Every org I work in, I convince them to use Asana
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Asana is its impressive balance between power and simplicity. The platform is robust enough to handle complex, cross-functional projects, yet the user experience remains light, modern, and even enjoyable—something that's uncommon in work software.
Several aspects really stand out to me. First, the ease of use: the interface is intuitive and visually clean, allowing new users to become productive quickly. Customization is another highlight; you can adapt workflows, projects, fields, views, automations, and templates to your needs without requiring an admin or outside consultant to set things up.
Asana also offers a deep set of features—tasks, rules, portfolios, forms, goals, dependencies, reporting, and more—without ever feeling overwhelming or bloated. Integrations are straightforward to set up and work reliably, which is especially valuable for coordinating across teams.
One of the strongest points is how the tool encourages daily use by consistently delivering value. It becomes a habit because it helps keep work organized and manageable. The fun, human touches in the UI, like celebrations and a modern design, make the experience more engaging and enjoyable, which in turn boosts consistency and adoption.
Overall, Asana is one of the rare tools that supports serious project execution while remaining approachable and pleasant to use.

What do you dislike about the product?
Asana offers a remarkable level of flexibility, though this same flexibility can introduce a learning curve for teams unfamiliar with structured work management tools. Without setting clear conventions—such as consistent naming standards, project templates, and defined intake workflows—work can easily become somewhat inconsistent between teams.
I do find myself wishing that the reporting and dashboard features were more robust by default, especially when it comes to handling complex, organization-wide metrics. While it is possible to create the necessary reports, it sometimes requires additional configuration or access to higher-tier features.
Nevertheless, the user interface and overall user experience are streamlined enough that the platform rarely feels overwhelming. Additionally, the support resources provided help make the implementation process smoother compared to many other tools in this space.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves the biggest challenge in cross-functional work: alignment without chaos. It creates a single system for planning, tracking, and executing work across teams—without turning into a rigid or overly complex project management platform.
I like how it helps with:
Clear ownership and accountability: tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities are obvious, which reduces follow-up and “who’s doing what?” confusion.
Faster execution and fewer meetings: status updates happen inside the work itself, so we spend less time syncing and more time delivering.
Smooth implementation + scalable usage: onboarding teams is fast because the interface is intuitive and the structure is flexible. Once teams start using it, it becomes part of daily workflow quickly.
AI + smart automation: Asana’s AI and automation features help with niche challenges like summarizing updates, creating tasks from context, and reducing administrative overhead—something other platforms feel weaker at.
Integrations reduce tool-switching: Asana integrates easily with tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Teams, Jira, and more, which keeps workflows connected without friction.

Efficient and User-Friendly, Perfect for Large Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Asana's efficiency and organized structure. Its interface is straightforward, which helps me push for more adoption within my firm and among project members, keeping our projects on track. The initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dynamic Dates and Custom Dates!!! Need to allow task dates to be based on other Tasks, rather than only Project Start/End dates. Allow it in the project view rather than the template only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana improves communication, tracking, and reporting. Its efficiency and organized structure help adoption in my firm, keeping projects on track.
Enhances Collaboration and Task Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really like using Asana for project management with multiple clients. It excels in allowing cross-department engagement and collaboration on complex launches, which can be tough to manage with just email chains and documents. The sub-tasks feature is incredibly helpful for breaking down actions involving multiple stakeholders. Dependencies are great for managing tasks that rely on the completion of previous tasks, and this effectively feeds into the timeline view, allowing us to clearly see risks and impacts of any delays.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really love to use portfolios, but this isn't included in our plan, and we have maxed out our budget already. I have tested out AI rules but there is no way to easily manage them and they seem to stay active even when a project is closed which uses all of our credits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Asana allows for cross-department engagement and collaboration on complex launches, which isn't feasible with just email chains and documents. Subtasks, dependencies, and timeline views help me break down actions and manage task sequences, providing clear visibility on risks and delays.
Effortless Customization and Outstanding Support
What do you like best about the product?
It's really easy to use, you are able to personalise it to suit your business. The customer service is great. Its easy to delegate tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is the size of video content that you can upload is limited. Otherwise, I am happy with the platform, I find it very easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's able to give me everything I need in one place. It's easy for my clients to view everything that they need to without it being spread across different platforms.
Effective Task Tracking with a Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana for its automated rules and task tracking features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the subtask rules and the lack of ability to undo. I find Asana has a steep learning curve.

I use Asana for project management to improve task tracking and accountability. I like the automated rules, which simplify workflows.

Asana can be a pricey tool, but it is well worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Great for Collaboration, But Overwhelming Setup Options
What do you like best about the product?
I like that different departments can work together seamlessly and simultaneously. I like that it can be used as a living and breathing "Source of Truth" for projects that multiple stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me the downside is the vastness of it all. The endless setup options actually spike my anxiety because anyone can set up whichever way they want, and differing naming conventions for tasks etc can lead to confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem was multiple projects living in multiple places, and not having a central "Source of Truth". We are working on making this the definitive place we keep information on projects so anyone involved can check status, etc, whenever they need.
Clarity in Contract Management, Needs Time Management Fix
What do you like best about the product?
I like seeing everything very clearly listed in Asana, especially the dependencies that are within it. It just helps me keep a project going because I can see all the steps very clearly and how they play into each other. The automations that they have are really nice too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't like that in the year in review it said it saved me a bunch of time because sometimes managing it is a lot of time. That felt like a disconnect. Sometimes I'm wondering if it actually does that. I feel like sometimes they tote AI a little bit too much. There's something about humans managing things that's nice too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me keep everything in the contract organized and process steps clearly, making it easier to see dependencies and manage contracts effectively.
Streamlined Project Management with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Asana allows me to see tasks in various visual formats like calendar, list, and timelines, which is great for me. The visibility between shared tasks is another feature I appreciate because it helps keep my deliverables on track and structure my days and projections. My own implementation of Asana was decently smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the subtasks are confusing to me when it's a shared task with someone else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to streamline shared tasks and keep deadlines which helps keep my deliverables on track and structure my days and projections.
