Full Control and Flexible Capital Markets Support with Workiva
What do you like best about the product?
There are a number of things I really like about Workiva. First and foremost is that you have full control over your document. You can work on your own time without having to wait for a printer to make changes. With Capital Markets services, you can choose whether you want to control the process from start to finish or if you want Workiva to lead the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing has been gone up a non-significant amount in recent years so it has become a more premium option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Workiva, I was using the method where you mark up a document and send it to a printer then they make the changes and then send it back to you for review. With Workiva, you can eliminate a number of steps and I can make the changes on my own to my liking. This saves considerable amount of time.
Streamlined SEC Filings, Exceptional Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like Workiva's linking and collaborative functions. The linking functions help reduce potential errors by ensuring last-minute changes are updated automatically, while the collaborative features allow us to see who is in the document and what changes are made. I also appreciated that the initial setup was easy, thanks to the help from the Workiva consultant, which allowed us to handle things on our own afterwards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The security code. Sometimes, I am still working in the document, and then it kicked me out to ask for another security code. Reduce the frequency of the security code and it shouldn't ask for the security code when people are still working in the document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva allows us to file our SEC filings ourselves without third-party help. The linking functions reduce error from last-minute changes, and the collaborative features let us see who is in the document and what changes are made.
Intuitive Features For Power Users and Beginners
What do you like best about the product?
Features are intuitive. I don't waste time struggling to format tables. As a long time user, it was easy to implement when I transitioned to my role with a new company. There are a lot of helpful self-serve for customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although I do not currently use all of the tools and features at my disposal, there is nothing that I dislike about Workiva.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi-user collaboration, ease of document rollforward, audit trail of document changes and ease of document review / editing.
Efficient Document Management with Room for Learning
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva is easy to use, and there's a lot of functionality in it. I find the linking feature the most valuable because I just have to put a value in one spot, and it will show everywhere I need it to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there could be better teaching/learning opportunities. I think there is so much that Workiva can do but there are no opportunities to learn about those. Additionally, being able to click to copy and paste would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva keeps all of the documents in one place, making tie-outs easier. I find it easy to use with a lot of functionality. The linking feature is most valuable because I just enter a value once and it appears everywhere needed.
Easy Linking Between Tabs and Files with SEC Direct Integration
What do you like best about the product?
Linking between tabs/files. File with SEC direct
What do you dislike about the product?
Large sheets were laggy. Some functionality cold be improved/ Excel integrated. Should be able to keep same formatting if copying form an Excel sheet

Direct file with SEC. Continuity between financial reporting notes/ linking/ and board reporting
Workiva Links and Refreshes Seamlessly When You Need It
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva can link to support and refresh when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva doesn’t show who made changes to a specific section of a Word document, which makes it difficult to track edits and understand who updated what.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple people can work on the same document at the same time and leave comments.
User-Friendly Collaboration and Reliable Linking for Better Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is very user-friendly and a great tool for cross-collaboration. Multiple users can review and make updates in the system at the same time, which has really helped us improve our reporting process over the past few years. The linking functionality is also excellent, as it gives us confidence that the right data points stay consistent throughout the document. We recently implemented a process for business owners to go into the Workiva document and make the updates themselves and as these are business leaders who are sometimes reluctant to try new technology, we found that each person was able to complete their tasks timely, efficiently, and without any roadblocks. We also utilize Workiva for XBRL services and the representatives we work with are incredibly helpful, communicative, and timely in their responses whenever we have had any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't found any real downsides to Workiva. We find it very efficient to use, and we haven’t run into any major issues that have prevented us from doing what we need to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva has helped us address our version control issues. Because we work with multiple internal and external stakeholders who need to review and make updates to our reporting documents, we’ve been able to bring everyone into Workiva so the work happens directly within the document. Previously, we ended up with multiple offline versions of the same file, which was difficult to track and sometimes left us unsure whether we were working from the most up-to-date version.

Very user friendly and easy to navigate within the platform
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike. It would be nice to continue to learn additional functionalities that it has.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Less manual data input to our filings
Works as Expected, but the Sales Pitches Are a Turnoff
What do you like best about the product?
It is the platform our Internal Auditors chose to utilize.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "sales pitches" they send. Otherwise, it seems to work as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was a platform chosen by our Internal Audit team. They would be best suited to answer this question.

we have reporting data that we are storing in workiva, it has made it easier totrack everything in one place
