Asana - The Task Headache Reliever
What do you like best about the product?
It is hands down the most amazing task collaboration tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The subtask feature doesn't alert on deadlines or if you are the task owner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My Manager and I use Asana to collaborate on Task Management, Projects, Workflow Management, Work Management, as well as OKR.

- simplicity, it's so simple and do the job correct.
- notification system - when i get a notification from Asana, the notification contains all the required details for getting the context.

The intuitive interface and robust task-management features are standout qualities. Asana’s ability to break down projects into tasks and subtasks with clear deadlines keeps everyone aligned. The timeline view and dependency features help us visualize workflows, while integrations with tools like Slack and Google Drive streamline our processes. The mobile app is also a huge plus for on-the-go updates.

While Asana is incredibly powerful, the learning curve for new users can be steep, especially when exploring advanced features like custom fields or automation. Occasionally, the sheer number of options can feel overwhelming, but this is a minor trade-off for the flexibility it offers.

Asana has been instrumental in eliminating communication gaps and missed deadlines for our team. By centralizing tasks, deadlines, and file sharing in one platform, it solves the problem of disjointed workflows across tools like email and spreadsheets. The ability to assign tasks with clear owners and due dates ensures accountability, while real-time updates reduce the need for constant check-in meetings. This has saved us hours per week and improved project transparency.

What do you like best about the product?
The clean and intuitive interface was a decisive factor in choosing Asana. We initially used another project management tool, but it was too complex for the non-technical members of our management team. Asana’s simplicity allowed everyone—regardless of technical background—to quickly understand and use it effectively. Features like task hierarchies, timeline view, and automation make it easy to stay organized and improve team collaboration. Seamless integration with tools like Slack and Google Drive is also a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Asana is ideal for general task and project management, it lacks some advanced features such as detailed resource allocation or more customizable reporting dashboards that some other platforms provide. The mobile app experience is not as smooth as the desktop version, and certain automation or advanced permissions are only available in the higher-tier plans. These limitations may affect larger or more complex organizations seeking in-depth project analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our management team initially relied on Excel spreadsheets for project and schedule tracking. However, the spreadsheets quickly became difficult to read and manage, and no one was motivated to use them. After trying several alternatives, we discovered Asana. Its simple and user-friendly interface made it easy for the entire team to adopt. Asana has greatly improved our internal workflow visibility and has become an essential tool for managing project timelines and responsibilities efficiently.

It is helpful since we can see all the changes being made live, which ensures that everyone is always aware of what is happening.
Implementation and integration were smooth, and my team has not had any issues. We use Asana daily, and to date, we have had no problems with customer support.

What do you dislike about the product?
The downside is that I wish there were more personalization options. However, I am still new to Asana, and there is a possibility that I can further improve my approach to using it and explore additional personalization tools.

You can create different teams and different boards within the teams. It 's great for cross-team collaboration

I wish there was a better note-taking system

As a designer, I can track the progress of the tickets being developed. I can also leave comments and check which ones need QA testing or approval for deployment.

The customizable workflows which automate tasks, generate weekly/monthly summaries make the PMOs life easier, and the integrations with tools like Microsoft Teams and Outlook make collaboration seamless. The visual project timelines and boards providing clear overview of ongoing work on project and portfolio level, but also the alignment to our teams and companies goals in the strategy map is great. Asana truly empowers teams to stay focused, meet deadlines, and achieve goals with clarity and confidence.

Great scalability
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an excellent organizational tool for my needs. It can scale with larger companies, but is still perfectly usable for my team of 30. It's intuitive for new users, but offers a high level of customizability for long-time users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Increasing accessibility for automation to new users would help encourage its use among new users.

Asana has been key in helping our team streamline our daily tasks.
A Project Management Dreamscape
What do you like best about the product?
It's aesthetically pleasing, but also extremely user-friendly and functional in the most practical of ways. The flair makes it fun, but the workflow technology and ability to multi-home, customize, and report makes it an essential software product for any organization. A new-hire template was used and provided to me in order to facilitate my onboarding, and it was the best orientation experience I've ever had at a new job. I have continued to learn and fall more in love with the product ever since! Any time I have a question, the Asana team members are quick to help, whether via customer support or the Asana forum. The skill badges offered in Asana Academy are intuitive, informative, and supremely helpful for getting the most out of this platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I create and configure a template on behalf of a colleague, I continue to receive notifications about their changes - I wish there were a way to create a project for someone and then remove yourself. Knowing Asana, there is most likely a way to do this (as they've thought of just about everything!) but I just have not figured it out yet!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We serve partners on a year-long contract, so being able to launch a new project from a pre-saved template when they onboard to guide us through the entire year (with one click!) is amazing. It's also supreme for onboarding new hires internally. As a start-up, we collaborate heavily, so the multi-homing is a must. It's also helpful to utilize the Workload view to see who needs things removed from their plate and who may have a little space for a special project. Most importantly, it just ensures nothing that needs doing falls through the cracks.
Straight forward and easy for team to jump right in.

Easy for team to transition to - easy and straight forward with minimal to no training needed.

Not able to automatically move dependent tasks if main task due date changes.

Identifying tasks that are pending, holding team accountable by having visbility to tasks. Also identifying workload for team members and adjusting work load accordingly
