It's like digital Lego
What do you like best about the product?
It is very intuitive and fun to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some parts are complex, like the privacy settings. But that has more to do with the complexity of the law than with Hubspot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
'Marketing automation' says it all: you automate your online marketing.
Feature rich but not easy to get it right

Lots of different pre made elements with many settings that allow you to build the page you like, almost.
What do you dislike about the product?
The settings are hidden in many different menus. There are responsive behaviors of the elements, but these are hidden from these controls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick and easy editing of our web content.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make carefully check the web site elements provide you in the onbording, especially the responsiveness across devices, computer, tablet and phone, as these most likely cannot be modified from the CMS.

Templates available are very similar, most of them have some limitation to customise.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hubspot CMS allow me to create a website easily and quickly.
I can create tailor made templates following the material available in Hubspot Academy, in a few words everything can be done.
As a UI designer I can also create a System Design from template setup, to guide customers in further updates.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate and use the SEO website scan, emails, and social media scheduling.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't do keyword research. That would be helpful. I'd also like to be able to edit HTML in emails. I would also love to have a content calendar, keyword planning system, and other features that help with managing content outside emails and social.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating emails and social posts. Learning what we can do to improve SEO.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of marketing leads through to closed sales, managing our website and all associated marketing content. We have just started using the Services module and it looks to be a fit with our customer support team.

Sometimes silent updates. Would like to hear more of what is being released as a developer.

Having our own agency website running. CMS Hub comes with a ton of extras live live chat etc.
Very good, but not perfect
What do you like best about the product?
It's a very good tool to give developers the freedom they need to code while at the same time give content creators the ease-of-use of simpler tools like wordpress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a bit hard to find help and tutorials when it comes to the development side. For example, it would be nice to have a simple tutorial to build a page with bootstrap or any other CSS framework, this should be one of the basics.
I would also like a bit more options in HubDB, it's very useful and easy to use for contend creators, but it really lacks more advanced features when building systems that go a bit further than a list of products.

Not having a good tool that would give our developers freedom to code and at the same time give editors an easy-to-use tool to create content.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Since this tool is so marketing-focused, developers will need a bit of patience to find resources and tutorials that go a bit further the the very basics of coding/templating/data bases, but they are out there.

What do you like best about the product?
What HubSpot has done for Inbound marketing is amazing! It's a powerful tool, that helps small companies do more with its sick automation! It has some pretty cool integrations that allow you to integrate with Slack, Salesforce to name a few (there are soooo many).
So to answer your question. How useful is HubSpot? Very!! This also depends on what you'll be using it for. I have mainly used it for it's CRM. It is especially useful for non-technical marketers.

The tutorials in HubSpot academy are a great resource if you find yourself stuck. HubSpot also provides one of the best live chat's I have ever used in terms of response times and actually speaking to a human being. The live chat helps with everything from minor code queries, advice on how to best use a tool, and for those moments you've broken something and don't know how/why.
When it comes to building webpages or emails, the design community is a big help. When the staff on the Live chat can't help, they will direct you here. The HubSpot design community is a community of experienced coders and developers who will help answer questions, and is also a platform where people share their knowledge/tips/tricks.

When migrating the website we ran into a number of issues where modules had been coded so that we could not update them in the future and had to rebuild temporarily while we planned for a new website to be built due to how inflexible the templates were.
The support also wasn't great. We had a short window to feedback with any issues with the migrated site, which with a big global site was nearly impossible to catch all of the issues. When we had passed the deadline we were told numerous times that they could not offer support as a third party had built it.
8 times out of 10 i find that i know more about HubSpot than the team on live chat. You will only speak to a technical person when your query is escalated, which is rarely. To avoid this, always ask for the team to call you rather than using the online chat. I usually always get connected to a technical person.

I work with a team that has little coding experience so it is great for them to put together landing pages and emails that we can be confident won't have any issues.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use, very intuitive. Their support team is incredibly quick to respond if you need help or if you have questions. It's truly a pleasure to work with this tool and the entire HS team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Social Media management feature is not the most advanced out there, but you can still get the job done. I do see continuous improvements made to it so it's good to know that they're listening to suggestions! If you manage a complex social media content calendar you might need to use another tool for support, but I feel like soon we'll be able to manage everything from HS if they keep improving at this rate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now manage CRM, email, social, landing pages, and documents all from the same place. And the best part is that we can now track everything and we have true data that helps us better understand the success rate of our campaigns.

What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot's CMS is intuitively easy to use. After initial setup, creating and editing pages and adding content is simple, and works well in multiple languages. (We currently offer our site in 7 languages.) And tying everything together with navigation, sitemaps and other tools is highly customizable, allowing us to create a site that works smoothly. We are running hundreds of pages on our site and gaining incredible marketing data every day. And the HubSpot Academy and Support options are always responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had very few problems with HubSpot CMS. The only things I might complain about are that there is no mechanism for auto-detecting an incoming visitor's browser language settings and directing them to the proper homepage; and if you work with Salesforce, revenue attribution can be tricky depending on how your invoicing and deals are set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our prior CMS allowed us little to no insight into the performance of our site, our content, or visitors' journey through our marketing and sales funnel. Now, we are able to fully understand performance down to the page level. And we have solved a years-long lead generation problem through the use of HubSpot forms, supplying a regular flow of actionable MQLs into our sales team's hands. Finally, connecting HubSpot to our paid social and paid search campaigns has provided us with the ability to customize and prioritize our marketing channels for success.
