Great collaboration and tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability of being able to create a personal task list or even projects. I use this for much of my personal life stuff as well as for work and even collaborating with teammates and others.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about Asana. It has been designed really well from the beginning and they are continually making improvements and adding new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to consistently know where a project or task is. If it is on track or even if it is off, how far off we are as well.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can quickly and easily create tasks. Every morning I prioritize these tasks. With ongoing tasks, I write comments so that I remember where I left off.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how difficult it is to set up large projects. Just like any software, if your team isn't fully invested and reliant on the project management tool, it is useless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The only problem I am solving is keeping my thought and tasks organized. Other than that, we have used asana company-wide to accomplish much.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand how to use if before implementing it on a project. Go through tutorials and YouTube videos.
Good Option for Task Tracking and Job Assignment
What do you like best about the product?
The scrum board format, and ability to tag and collaborate. I also like the subtasks option within a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a big fan of the interface. Would also like a task list that would help with tracking smaller tasks, or that lists the subtasks.

Tracking my jobs, and helping prioritize work.

It's easy to track and add colleague to various tasks, and assign tasks to a specific person while also adding followers to the task.
The ability to add many different dashboards makes separating projects from each other very easy.

What do you dislike about the product?
The e-mail notifications of tasks are often unhelpful/unclear, and Asana sometimes becomes a background or after-thought.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to manage all of our projects, which has eliminated the issue of tasks and requests getting lost in emails. The benefits are that all tasks and projects can be found in one place, streamlining our processes greatly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set up projects, users and task naming conventions properly to get the most out of reporting and e-mailing functions

Being able to share tasks among multiple parties, following tasks, being able to track a project.

It is hard to find completed tasks and tasks that I am following, this is something that could definitely be improved.

My team is able to send and assign tasks quickly and keep track of what has been completed.

Great for project management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to plan projects out in great detail and stay organized throughout the process using Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. I like everything about it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving organization issues. I had a hard time organizing all of the details of photoshoots and this has helped to efficiently plan in advance.

If you are in project management or a planning role and looking for a tool to get more organized this is the tool for you.
It's OK But There Is Better Out There
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to learn and get people involved in. Good for cross-team function and planning. Templates are pretty good for beginners to project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's cluttered and over complicated at times. I'm more of a visual person when it comes to seeing data and where people are in a project. When I was using Asana it seems very basic and not as visual as, say, a Monday.com.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was great for trying to get people to participate in a cross-team project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a project management system in a pinch then Asana is for you. They do have a free option that has all the basics and their paid plans can get the job done. But do your research first as to what else is out there.
Perfect for Small businesses
What do you like best about the product?
It's a glorified checklist + place for team members to converse on projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
To start a cohesive conversation with your team you really need to start a conversation instead of conversing within a task/project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving quick communication within our team and assigning projects to other team members.

If you're a small business with employees in many different places this is IDEAL!
Asana Helps Me Organize Nonprofit Projects
What do you like best about the product?
The user-friendliness of Asana enables me to onboard several team members at multiple stages of the projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can be prohibitive in the nonprofit space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Asana to plan fundraisers and projects for multiple nonprofits. Asana is most helpful in event planning, enabling me to connect a team of staff and volunteers for cohesive task and project management.

I like that associates can notify me of needed actions on shared work. I am kept in the loop on projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems to be very repetitive. I get notifications when I don't need to do anything. I feel like I am looking for a needed task, when there is none.

Tasks are not let undone.

Asana can be a very effective tool when used properly. I feel I need more training on use.
