Easy to Use with an Excellent Customer Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The customer experience. It is very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited functionality in a few areas such auditing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega is helping with audit readiness and preparedness. It has given our organization a central repository to house corporate policies.
Clear Security Framework Control Breakdown
What do you like best about the product?
The breakdown of the different controls based on which security framework is being used. Allows answers and evidence from different frameworks to map to new frameworks, CISV8 to SOC2 Type2 with answer and evidence transitioning over.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site is very slow when moving between controls on the same page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing for readiness reviews of different audits such as SOC2 Type2 and / or ISO 27001. It allows to identify gaps in controls before having a 3rd audit performed. Allows for Vendor security questionnaires to be sent out at the same time so a common deadline can be met for review. Allows for security questionnaire to be the same when sent to different vendors, having good control over the list of questions and requirements.
Seamless Compliance and Exceptional Support
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Apptega is to use. Everything is pretty seamless, and the support is really good. They're constantly updating the platform with new things, which I appreciate. I really value the assessment platform because it allows you to go through pretty seamlessly and score assessments and generate reports from those assessments. When it comes to the initial setup, despite a few hiccups, the process was very easy, and there were people who joined the call with us that helped get everything squared away pretty quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that there is still some limited functionality but like I said before, they're constantly improving.

Apptega helps facilitate and administer compliance assessments for our clients.
A Powerful, Intuitive Platform for Managing GRC Programs
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega delivers a clean, intuitive experience that allowed us to quickly stand up our governance, risk, and compliance program. The layout is thoughtfully designed, making navigation straightforward and enabling our teams to take action without a steep learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
As our program evolves, we would love to see an expanded set of integrations to connect more seamlessly with the other tools we rely on. Additional integrations would further enhance the overall efficiency and workflow.

Apptega has streamlined how we perform our IT security assessments and maintain ongoing compliance requirements. It has improved cross-functional collaboration by bringing all stakeholders into a single environment, helping us stay aligned and confidently track progress.
Streamlined Compliance and Cybersecurity Made Effortless with Apptega
What do you like best about the product?
The Apptega platform helps our organizations streamline their ongoing cybersecurity and compliance efforts. It automates and simplifies managing and reporting on these programs, reducing manual work, and allowing teams to more quickly identify and prioritize risks and communicate those to leadership. The ability to manage multiple compliance frameworks like NIST, CMMC, GLBA, etc. and map common controls allows organizations to crosswalk programs and gain a holistic view of compliance status to make strategic and informed decisions.
During compliance assessments and/or security audits, the platform automates evidence collection, reducing the burden on staff, and ensuring that evidence is readily available for audits. Evidence is directly linked to specific controls from NIST 800-171, HIPAA, etc., and can be uploaded to the platform or linked to internal resources like SharePoint. Specific tasks like vulnerability scans or the collection of compliance documentation can be assigned to team members and set up with reminder notifications based on ongoing recurrence or due dates. We are able to eliminate the various spreadsheets we were using before to track compliance programs and tasks.

What do you dislike about the product?
Because of all of the features/functionality that can be utilized within the Apptega platform, determining how to initially configure and deploy the platform can be a bit daunting. However, the Apptega Customer Success Team is very engaged and is dedicated to helping organizations understand how best to implement the tool. They are a great resource and share strategies based on lessons learned from other organizations, so our organizations can start realizing the value of the platform almost immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organizations are utilizing Apptega to manage their compliance and security programs, risk management, third-party oversight and vendor management, as well as document/policy management. Having the ability to access each of these modules in one tool and easily define access roles quickly demonstrates the return on investment with Apptega.

Apptega Is Effective at Improving GRC Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Apptega is the customer success team that it makes available to me. It is very clear to me that Apptega wants my organization to succeed in using all the bells and whistles that the Apptega GRC tool offers. I have regular interactions with the customer success manager that was assigned to me and I know that each time I reach out with a question I will receive a very quick response. I am very impressed with the professionalism and care that Will, my customer success manager has shown over the past year. On a side note, I also like that each year we track and assess my Apptega goals - this means that the Apptega personnel understand my specific needs and we get to prioritize those features - which helps my organization in accomplishing our roadmap.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup requires proper configuration of SSO & Apptega user roles. Once that is accomplished, the tool is very straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization previously struggled to maintain visibility and documentation of key GRC information. However, now that we implemented Apptega we are able to effectively document and track: 1) our security risks; 2) our listing of third-party vendors and carry out assessments; 3) manage ITGC audit work; 4) assess ourselves throughout the year using leading security frameworks; and 5) download and share key reports and dashboards with stakeholders. Overall, the tool has greatly improved our GRC abilities.
Comprehensive GRC Platform with Constantly Evolving Features
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega is a comprehensive GRC platform that consistently introduces new features and functionalities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Accessing the full range of features might necessitate a support session, as administrators within the program are unable to enable everything themselves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega enables us to oversee cybersecurity compliance for our customers all in one centralized platform. As a comprehensive GRC tool, it offers features such as change tracking, policy management, third-party risk management, and a customizable risk register, among many others. My team relies on this product daily, and we are continually impressed by how user-friendly it is. So far, we have not encountered any missing features or functionalities that aren't already planned for future updates, and new features are released both frequently and reliably. I can't even begin to estimate how many hours we've saved since adopting Apptega.
Easy Set-Up and Excellent Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
I use Apptega for assessments, and it has most of the frameworks we need for our clients, which I find easy to use. I really like the ease of use because it's easy to follow along with the assessment and complete the form. The customer service is great, as our account rep meets with us monthly to keep us updated. Setting up new tenants is also straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
there could be some improvement on report formatting
