Robust Features but Needs Better Usability

  • March 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana is so robust in how we can use it. The ability to have many different options for each project is a big help, especially since we track over 300 projects across the company. Each project is different and needs different things, and Asana's flexibility allows us to cater to these needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like Asana to be more user-friendly. It's not a simple program to use. It takes a long time to learn, and even when you do, we still don't use it to the fullest because we just don't know how. The initial setup was hard and took a lot of time. More one-on-one training or an account rep would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to track over 300 projects, keeping everything organized. Its robustness lets us customize how we manage different projects, fitting our varied needs and making it valuable for project tracking, community tracking, and budget approvals.

Essential for Cross-Functional Coordination, Automates Seamlessly

  • March 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the automations in Asana a lot; I think that's the thing I like most. These automations help when completing tasks by notifying people, sending emails, and pulling information from other systems, like Outlook or others we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the AI situation about credits is very limited, which is frustrating. Also, Asana feels expensive, and that's why we aren't creating more accounts, just using a few.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to streamline communication between stakeholders and operations, and I love the automations that notify people, send emails, and integrate with systems like Outlook.

Essential for Remote Team Collaboration

  • March 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find multi-homing projects to multiple boards very helpful for managing multiple work teams across our fully remote setup. The templates and dynamic fields ensure consistent formatting, and the high-level dashboards are great for providing visibility into progress. These features allow our team to collaborate across multiple projects simultaneously, with each domain expert owning their workflow. The team dashboard helps us track project and goal progress at a high level, which is incredibly useful to share with leadership. We've connected our Asana instance with Claude Desktop, which has unlocked a lot of productivity for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires team training and enablement to work effectively. Not intuitive for everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for coordinating projects with multiple team members, keeping on top of deadlines, and monitoring bandwidth. It's helpful for managing multiple work teams across a remote setup and provides visibility into progress with dashboards.

Asana Brings Clear Visibility and Organization Across Tasks and Projects

  • March 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is the visibility it gives across tasks and projects. It makes it easy to see what needs to be done, who owns each task, and what the priorities are. That helps keep work organized, improves follow-up, and reduces the need to track everything through emails or separate notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Asana is how heavily it depends on everyone keeping tasks up to date. If the team isn’t consistent, information becomes outdated quickly and the tool loses a lot of its value. On top of that, getting everything set up in a clear, efficient way can take time at the start, especially when you’re trying to build more detailed workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve the problem of scattered work and unclear ownership. Instead of tracking action items through emails, chats, or separate notes, we can keep tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities in one place. This gives better visibility into progress, makes follow-up easier, and helps ensure that important items do not get missed. The main benefit has been better organization, clearer accountability, and smoother coordination across ongoing work.

What do you dislike about the product?
What I didn’t like was that, at first, it was a bit difficult to understand how it worked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
to keep all my projects organized and have more detailed view of the task and activities

It helps me quickly create processes and procedures for clients and does a great job at reminding me when tasks are do so nothing falls through the cracks.

Excellent Portfolio-to-Subtask Hierarchy for Clear Project Tracking

  • March 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hierarchy of portfolios to projects to sections to tasks to subtasks. Can break things down as well as find their origin.
What do you dislike about the product?
Receiving a morning email that I have tasks. I know I have tasks. I check it first thing. But it always emails me 15 min before I start thinking about work and it is annoying. I am sure there is, or should be, a setting to adjust this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task visibility. I am the only Business Development within our Marketing department, so the work I do is quite unlike my colleagues and it helps everyone from asking "so what does she do???". I also add all of my results into Asana so that they are in a standardized location.
