Flexible and Intuitive for Project Management, But Needs Outcome Mapping
What do you like best about the product?
I find Asana to be incredibly useful for project management and project reviews. It offers great flexibility and allows me to set up projects in a manner that suits my needs, which is a huge advantage because I deal with different types of projects. The ability to customize columns in every project provides significant flexibility, accommodating the varied demands of individual projects. Asana is also intuitive to use, making it a breeze to manage a large number of tasks efficiently. The Rules engine is another feature that I appreciate because it automates the setup process for complex projects, allowing me and my team to focus more on execution rather than configuration. The platform's compatibility with Google Suite integrations enhances its utility further, streamlining workflows and facilitating better collaboration across distributed teams. Asana's capability for visibility and transparency empowers seamless collaboration and enables us to follow timelines effectively, ensuring that every team member is aligned and aware of any project deviations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that Asana is not effective in managing outcomes. It works well if you have a project built to its template, but in cases where my workflow is not like that of a tech product, some of it has to be managed outside Asana because it cannot be structured properly within it. Additionally, if I have several separate projects contributing to a single outcome, Asana does not allow me to map their interplay effectively since it is designed to manage projects as separate portfolios. Furthermore, the initial setup of Asana requires quite a bit of time and thought to determine the best way to set up a project for my specific use case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for project management, providing visibility, transparency, and seamless collaboration for distributed teams. It helps templatize workflows, simplifying complex task tracking, and allows customization to suit different project needs.

I love using Asana because it significantly helps in organizing my tasks and projects effectively. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes handling various tasks much easier. I am impressed by its AI features and rules that enhance my efficiency, such as the ability to make completed tasks disappear seamlessly. Asana is robust in terms of options, providing flexibility and adaptability in my workflow. I also appreciate that the initial setup was very simple, allowing me to get started quickly without any hassle. This ease of use and effectiveness inspired me to continue using Asana and implement it when I started at my new job.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't use the phone app a lot, but when I do, it's way too easy to accidentally complete a task by swiping. I wish I could shut that off. The phone app doesn't feel as comfortable as the computer, maybe because I'm scared I am going to accidentally swipe stuff.

What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana's sleek and easy interface; it's not overwhelming and the clean design makes going through tasks much more enjoyable. The design effectively helps keep all my tasks grouped together while only showing me what's due rather than everything at once, preventing an overwhelming workday. I find Asana exceptionally helpful in managing my time, as it gives me proper notices for future tasks I might forget. The initial setup of Asana was very easy, and there was no struggle in adding new team members, which makes the transition smooth. Its capability to help organize and manage my management duties - like to-do lists, weekly and monthly tasks - really stands out as a valuable feature.

Streamlined Our Multi-Project Management Efficiently
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Asana brings clarity to our fast-paced work environment at Bizbox Publishing. With many U.S.-based client projects happening simultaneously, Asana helps us easily identify who is responsible for each task, the associated deadlines, and the progress of each project. The ability to add detailed notes within tasks is particularly valuable as it keeps communication organized and minimizes the need for interrupting teammates for updates. The clean and quick interface is also praiseworthy, making navigation seamless and enabling effective multitasking across different projects. Additionally, I appreciate Asana’s capability to provide visibility across multiple projects. The project views offered by Asana are instrumental in understanding the overall workload and setting priorities, which is crucial when managing numerous deliverables. The reliability of reminders and due-date tracking is another aspect that I find very effective, as it helps our team meet deadlines consistently. Collaborating within tasks is effortless, as attachments, comments, and updates are readily accessible, ensuring nothing gets lost in a sea of messages or emails. This significantly enhances coordination and communication within our busy agency setting. Asana's integration capability with tools like Google Workspace and communication platforms like Slack further streamlines our workflow, ensuring all project details are easily traceable and centrally located.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Asana could improve is in handling very long or complex task threads. At Bizbox Publishing, some client tasks had a lot of back-and-forth details, and it sometimes became hard to quickly find older notes or updates. The notification system can also get overwhelming when multiple people are active on several projects; you have to manually filter what really matters. A more streamlined way to group or prioritize notifications would help. Beyond that, certain views can feel a bit limited when managing a large number of projects at once, and more customization would make tracking work even smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana streamlines task management, improves deadline tracking, and reduces workflow confusion. It centralizes tasks and updates, enhances team coordination, and offers clear project visibility, making multitasking easier while minimizing interruptions.

Effortless Integration and Intuitive Features Make Work so much easier.
What do you like best about the product?
Love how easy it is to use, how it integrates with many of the tools we have and I can usually figure things out pretty quickly. I appreciate the addition of new features and templates that make our lives easier as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that within a project there are only sections and then tasks and subtasks. I wish there was a way to organize things so that I can have multiple projects within a project template. If I have a section, then a task, then I have to do subtasks, I'd like there to be an option where I can have many sections within one section or many projects in one project if that makes sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us stay on trop of projects and tasks on a daily basis.

User-Friendly with Efficient Task Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I find Asana incredibly valuable for managing product teams, planning, and handling daily tasks due to its user-friendly interface, which is a significant improvement over my team's previous experience with Jira. The standout feature for me is the task sharing capability across multiple projects, allowing me to share specific tasks without the need to involve all team members in my project, thus maintaining privacy and focus within different teams. This feature, along with its intuitive usability, significantly enhances our workflow and collaboration without unnecessary complexity. Setting up Asana was also a breeze, making the transition from Jira seamless and ensuring my team could get started with minimal disruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how admin permission works. For example, if I want to fix or add something in a different project, I can't because I need to be added to that project, which is really annoying.

I find Asana's task sharing across multiple projects beneficial as it streamlines collaboration without adding more team members, enhancing project planning and daily task management.
