I didn't know I had a CSM assigned to me until I transitioned to a new one.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to link data, text, and graphs across multiple documents means updating a single source updates all connected reports, eliminating manual errors and "version control" nightmares.
What do you dislike about the product?
New users often find the platform unintuitive, requiring significant time and training to master.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrates data from ERP systems, spreadsheets, and other sources to ensure a "single source of truth," preventing manual errors and inconsistencies in reports.
Easy 10-K Preparation and Filing While Keeping Control Processes in One System
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to prepare and file the 10-K, while still keeping our control processes within the same system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The linking system can be difficult to navigate when I’m trying to link the 10K to specific sections in other files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The simplicity in preparing and submitting the 10Ks/ 10Qs
A Must-Have for SEC Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I use Workiva for SEC Reporting because it simplifies the process of preparing SEC filings by creating efficiencies in collaborating, data accuracy, and version control. I value most the ability to link values through my SEC documents to a centralized worksheet for quick and consistent updating and tie out. It speeds up the process of rolling forward documents, allowing us to quickly and easily populate prior period values stored in the centralized worksheet and add current period numbers to the centralized worksheet, pushing those values to various locations in our SEC document. Additionally, we can create dynamic text values that adjust and update throughout the document based on current period values, like increases vs decreases. The initial setup of Workiva was pretty easy thanks to my prior experience, so I find it straightforward to navigate. I would give Workiva a 10/10 and consider it a must-have for SEC reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a whole document AI review, for example, AI doing an entire read of the document and offering suggestions for improved language to better conform language to industry standards and call out areas of potential concerns that might require additional attention.

I use Workiva to simplify SEC filings by improving collaboration, data accuracy, and version control. It speeds up rolling forward documents and allows quick updates through a centralized worksheet, enhancing efficiency in preparing reports with dynamic text values.
Effortless Controls Management with Excellent Support
What do you like best about the product?
I find Workiva easy to use. The support from Workiva has been great; they typically respond to a ticket within a few hours. I also like the search functions within Workiva, which makes it easy to find a control. The initial setup for Workiva was good, and they have a dedicated implementation team that assists you with building your Workiva environment. You can utilize this team to custom tailor your Workiva workspace and build reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the AI feature was a little bit more fleshed out, but time will tell with that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva allows us to create a control library, and its search functions make it easy to find a control.
Best in Class for Real-Time Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Workiva for its ability to facilitate real-time collaboration on SEC reporting documents. This feature allows us to spend less time organizing and responding to comments from multiple reviewers, as we're able to focus on the live document and see all comments from all reviewers at once. This functionality is particularly valuable, making the whole process more efficient. Also, having switched from Donnelly, I've found Workiva to be best in class with better functionality in terms of live collaboration. The initial setup was pretty easy as well.

I use Workiva for SEC reporting and certifications, allowing real-time collaboration on documents. This reduces time spent on organizing and responding to comments, as we can focus on the live document and see all comments from multiple reviewers simultaneously.
Seamless Reporting with Intuitive Workiva
What do you like best about the product?
I love Workiva's intuitive interface which resembles Excel, making the transition seamless for business users, especially accountants who prefer having complete control of the report generation process. The ease of building jobs through low-code, user-friendly methods is fantastic. I really appreciate the historical records and version control down to the cell level, which aids significantly in audits by providing clear updates on who modified what and when, ensuring full ownership and accountability. This leads to improved quality and control, with auditors being quicker to approve.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far Workiva has been good. Regarding the AI features, it seems to have a smaller context window than the regular ChatGPT enterprise, for which users sometimes have to switch between Workiva and ChatGPT when working with very large documents. Some improvement may help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva automates report preparation, reduces manual intervention and human error, speeds up report creation, and improves controls and audit compliance.
Create Links Makes Cross-File Updates Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
The create links feature, which enables common changes across all filed by changing an underlying linked database
What do you dislike about the product?
It lags compared to MS suite, such as the excel and word files in Workiva
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Financial reporting consistency across multiple linked financials. It saves time by allowing to reuse already created templates to print financials multiple times
Efficient Financial Reporting, But Lags Persist
What do you like best about the product?
I find Workiva's milestone and linking features very helpful. They save me time and help me keep track of all changes in financial reporting. The platform's ability to publish changes into multiple files with just one update is incredibly useful. I also appreciate how it keeps track of all data in Excel or Word formats, which simplifies my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lags a lot, the comparison feature is not that great, Excel downloads bring cell referencing errors. Since it's a cloud-based platform, its speed depends on the server and internet connection, and it becomes noticeably slow at times. The comparison feature does not capture granularity. For cell referencing, if there are any random cells being linked while downloading, rather than showing reference error, download value as is.

Workiva provides an end-to-end financial reporting platform that saves time by tracking changes and allowing updates with linked files, streamlining the preparation and review process.
Comprehensive Platform with Seamless External Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very comprehensive and integrates well with external features
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be substantial, and endless articles that link to other articles are an ineffective way to learn to utilize the platform

The ESG function is very useful for sustainability reporting and report creation broadly
