Asana: Essential for Staying Organized and Productive
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a game-changer. As a development professional at a small non-profit, I can't imagine how we would stay on top of all of the moving pieces without Asana. Before my email, it is my go-to in the morning to see what I need to do that day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't experience many downsides to using Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that Asana solves is that it allows our team to collaborate across departments, and it benefits us to have it because it keeps us incredibly organized and well-connected to each other.
Effortless Automation and Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the automations and project crossovers in Asana as they reduce repetitive tasks and assignments when projects reach certain stages. I also found the initial setup to be easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would greatly help our team if we could have more than one team member assigned to a task (rather than duplicating or adding them as a collaborator).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves lack of visibility in remote teams, unorganized calendars, and helps with multi-step projects. I like its automations that reduce repetitive tasks at certain project stages.

Streamlined Team Collaboration with Intuitive Views
What do you like best about the product?
I like all the different view options in Asana. You can look at it in a calendar view if you need or just a general list. I also appreciate that you can set a range for the due date. And I like the user interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like pretty much everything!

My Asana Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Managing and tracking projects is easy with this tool. The clear organization of tasks makes it simple to keep everything in order, and having all work centralized in one place is very convenient. It really helps me stay organized and on schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain features are not very intuitive, making it difficult to quickly navigate through large projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps all tasks in one place, making collaboration easier.
Comprehensive Project Management, Needs Better Planning Tools
What do you like best about the product?
I like the automations in Asana and how everything I need to track my projects is in one single place. We use it mostly for requests intake using forms with links, which are created as tasks inside of a project. All the team gets emails and alerts of this new intake. Asana gives high-level control for a manager and granular control for each project owner, providing a solution for different levels of the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that Asana lacks tools for the planning phase. For example, a simple Gantt chart that I could create in the project plan would be useful. It would be great if it could transform automatically into a project after it's approved and becomes a full-blown project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for managing projects with automations and centralized tracking. It simplifies request intake and provides control at different levels—high-level management for me and detailed control for project owners.
Optimizes Team Workflow and Organization Effortlessly
What do you like best about the product?
Even though we are a small team it allows us to optimize our effort by organizing our work, particularly our recurring accounting & marketing.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like to add a few more users that would be infrequent users, but it is cost prohibitive for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have hundreds of recurring tasks - Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual that it helps us organize and stay on top of.
Organizational Powerhouse with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana because it gives me the ability to see all of my projects and tasks in one place, which keeps me more organized. It also makes prioritizing my day and week more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the ability to be able to drag and drop subtasks that are under tasks. I wish there were more templates with more fields. I wish there was more design capabilities to make it feel more like our brand like Trello has with project and portfolio headers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana creates a spot for the whole company to see resource allocation and tasks, enhancing the understanding of company operations. I like seeing all my projects and tasks together, keeping me organized and making my day and week prioritization more efficient.
Excellent Organizational Features and Workflow Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the organizational features, filters, scheduling tasks and building workflows. It's a helpful program to have our departments working out of and to visualize the task work and time commitments associated with those projects/tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of Asana is not being able to control a consistent number of seats under a domain partner. If we don't want all users on a domain to be automatically paired to our licenses. It becomes difficult to manage expenses when users are auto added and auto billed for without our consent to upgrade to that seat level. It would be helpful if we could make some users guests and not a licensed user on the same domain. Not each role will use asana equally so this is the perceived downside and opportunity for improvement we see. Another downside was the sales of Asana led us to believe that we could view each employee/users capacity and realized this was only available to enterprise users which we did feel was not helpful to us. We wished we would have access to that at our level, just under Enterprise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy managing of tasks and who owns what for a project. This is very helpful
Excellent Organization Features
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is how it keeps all my tasks and projects organized in one place. I appreciate the clarity it provides on deadlines, priorities, and responsibilities, which helps me stay on track and manage my workload efficiently. I also like the collaboration features, since it makes communicating and coordinating with team members much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I find challenging about Asana is that it can sometimes feel overwhelming when there are a large number of tasks or projects, making it harder to quickly find what’s most important. Additionally, some features, like advanced reporting or automation, can be a bit complex to set up, which may require extra time or guidance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve the problem of keeping track of tasks, projects, and team collaboration in one centralized platform. It reduces confusion about responsibilities, deadlines, and project status by providing clear visibility into what needs to be done, who is responsible, and when it’s due. This benefits me by saving time, improving organization, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. It also makes communication with team members more efficient, since updates and progress are tracked directly in the platform rather than scattered across emails or chat.
