Asana is my favorite project management tool I have ever used

  • November 12, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The organizational abilities are great in that I can get as macro or micro as I need. I love the recent updates, being able to go between list and board views is nice. But my favorite new feature is loading CSV files to create a project. The calendar function is very helpful for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Loading files onto tasks and projects is very clunky and not intuitive. The Asana add on for gmail is also clunky. Adding information within emails should be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing projects with tasks and production calendars. Using templates for projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is great for project management. It looks great and is very easy to upload CSV into a project.

Great for keeping track of tasks that need to be shared in the office world. Can make great collaboration on projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't do a great job reminding me where I am at or behind
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None

Easy & Robust

What do you like best about the product?
I love the collaborative features that are built in, even within the free version.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get a little complicated with how deep subtasks can get. It also would be nice to receive email notifications for Individual tasks that come due.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management. Team collaboration.

Incredibly seamless software for assigning tasks for a large team

  • November 11, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
I think that the way Asana integrates with slack and email is the most important component.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think that the app is as easy to use as the website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem that is solved for me is that I can see what my team has accomplished each day. No more bugging them for status updates! No more confusion about who is doing what!

Incredibly Customizable

What do you like best about the product?
Love that you can create draggable cards - can basically create a sprint board for projects. Tasks can be added to multiple projects and it's easy to create a new task and assign it to someone.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think without a clear team structure, it can be easy to get lost in the program or not be aware of the full extent of possibility in the program. I still feel like I need to do some additional research to really begin utilizing this tool to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides an all-up view of project progress (tasks and milestones). Forms also provide an easy way to track bugs and assign resolution to a particular team member.

Tracking with Asana

  • November 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Asana to track our quarter end work flow. I like that we can see the whole teams work load for the quarter, and interact on the site as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we only use Asana to track workflow right now, there is not much that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow taking is our main use for Asana

Love the task view!

  • November 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Love being able to prioritize what's due today, and see a bird's eye view of what's coming. Commenting and tagging others is so helpful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the parent tasks -> trickle down causes things to get a bit lost in translation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving issues with deadlines/due dates and communication regarding specific task needs. The benefit has been more tasks occurring on-time, with greater communication about specific questions or needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I love the deadlines, ability to copy task link to share in Slack with specific questions, ability to tag in team members, and the ease of keeping track of tasks that are received, in progress, awaiting review, or completed.

Asana has made my life so much easier

  • November 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I constantly have 3-7 projects going at once. Asana allows me to create the projects, tasks and teams that I need to keep track of everything in one place. I've even started adding some personal tasks just so that I know when I log in to Asana in the morning, I can see everything that's expected of me for that day, the coming week, month etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I dislike (and it may just be a feature that I haven't found yet) is that I can't schedule a specific time to do a task, only the day. It would be helpful to be able to set up times as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to have different notebooks and calendars for projects which was okay until I forgot to look at one notebook. Asana allows me to put all my projects and tasks into one dashboard and see everything at one glance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd say you have to at least try this. It's pretty easy to use and it works great for us. We have a small team of three currently but multiple clients and we manage everything easily.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana keeps my team organized. The platform is easy to use and is a great way for my team and I to share notes, updates, and other assets around specific projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints! Just like any tool or platform, it takes some time to get use to. Otherwise, Asana is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to operate more efficiently as a marketing team since using Asana.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When getting started, think about how you want to structure your projects within the platform. This will set guidelines for being consistent going forward.

Very lucky to be that person

What do you like best about the product?
Asana (/əˈsɑːnə/) is a web and mobile application designed to help teams organize, track, and manage their work. Forrester, Inc. reports that “Asana simplifies team-based work management.”

I love that asana company has to offer for us citizens
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing really because i love it all and thanks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Naturally, some tasks and projects are more important than others. That’s where having a well-defined set of goals and an idea of how your work ladders up to them comes into play. Your shorter-term goals provide a firm foundation for longer-term goals, such as a product roadmap or release. Having a clear vision for what tasks align with company- or department-wide goals helps keep everyone on the same page and empowers individual team members to make decisions that impact the big picture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Leverage your team’s strengths when assigning work
No two employees are alike. Each person has different experiences, strengths, and weaknesses that make them a valued member of your team. Similarly, different people enjoy doing different work. For instance, one person on your team may enjoy conducting and organizing research into a report, while a different teammate would rather chew glass than compile research findings.
