Asana is a great way to organize tasks for completing projects- or just simply keeping a checklist for things to-do
What do you dislike about the product?

I have spent the time to learn all of the functions of Asana and I am finding that there are many benefits to using it, mostly organization

Great project management tool, meets my needs, but has some kinks

  • June 05, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This is a great tool for small teams and for organizing work across multiple teams. Calendar views of a project are really helpful. UI is pretty good (best I've seen), but has some areas that could be better. Assigning, commenting, and following projects/tasks is really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the project templates feel a little stiff. For example, I'd like to change some of the fields for "Content Channel" in my Editorial Calendar project, but there are preset values that I'm not allowed to change. Another feature I wish existed is when you copy a project where all tasks have been completed, the new project should automatically uncheck all of the tasks. I have to go in and uncheck every task for that copied project, which can get annoying and time-consuming, especially for a big project that has LOTS of tasks and subtasks. Switching between List and Board views are not enabled, so you have to build a project with one view in mind and stick to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing my day-to-day and sharing with leadership what is going on at a high level in marketing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pretty good tool to stay organized for small, medium-sized teams. I think it'll meet your needs. My "dislikes" are nit-picky things only. Have a good idea of how you want to organize work from the get-go. Things can get pretty messy in there if there are a lot of people that use the tool differently. It can get more confusing if not managed well.

One of the most efficient project management tools for SMEs

What do you like best about the product?
1.I find the various options available for organizing projects very helpful. You get to choose between a list view or board view depending on the project you are working on.
2.I like the flexibility of Asana, you can customize according to the your project needs. It supports both personal projects as well as group projects
3.Asana is highly compatible with a lot of devices which makes it accessible to most smart devices.
4. Asana is very easy to use, no specialised training required.
What do you dislike about the product?
1.Although the monthly charge for an Asana premium account is fairly economical, the free version has limited functionality. I believe one of the most significant aspects of Asana is the ability to monitor real-time progress of a project and this is only available in premium.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has significantly contributed to organization in the project team and increase in productivity. It minimizes the chance of skipping a task. With Asana, one is able to assign tasks to team members and mark them complete once done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are running small to medium sized projects and need a project management software, Asana will meet your needs. You will find a lot of helpful tools to asssist manage your tasks and projects as a whole.

An amazing tool to track work

  • June 05, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a reliable service, full of tools for the management of task boards, and for the management of progression percentages. We are quite satisfied with our experience of using Asana. The Asana platform offers many data control options. For example, it allows you to manage service accounts and allows you to create and delete backup copies. Asana also has a very customizable dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
With Asana you cannot handle error tracking entries, nor automate workflows properly (you can not even edit them graphically). Does not offer spreadsheet view for worksheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me to efficiently organize the workflow of our entire team, making it easy to manage all projects and tasks. The platform allows all members of the group to communicate comfortably among themselves. Asana provides easy ways for organizing our projects into share projects. The most interesting thing is the way Asana let us comment on tasks; this way we can communicate our team members in efficient ways. Project conversations make Asana more interesting and collaborative tool. It has become my favorite tool for project management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keeping team organized on team level/cross-functional small projects and admin work.Extremely simple. New staff members jump on it and engage immediately.

Great product with a very robust free version

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of Asana is the flexibility with project management. Everyone manages differently, and there are different views and methods to accommodate different management styles.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are task conversation threads and project conversation threads; however, I wish there was a straightforward chat feature that appeared clearly on the left side of the interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With many projects requiring collaborative work, we use Asana's task and subtask features to keep everyone on the same page. It makes organizing complex tasks much simpler.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give the free version a test run. I don't think you will be dissatisfied. We've loved the changes in helped make with our organization.

Asana is a good tool for project management

  • June 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like to use Asana when I am doing a big project with collaboration, especially remote colabs. It's easy to use and almost everybody has it now. I would say Asana is also a great platform for communications. It helps with communicating teams for the project and task management. I would say it is a superb product in all ways. If I talk about the importance of this tool, I would say it is one of the popular project management software available in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Exactly how useful the platform depends quite a lot on the PM. Some PMs will leverage more value out of it than others. This has to do with just how deep the interface runs. Not every aspect of the UI is inherently intuitive. There are still functions, I'm sure, that I'm unaware of or not utilizing fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is one of the few threads that consistently keep all of these projects consistently moving in the right direction. In summary, it's a VERY useful tool, especially in the right hands. It makes organization and coordination of projects - of any size - so much easier. I've used it fairly extensively as a member of my client's team, on multiple projects, and it can help to leverage productivity out of situations that might otherwise stall the project out for three or four times as long.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's easy to use and manage projects at a granular level. Being able to assign due dates to projects and tasks makes it easy to keep the project moving forward.

Great for developer teams

  • June 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Asana primarily to run our website and platform development sprint cycles. Love that tasks are drag-and-drop + it's easy to share to stakeholders as well as assign them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recently Asana added kanban boards (which trello was great for) - only dislike is that there's a team member capacity on the free tier (but that's expected)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for general team task management. Better than trello (more customization available)

Good Basic Project and Task Management, Lacking in some advanced features

  • June 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, intuitive, task management. Easy to learn. Expansive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Piecemeal architecture, features added in a fashion that sometimes diminishes the intended use. Needs a general refresh/rebuild.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily task lists, small to medium projects, timeline and cooperative tasking. Accountability for tasks and tasks within projects.

Easy to use with tight integrations

  • June 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana's integration with my time management tool works fantastically and seamlessly. I never even think about the process, because it just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they supported mobile on the web client, but that's about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to receive tasks from my PM and keep track of my estimated and actual hours working on a project. Not having to worry about time tracking, and having clear communication with my coworkers, lets me focus on getting the work done well.

One of the best task management tools

  • May 31, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that you can create tasks and organize them as easy as making using a simple todo list app on your phone. You type your task and can drag them and make dependencies too that way. The design is pleasing to the eye and, for a visual person like me, helps layout all projects in an organized fashion. See everything across your team in a holistic view. Create dependencies and track progress with assignments, timestamps, and updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not a whole lot. At this point, I can't think of any improvements outside of maybe a color picker to assign colors outside of the standard options they currently provide.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is a beautiful and flexible tool for managing your project and for team collaboration. The tool provides a very simple and easy to use GUI that provides you with quick buttons for all the common things you would need, such as creating a new project or task, assigning users, notifications, scheduling, permissions, watchers, etc. I am pretty impressed as all these options are available right on the main window in a very intuitive manner, as opposed to a bunch of buttons being cluttered in one area or options buried within menu trees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Asana app is a great tool when working on a group project. It's simple to assign people to a task. The task reminders and due date help you manage and stay on top of what needs to get done.
