Helpful tool for collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
Keeps task in front of everyone and helps track progress. We use it to help 100+ employees collaborate on a huge conference. Too many tasks to keep up with, but with Asana it was all managed and helped us pull off a great event.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a job to get familiar using it. Takes too much work on front end and can be tedious. All the new users have trouble getting used to it. It seems like it takes more work to mark a task completed than it does to actually complete the task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration from distance. I have no idea how we would track progress and help everyone stay focused on various tasks required for our conference.
Asana Makes Collaboration Easier
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes project management and collaboration with internal stakeholders easy. Our teams know who is working on what and how far along we are in the work process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like about Asana is that I can't upload video files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working for a multifamily company with over 140 properties across ten states can be daunting. Our Marketing Department is constantly working on projects for not only these properties but the corporate brand and sub-brands as well. Simply put, we're constantly working on a lot of projects. Asana is the perfect project management tool to make sure everything gets done in a timely manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a user-friendly, intuitive, project management tool. Take your time to play around with it. There are tons of tutorials to guide your way.
A great application for a great team organization.
What do you like best about the product?
We manage our projects, from the beginning of a brainstorm until it is completed, Asana lets us plan everything very effectively, with great communication and extrategias, each tool is better than the previous one, has very good features to save a lot of money. weather.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve requires a good understanding and work some time to make the most of it. I would also like you to have a grantt diagram to improve the experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to increase our team performance, we see all the tasks that require our attention in real time, we receive notifications and above all, I love how it synchronizes with other softwares. Asana has given solutions to many problems we had.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The best option for your company and your employees is Asana, the best collaboration softawre with strategies that adapt to you.
Great Resource
What do you like best about the product?
This has really helped our team collaborate and work together. We have 5 people on staff who use this at our small multi-campus church and it's been great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's a little hard to find the projects I'm working on, or I'll get assigned to public projects that are duplicates of things I made personally. Suggesting "is this a duplicate" those things might be nifty, but I can see it being annoying for other users too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating and staying on the same page.
Asana is a great organizational tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to enter and organize tasks among different projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to batch assign tasks within a project. I can go into a project and create a bunch of tasks quickly, but then I have to go through and assign and deadline one by one. OR I can go into a person's profile and assign them a bunch of tasks, but I have to select the project and date for each one. But when I'm sorting out tasks I generally do it through the project page b/c that's how the tasks come to my brain, and then I have to go back and assign people and deadlines, and there are often a lot of the same deadlines and same people, so it would be really efficient to do them in batches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure that complicated projects don't have tasks that get overlooked,. But it also makes it really easy to view multiple team members' progress on a project(s) with just a few clicks instead of having to send emails or check multiple places. The integration with Harvest also makes it really easy to keep track of hours when we have projects with billable hours.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The best way to decide is to just start using it. You can do a lot with a free subscription, so you can get a good feel for whether it works for you or not really quickly.
Best tool for Small Businesses to work collaboratively on projects
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an awesome planning, collaboration, and task management tool. I use it personally and professionally for both big and small projects. I love that I can quickly create a list, organize it, and add team members quickly and easily. It is easy to restructure tasks because we all know plans change. The ability to comment, call out people, and add files makes this a super robust tool for teams. The fact that it is super powerful on the free plan is a big benefit to the small business community.
What do you dislike about the product?
More variety in the celebration emojis. :) Seriously, love those and would like to select my own theme.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small business owner and technology coach to small businesses, I use Asana to manage my own projects and teach small business owners how to use it to manage their projects and contract team members. Planning and following through are essentially to a growing business and believe Asana has made that possible.
Ultimately helpful for a large team or for difficulties in determining task responsibility
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can forward emails to Asana and it will make them into tasks. That's a really helpful way of keeping track of to-do lists. I also like that there are communications threads and ways to comment on tasks and tag coworkers. It's a helpful way to collect tasks into projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally there would be details that I was trying to find within Asana conversations. I would type keywords into the search bar, but as far as I can tell, it didn't search through conversations or comments. Because of this, I'm unable to find comments in threads that are relevant to the task I need to finish. Between having "conversations" and commenting on threads, it can be frustrating to not be able to find conversations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helped with several of our regional offices cooperating and communicating to plan a mega-event. We were able to delegate efficiently, have conversations about the different projects, and be able to tell who was in charge of each event. It definitely made the planning stages much smoother and it was a great step toward everyone being on the same page. It definitely helped establish a significant workflow, allowing everyone to know what their specific responsibilities are, and helping the large conference event we were planning to move smoothly. I loved that it was easy to communicate with other people on my team, but I wish that there was a more streamlined way to go.

This app is incredibly helpful in organizing larger projects!
Robust and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
How robust the platform is. It offers multiple different views to suit different work styles and can be set up many different ways - which makes it work for everyone. Integrations are easy and work well and they have many key ones that add a lot of value. UX has been thoughtfully considered and for the most part, the platform is intuitive and fun to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing levels while logical don't really add all that much value. We wanted to have the active directory integration as part of our's but the jump from premium to enterprise level was 3x the cost with little additional user functionality - this made it a difficult sell to the executive level and the wider team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Internal project management. Project transparency. Team accountability. Stakeholder relations
Being able to see what people are working on has greatly improved the teams communication and level of respect for peoples time - knowing how busy everyone is has been incredibly significant to how our team works together.
Organization has also improved for those team members that at times struggled with time and project management

Excellent Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows me to track my progress along multiple projects at once. There are multiple views depending on how you need to see your workload. And the ability to share your projects with other people/teams is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface can feel a little bit clunky. And adding subtasks its a bit of a strange process, but overall I don't have many complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, mostly. It's been very helpful to be able to easily share my workload with other teams and countries, so just knowledge sharing is the biggest benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Grow with Asana, it will only help you in the long run.
Excellent Software for a 30,000 Foot View!
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to know what my team members are working on. Asana has the fantastic ability to have subtasks with subtasks with subtasks. I can be as detailed as I want, or I can keep it simple. I love the ability to easily mark tasks as complete, change due dates, color coordinate tasks, schedule items... it's just fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the only thing I've found to dislike is also something I like - it's very easy to accidentally delete something. But then, it's easy to delete things when I've made an error. There was a slight learning curve to the initial setup, but I think that's because I was comparing it to other list softwares when it's really more than a list builder. I would also like the ability to change the reminder date for projects instead of it only allowing Friday as an option. Kind of hard to do a big project update when everyone is just working toward the weekend.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Asana for task management on projects and just the day-to-day business needs. We have joint lists for each manager so that we can easily delegate tasks, and keep each other updated as work is completed. The notes and updates on our projects are extremely useful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We did a trial to start, and I think that was the right way to go. We had the time to play around with it, and to convert our current processes into Asana friendly formats. We had to retrain ourselves a bit, but it was well worth the minimal learning curve to find a solution that's really all-in-one for what we're using it for.
