our spend in the cloud, and allowed us to keep spending under control using this discovery. The savings has opened up our options for investing in other areas this year and beyond.
CloudAbility is best AWS cost saving tool i have used so far.
What do you like best about the product?
1. Strong chargeback/showback capabilities: Tag- and account-based allocation makes it easier to attribute spend to applications and teams, improving accountability and accelerating cost conversations.
2. Flexible reporting and drill-down: The ability to pivot by service, account, region, and time—and drill from a high-level view into specific cost drivers—supports both executive summaries and engineer-level troubleshooting.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Better Kubernetes (EKS) cost attribution and optimization: More accurate split of node/pod costs (including system/daemonset overhead), idle capacity, and actionable recommendations such as cluster autoscaler tuning, bin-packing opportunities, and identifying over-requested CPU/memory at namespace/workload level.
2. Coverage-aware recommendations (RI/SP + discounts): When suggesting rightsizing or shutdown, automatically factor in Savings Plans/Reserved Instances, tiered pricing, and enterprise discounts so the “net savings” reflects what will actually change on the bill (and flags when a change might strand commitments).
3. Anomaly detection with root-cause hints: Stronger proactive alerts that not only detect spikes, but also suggest likely drivers (new tag/app, new account, specific service/API usage, data transfer path) and link directly to the underlying resources and change window.
4. Automation capability: Enable automation capabilities to implement rightsizing recommendations automatically.

Cloudability gives great insight on cost usage. the monthly reports generated through cloudabilaity helps us know which aws asset is costing us majorly and if something ca be done to reduce cost. It helps us know how most the non-prod environment is costing us and how we can optimize the cost over there. the rightsizing reccomendations helps us majorly in reducing monthly aws cost.
All-in-one tool for cost visibility
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of connecting aws accounts to the tool and getting it up and running as well as the comprehensive reporting makes Cloudabiltiy a great cost management tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can tend to be slow at times and frequent outages. Also, a bit of a learning curve to "learn" the names of values and dimensions to really get the most out of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to report granularly on multi-cloud costs and create custom mappings to relate costs how we want it which in turn helps us understand who to contact when costs are not as expected.

Automated, optimized solution for financial decisions based on data. Reliable software of the era.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grant Access issues when multiple users are to be onboarded in the tool at same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data driven decisions are made quicker and life of taking quicker action is viable now a days.

What do you like best about the product?
Nice to use the apptio for the cloud cost management for all cloud platform with clear dashboard n visualization

Nothing as such and looks good from usage
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost management using apptio
Its great tool to see the total cloud cost for your enterpise and do more to that data
What do you like best about the product?
I love the user experience and design of this tool. Additionally, I love the various sub tool, like rightsizing and account group. Its a great way to see the overall spend for your cloud cost and can prepare the reports to see the various dimension to the cost.

May need more detailed documentation about the various tools it has
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us in bringing the cloud cost from various Cloud Service Providers and using various reports to analyze the data and make business decisions based on that.
Apptio for future
What do you like best about the product?
It's cost management and easy integration with public cloud

Nothing as such . May be the user interface but when used regularly might get used to it

As we follow value based Cloud in our organisation, apptio is very useful for getting the cloud cost management report

We can effectively manage the cloud as per the cost. We can get the cost management report easily and manage the cloud environment effective. We have saved lot of money after taking the report
