Essential for Efficient Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I find Asana to be a comprehensive solution for our team's needs, serving as a one-stop shop for project management. Its intuitive and easy-to-use interface streamlines our workflow, ensuring that tasks and timelines are well organized. This setup enhances our team's efficiency by keeping us on track and ensuring timely completion of projects. I particularly appreciate how Asana provides clarity and control over our tasks, helping us avoid duplication of effort and maintaining a singular focus for each task. The task management and timeline features are especially valuable, aiding in our goal of project completion without redundancies. I also find the training videos beneficial for easing the transition and familiarization with the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it's a little difficult to find specific projects or documents within Asana. I wish the search tool was easier to use or more intuitive about finding documents that might not be named as specifically as what one might type into the search box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana enhances our project management by keeping everything under control with appropriate timelines, prevents task duplication, provides a repository for past and current projects, and significantly boosts team efficiency, ensuring timely completion of work.
Streamlined Project Management with Excellent Multiuser Features
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Asana for its effective task tracking and commenting capabilities, which significantly enhance my awareness of everything happening within a project. The system's usability for easy communication between team members across different time zones is particularly valuable. It allows us to visualize various work paths more clearly. The ability to send screenshots or pictures of completed tasks and quickly comment on them for iterations simplifies our workflow and fosters more efficient teamwork. Furthermore, I found the initial setup of Asana to be incredibly straightforward, even for team members who had little prior training, which speaks volumes about its user-friendly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging that Asana only allows one person to be the owner of a project. In cases where collaboration is essential, such as when two people are equally responsible for a project, this limitation can be restrictive. It would be beneficial to have the option to assign ownership to multiple users, ideally up to three, to better reflect collaborative efforts and ensure all responsible parties can manage and update the project comprehensively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for project management and KPI tracking, solving timing issues, prioritization, and providing clear project overviews. It facilitates easy team communication across time zones with tracking and commenting features, enhancing project awareness.
Transformative Project Management with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I love the user-friendly interface of Asana and the myriad of tools available to gain customizable viewpoints on project data. The visualization that Asana brings to our projects is amazing. Asana Studio and Team mates are game changers in improving efficiencies and workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Current issues I am facing are assigning project roles when a project is created by a rule, printing tasks and Gannts to PDF, creating rules to assign to a role rather than a person, restrictions with bundles and adding reference fields to forms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows us to report on department status, providing total visibility on tasks across departments, improving efficiency and workflows with its user-friendly interface and customizable project views.
Efficient Task Management with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Asana for managing tasks and creating projects, which significantly drives efficiency in my business. I appreciate how Asana supports both efficiency and collaboration, enabling everyone on my team to easily contribute their input into tasks and projects. The interface is easy to use, which helps with task management, making it simple for everyone to see what work has been completed. Additionally, the task creation and management features are particularly valuable to me as they provide clarity and transparency in our workflow. The initial setup of Asana was straightforward, which made the transition smooth. I also find it beneficial to integrate Asana with Microsoft 365 and Outlook, which enhances my team’s workflow. With all these features, I feel confident giving Asana a recommendation score of 9 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find searching for information in Asana challenging, especially when it comes to older tasks. It's not always easy to locate them, which can disrupt efficiency. It would be beneficial if tasks were listed alphabetically, allowing completed or pending tasks to be organized in this manner to enhance searchability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to enhance efficiency and collaboration in task management and project creation, allowing everyone to contribute and track task completion easily.
Efficient Task Management but UI Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I find Asana to be an excellent project management tool that greatly enhances team collaboration and efficiency. It allows us to create, track, and optimize the workflow of any project with ease. The ability to divide big tasks into smaller, manageable ones is particularly valuable to me, as it helps streamline the process and ensure tasks are completed efficiently. The platform's feature of assigning tasks to specific team members enhances accountability, ensuring that everyone remains on top of their responsibilities. Furthermore, I appreciate the Asana app integrated with Microsoft Teams, as it consolidates all relevant information and notifications into a single platform, making it easier to stay updated. I also found Asana’s instructional system remarkably effective, making the learning process seamless and ensuring a smooth transition for the team when we first started using the tool years ago.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the interface could be more friendly, especially regarding color choices, as it might not be visually appealing to all users. Additionally, the location of some buttons can be confusing, which may disrupt the workflow and add unnecessary complexity to navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to create, track, and optimize project workflows. It helps our team divide big tasks into smaller ones, assigns them efficiently, and ensures accountability. The integration with Microsoft Teams centralizes information and notifications, enhancing team coordination.
