Great collaboration tool

Collaboration amongst team members; speed to filing

Easy to use and self explanatory, makes it easy to navigate

It "kicks" you out while you are working and need to log in back again

Its helping with the audit work and having all the files in one place which is very beneficial.

XBRL reporting and SEC reporting
Workiva Simplifies Filing
What do you like best about the product?
Allows multiple teams to collaborate on the same documents and filings at the same time. Also, impressed by the implementation of EDGAR Next. The reference materials provided and the webcasts were key to our transition going as well as it did.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the editing features were more aligned with editing in Word. For example, if you are uploading an existing Word Exhibit document, you need to reformat it. The Workiva formatting panel/tools are burdensome compared to Word. Also, the margins (1" in Word is not 1" in Workiva) are not exactly the same in Workiva leading to different page breaks which causes issues if you have a Table of Contents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company has been using Workiva for quite a few years now. As a user of both the Reporting and Section 16 Modules, I don't think there is a specific problem they are helping us to solve but the product surely improves our productivity and process.

The functionality and automation and have had no issues with integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to note yet. Prior to performing all of these steps within Workiva, we were manually performing all steps.

Automation and organization
Easy to Learn. Incredible Time Saver!
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has save me a lot of time. I am responsible for updating a PowerPoint report which in the past I had to manually reference and pull the data in from several reports. This process would take a few hours. With WORKIVA we're able to directly link the data in the PPT file to the reports and it updates in seconds. The software is intuitive and quick and easy to learn. The exporting of files out of WORKIVA is easy and I experience very few, if any, formatting issues. It has been a great tool for me in my job.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the PowerPoint interface in WORKIVA had more of the editing/formatting features found in the actual PowerPoint software. I also wish it had a easy reveiw/routing feature for non-WORKIVA stakeholders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves time management during busy periods when hours are stretched thin by automatically populating reports and allowing several people to review and edit simultaneously.
Intuitive Financial Reporting with Stellar XBRL Support
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the resources Workiva provides, especially for XBRL help, which makes me feel confident in our financial reporting. Its ease of use is another highlight since it looks and feels like Microsoft Word, which is familiar and makes the transition smooth for users. The linking feature is also a big plus because it helps keep all the numbers accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The graphs and charts could be more versatile. I wish there were more types available.

Workiva boosts my confidence in XBRL reviews and eases financial reporting with its Microsoft Word-like interface. Its linking feature ensures numerical accuracy.

1. Higher cost

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Make the complex SEC Reporting much easier.
Helpful but clunky vs. online versions of Google sheets and Excel
What do you like best about the product?
Colaborative nature and the linking of data, dates, titles, etc. Once you have a master file makes it much easier to keep track of everything
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality differs vs. excel and Google sheets. Additionally, with images the software can be slow.

Having numbers, titles, dates synced up across files.
