Asana makes managing multiple projects simple for all teams
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana is very user friendly and can be customized to work for any project management style. Asana also allows for seamless communication between project teams and stockholders with their many features
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s nothing I dislike about asana! Add an instant chat and it would be perfect!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the issues of who is working on what and tethering tasks between teams has been a problem we’ve been able to solve with asana. With timelines and task dependency we can keep projects on time and under budget.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of the video walkthroughs so you have a better understanding of all of the features and how you can customize them!
Great platform to arrange meetings and share files and agendas
What do you like best about the product?
The whole integration is really great. The tasks can be assigned to each individual. Meetings can be scheduled. We can view upcoming meetings on the calendar. We can see the assigned tasks and change their assignment as well, mark them complete or partially complete. It is very good place to keep everything together at one place. For eg if there is an overlapping teams or projects, its a great place to keep them separately without any conflict.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes its bit confusing when taks from different projects are seen together. There should be more well built UI separating the tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly all the meetings, tasks deadlines, agendas are kept on asana. Important data, links are shared using Asana.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have overlapping team structure, its a best tool to organize your work and assign tasks to diffrent teams.
Full of features, but simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Asana can be used in. A variety of different ways. Each user can organize their projects and lists in a way that works for them. They are not confined to rigid frameworks like other software
What do you dislike about the product?
I pay for a premium version, but some interesting, new features require an even high membership price which may be cost prohibitive for many small business users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management has been streamlined, we are working on creating a marketing sales pipeline within Asana as well. Ultimately, I would love for all aspects of our day to day operations maintained in Asana.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The documentation is fantastic. For tips, how-tos and even organizational ideas browse around.
Powerful project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an excellent tool to manage projects both small and large, has a lot of tools and options such as calendar, form, be able to hold conversations, upload files, and many more things that make it an indispensable tool when working as a team and keep the whole team informed about the progress and progress of different projects. It also sends automatic emails to each of the collaborators which allows everyone to be aware of the progress. And on the home screen you have all the tasks to do in a single glance and each of the projects to which these added which greatly facilitates the distribution of activities when the working day begins.
What do you dislike about the product?
In short, it is a complex tool and has a large number of tools, so it has a small learning curve to be able to implement it well as a team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we use asana to manage the different design projects we have with our customers, at first cost us a little time to implement but once exceeded this time became a very powerful tool for the team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To all those people or teams that are looking for a tool to manage projects or tasks, ASANA is the best option, in the free version has a lot of tools to manage tasks and the team, so you can start easily, and as the needs of your company are increasing, asana has a lot of powerful tools in its paid version, which facilitate and streamline much more teamwork.
Favorite project & workflow software I have used!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has been life changing for me, as I’ve attempted to tackle so many projects with countless moving parts. Between the mobile app, and the online desktop version, Asana is extremely easy-to-use, intuitive, and well thought out. The pretty UI doesn’t hurt either! I also love the different views Asana provides.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I absolutely love Asana and am a huge advocate for it, I don’t like how you cannot change “views” (list view / card view) after the project has already been created. Sometimes, it isn’t until managing a project intensively until you realize you’d rather have another view, in which you must create an entire new project. Additionally, it would be nice to have additional task owners, instead of collaborators who may/may not be notified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has allowed me to prioritize to the very best of my ability. It is extremely flexible, and feature-rich. By focusing on solely my tasks I’ve been tracking within this platform, I have found that my workload becomes much more manageable, and allows me to focus on what the most crucial deliverable is that day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the free version out to learn if you like it first! Some workflows can become too complex for Asana to handle — but it’s absolutely worth it if it works for your team!
Great for project management
What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana! This is a great tool for project management. There are different views - calendar (so you can look at a project from start to finish) and a project board (so you can look at individual tasks with details). Each task can be linked to other projects or other tasks. You can even generate sub-tasks assigned to other users with their own full task cards. The software is very intuitive and easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for all our tasks/projects in the organization. Our field reps can easily submit tasks to the administrative pool with relevant documents/photos/etc. This keeps all the task/project information in one location and users associated with the task/project are able to track its progress. Since so many of our staff work remotely, this software is a huge help to keep us all organized and on the same page!
Great way to stay organized
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps our company stay organized. I love that you can copy checklists from one task to another. This has allowed us to replicate our process for each client. I also love how easy it is to assign subtasks to different members of our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
My dislike is minor. I wish there was more customization available in the Asana platform, such as different backgrounds, etc. Again, very minor, but I like to personalize things I use on a daily basis to me/my company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has made it easier for our company to stay organized. Within our company, this has been a difficult process for us, but Asana has certainly streamlined our organization and task management process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is an easy, straightforward way to manage tasks with multiple users. It is a great way to stay organized within your entire organization!
Project Management Essentials
What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows our organization to manage and track interdepartmental project goals in an efficient way. Easy to use and access to live updated documents gives us real-time collaboration across multiple locations.
What do you dislike about the product?
An upgraded subscription is now needed to upload and edit documents and forms. This change has made is difficult to share project documents. I have recently had to submit a proposal request to our finance department to increase funding for this software, which has slowed down current projects being worked on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana we are able to track committee minutes and data, such as our Quality Improvement Committee, which allows us to access real-time numbers that help us improve our direct care.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A must have for companies or individuals who need to be organized and want to track projects among many teams. Begin with upgraded Premium Version for ability to upload, view and access shared documents.
Streamline Your Workflow, Integrate Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Multiple teams can easily coordinate around one task. Also, you can have a dancing unicorn fly across your screen when you complete a task. Who doesn't want a celebratory unicorn multiple times a day?
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that they could better is roll out task-based templates. Right now, only projects can have templates, but we had tasks, like coordinating a mailing, where the mailing was the main task and there were various subtasks. It would have been nice to have a the task and its subtasks in a template. Asana worked really well for us. We had four teams at a non-profit coordinating projects with Asana. It was an amazing tool. We purchased the premium when we got too big for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allowed me to easily manage my workload and ensure nothing slipped through the cracks. It was easy to organize my day, and it really allowed me to tackle those to-dos that always seem to get put off for more enjoyable/easy items. It's easy to track projects where multiple parties are involved and know how they are tracking. It's easy to see history discussion around tasks and manage it right in Asana, no need to email.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start small, with one or two teams and one or two projects, then add others as you get the hang of the product.
Asana is my task management bible!
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use as well as the customization that you can do for your own Asana within you companies shared projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to lock areas of team projects that others can view but are unable to edit to make sure that the layout and order are not messed with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily and project task management are the key uses of Asana for me and my business. We can collaborate on tasks but then have our own views and independent task lists. The benefit of assigning tasks to others, using the chat feature to stay out of emails and keep everything in one place is of great benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is as good as the time you put into it. You have to be diligent in putting the work into tracking and managing your projects and tasks. If you don't consistently enter your details then it'll be an additional step of work that won't make you feel like it's working for you but just more work.