Easy Integration, But Task Assignment Limits
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Asana's API is more user-friendly with higher rate limits, which significantly enhances my workflow by allowing the uploading of larger batches of data efficiently. The ease of data replication through Asana due to the integration with my replication vendor is a major advantage. I find the initial setup of Asana to be very easy, which helped me transition to using the software with minimal effort and inconvenience. The ability to use Asana in tandem with other tools like Stitchdata and Airflow for data replication and orchestration seamlessly fits into my work processes, making the entire experience smooth and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Asana does not allow assigning multiple people to tasks, which is a limitation in cases where collaboration from team members across different departments is necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Asana's API user-friendly with higher rate limits, which improves data upload efficiency and resolves our previous API issues. Integration with our replication vendor enhances replication processes, although multiple people assignment to tasks could be improved.
Customizable and Easy to Use, But Needs Task Authorization Feature
What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana to create team projects for each research study across all of my sites, and I truly appreciate its ability to streamline and simplify our project management tasks. The customizable rules feature is particularly beneficial, allowing me to tailor project and template setup according to our specific needs. I find Asana extremely easy to use, which significantly eases the process of monitoring task completion and tracking what still needs to be done. For our new research studies, having a tool like Asana to track timelines and ensure all paperwork is submitted to sponsors promptly has been invaluable. I also appreciate the ability to create separate teams for each site, making it straightforward for company members to access the specific information and templates they need and monitor progress. Setting up rules such that completed tasks automatically change status and have dates populated is superb, as it provides clear visibility on completion timelines. Additionally, the subtasks and due dates functionalities mean tasks can be broken down into manageable chunks, and reminders are in place to ensure deadlines are met. Setting up Asana was also pretty straightforward, and once understood, training others on its use is uncomplicated.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love for there to be an option for someone to 'sign off' on a task. For some of the paperwork and work that we do, we need to have proof that someone has signed off on a task. If Asana could add a feature where when the task is checked off, it would show who signed off on it that would be perfect. The reason this would be useful is because anyone can mark a task as complete and we would never know who. We would just be assuming that the task was checked off by the assignee but really anyone could check off that task. There have been documents and templates that we have wanted to use Asana for but have not been able to because of this reason.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to easily track study progress, set up customizable rules, and notify tasks' assignees. It simplifies tracking and managing timelines and team organization across three sites.
User-Friendly with Versatile Form Options
What do you like best about the product?
It's user-friendly and has a lot of options to add to forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when I'm adding a new task, it disappears from view when I'm typing. I have to go find it to finish the title.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of all experts that teach classes in our company for the public.
Versatile Tools That Keep Me Organized and Productive
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has such a variety of tools that allow me to automate workflows, stay on track with my tasks, and stay organized. The basic tools are easy to use and easy for my team to implement into their work routines. I use it every day and would not know what to do without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
All of its features can seem overwhelming at time and there's a learning curve to using the most advanced features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving the problem of having to keep track of tasks in a planner that I'd have to individually collaborate with my team members about. Asana helps me collaborate with my colleages and automate workflows that save us time and help us keep progressing.
Efficient Workflow Management but Needs User-Friendly Automation
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Asana effectively handles project management and workflow, significantly saving our project managers time and effort in accessing and processing necessary project information. I appreciate the forms feature that allows us to create specific questions and dependencies to gather precise information for different project types. This level of customization helps in optimizing project setup and data collection. I also love the automation capabilities in Asana, which facilitate seamless integration of form inputs into respective projects and aid in efficient workflow management through customizable rules. This automation reduces manual intervention, thereby improving efficiency and productivity. Additionally, the ease with which Asana made the initial setup process is commendable, especially with support from peers experienced with setting up complex rules and forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the rules and automations in Asana to be somewhat problematic and less user-friendly than expected. Recently, a minor change in the wording affected a significant rule, and correcting it didn't resolve the issue. This has led to reverting to manual processes, which is time-intensive. I believe improvements are needed to make these features more intuitive. For instance, the ability to copy rules within the 'otherwise if' process would streamline operations instead of setting up each step from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for project management, saving our PMs time and effort. I love the forms for gathering information and automations that manage workflow efficiently, feeding form projects into their respective projects.
