Clear Task Ownership and Deadlines That Keep Teams Aligned
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Asana is how clearly it helps me see everything I need to do in one place. As a developer working in a startup, I often handle multiple tasks at the same time, and Asana makes it easy to track priorities, deadlines, and progress without feeling lost. I also like that I can break big features into smaller tasks and update the status as I work. The board and list views are both useful depending on how I want to visualize my work, and having discussions directly inside tasks avoids confusion and scattered communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I’ve noticed is that when there are too many tasks and notifications, it can feel slightly overwhelming, especially during busy sprints. It takes some effort to organize projects properly in the beginning, otherwise things can look cluttered. Also, some advanced features like automation and detailed reporting are limited unless you upgrade, which can be a drawback for smaller teams or startups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve the problem of managing multiple tasks and keeping track of progress across different projects. Before using it, it was easy to forget small tasks or lose context when everything was discussed in chats. With Asana, I can clearly see what I’m responsible for, what’s pending, and what’s completed. It helps me stay organized, manage my workload better, and avoid missing deadlines. It also improves team coordination because everyone knows the current status of tasks without needing constant follow-ups. Overall, it has made my daily workflow more structured and reduced a lot of mental overhead.
Streamlining Project Coordination
What do you like best about the product?
It allows to easily see assigned task with deadline and dependencies. this helped me when I was doing integration project that involved multiple teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Don't have build in integration to track the code PR similar to azure DevOps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It benefits me by clearly showing my assigned tasks, deadlines, and priorities, which helps me plan my work efficiently and avoid missing deliverables. It also improves collaboration, since I can communicate with team members directly on tasks, share updates, and track progress without relying on emails or separate follow-ups.
Overall it's improves transparency.
Great for Team Collaboration, Needs Better Calendar Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to collaborate with team members and see the status of all projects at the same time using Asana. It captures all the work that I need to do in one place, which makes managing projects more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Calendaring is weak in Asana, along with the inability to have portfolio fields connect with task fields. Not being able to have subtasks show in the calendar field is frustrating because certain tasks are lost when looking in the calendar view. With workflow, being able to input the data once at the portfolio details section should then port into the necessary project task fields if we prefer because it would be beneficial not having to set additional rules on individual projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for project management to capture all my tasks in one place and collaborate with team members, viewing project statuses simultaneously.
Cross-functional collaboration has improved and project tracking is now streamlined
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Asana is project tracking.
Whenever we are assigned new projects, we enter the project information in Asana, which lists the different team members on the project team. We can share and exchange information as well as track progress of all deliverables for the project.
What is most valuable?
The best features Asana offers include project tracking, communication between project teams, workflow automation, reports and dashboards, and cross-functional coordination.
The feature that has made the biggest difference for my team is the cross-functional coordination because it allows communication between the internal team as well as the external teams that are involved in the projects.
Asana has positively impacted my organization through the coordination between all of the different players on different projects, and the tracking and assignments are very streamlined.
Coordination and tracking have become streamlined because everything is instantaneous, which is always beneficial in a project.
What needs improvement?
Asana can be improved by continuing to stay current and evolve with technology as technology evolves.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Asana for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Asana's scalability is strong because it works with tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Workspace, Outlook, Jira, Salesforce, and Power BI, which makes it scalable because it functions with all these different platforms and tools.
How are customer service and support?
I have never had to use customer support.
What was our ROI?
I do not have visibility regarding return on investment; I am an end user.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to others looking into using Asana is that it is flexible and it has strong collaboration tools, and I would encourage them to take advantage of those tools.
My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

Easy Team Progress Tracking With Helpful Timelines and Due-Date Reminders
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is to track progress across teams. You can instantly see what’s done, what’s stuck, and what needs attention. The timeline and due-date reminders also help me stay on schedule without having to constantly follow up.

The notification system can get noisy if it isn’t configured properly. When that happens, it’s easy to miss important updates because they get buried among less relevant alerts.
