Easy to Implement, Even Easier to Use

  • March 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm enjoying the ease of implementation and use
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't used Asana enough yet to determine what I dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was looking for a solution to track portfolios, programs, and projects within our department. We literally just got started today, so I can’t speak to the benefits yet. That said, so far it’s been easy to implement and straightforward to use.

Intuitive and Customizable Project Management Tool

  • March 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Asana very user-friendly and intuitive with a nice graphical user interface. I also like the ability to adapt it to our needs with customized fields. This flexibility helps us add fields that aren't already in Asana, like tracking resources for a particular project or the specific program a project belongs to. It's a very good program.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only area I can think of where it could improve is to maybe add little pop-ups. That you can see a brief explanation or summary of what a particular field is being used for. When you hover over perhaps the dependencies field or if you click on a little question mark, on the collaborator section, where it gives you an explanation of what a collaborator is, for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us track project status, implementation, successes, roadblocks, and resource allocation within network operations projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting and automation features feel a bit basic when handling larger or more complex projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me keep all my project tasks, deadlines, and team updates organized in a single dashboard. It saves time on day-to-day coordination and makes it easy to track progress without having to constantly follow up with everyone.

Makes Task Management Fun and Effective

  • March 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Asana's unicorn that appears when you complete a task and the friendly interface. The free training available is also a plus. I've used other products in the past, but Asana stands out among them and comes to mind whenever I enter a new work environment. The initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that if you don't know how to use Asana it could pose a challenge at first and seem imposing as any new tool could, but once you start using it it becomes second nature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me manage tasks effectively, preventing the feeling of being overloaded and lost in planning.

Versatile Tool with Learning Curve Challenges

  • March 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've really appreciated the upgrade in Asana that allowed us to use portfolios. It's made us more organized and ensures that things are in the right places. We've also been using the dual homing feature a lot, which has been incredibly useful for cross-functional work between teams. And the forms! We've been using the forms with the option to have multiple branches off of forms when asking certain questions, which has been really useful. Specifically for portfolios, they're great for organizing and maintaining all account management tasks across different product levels.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be useful if there was a better AI version of asking questions within Asana that gives you actionable answers instead of attaching to an article or something. We use HubSpot a lot, and HubSpot has a great AI tool that if you ask it a question, it tells you exactly how to do the thing you're trying to do. And that's become really useful in HubSpot. And I think Asana could use that. One thing I would say is that with Asana forms, I haven't figured out a way to be able to add photos and then have those photos become a part of the task. Maybe that's user error, but the Jotform has been much easier, and the presentation of the form if we're using it externally, has been better for Jotform. Also, most of our team is not very well versed in Asana. I've taken on the role of learning Asana as much as I can, and that's been a lot of trial and error. It is a bit of a rough start, and there's definitely different levels and learning gaps currently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to ensure my team reaches out to accounts correctly and within time frames. It helps us cross-functionally coordinate marketing and operations, ensuring everyone is on the same page for onboarding new employees.

Structured Project Tracking with Smooth Setup and Dependable Support

  • March 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Task boards, the timeline view, and custom fields make project tracking feel very structured, and the integrations with different apps help keep everything connected. Setup was straightforward for our team, and the platform runs smoothly for daily use. The reminders are genuinely useful, and support has been dependable when we’ve needed it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app’s features feel a bit limited compared to the desktop version, especially when I’m trying to manage detailed project views or adjust more advanced settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps our travel website team manage booking tasks, marketing campaigns, and partner coordination in one place, which makes it much easier to track deadlines and responsibilities. It keeps everyone aligned, so customer requests are handled smoothly and we don’t miss important updates.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps to organize my tasks, track project progress, and work with team members. Its interface is simple and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback of Asana is that new users might find the many features a bit overwhelming at first. It can take some time to get used to the interface and workflow options.

User-Friendly with Room for Improvement

  • March 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana has an easy to use user interface. I also appreciate the note feature and the ability to store links, which adds to the great UI. The initial setup was really easy as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the inability to automatically assign tasks. I am a single user, so having to assign them to myself seems silly. I also don't like that I have to have 2 seats for one person. It would be good to have a built-in CRM that connects to email properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me keep my tasks managed across different marketing clients with its easy-to-use interface, note feature, and ability to store links. It has a great UI.

Streamlined Task Management, Needs Better Deadline Alerts

  • March 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana for work to set projects and tasks for staff members and monitor their progress using the Asana time tracker. I like that it makes it easy to create projects and set individual tasks, meaning we can track progress without missing crucial information and deadlines. I appreciate the overview feature, where I can see staff members' assigned tasks, helping me determine who can take on new tasks and who might need assistance. Transitioning from email communication, which was time-consuming and easy to miss details, to Asana has been beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting deadlines is difficult. Staff can often miss these, and I wish there was a feature to send a reminder to the person who created the task or project so they can follow up with the assignee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to set projects and tasks for staff, and monitor progress easily. It helps me track progress and avoid missing crucial information and deadlines. Before Asana, we relied on emails, which was time-consuming and prone to overlooking key details.
