Effortless SEC Reporting with Reliable Features
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva is easy to use and reliable. The tool's audit trails and document management functions are great, allowing me to document each individual change and see who made it. Communicating changes is really simple. I find it easy for XBRL tagging, and I wouldn't be able to tag XBRL without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging when it comes to resolving XBRL validation warnings. Sometimes there's not enough context provided, which makes it harder for me to understand and resolve the issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva for filing SEC documents, and it's indispensable for XBRL tagging. It simplifies document management and tracks changes effectively, making communication easy.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Workiva is how intuitive and connected the platform is. It makes managing complex reporting and compliance work much more efficient by keeping data, documents, and workflows in one place. As a user, I value the real‑time collaboration and transparency—it reduces errors, version control issues, and manual work. From a customer perspective, Workiva also stands out for its reliability, strong support, and continuous improvements that are clearly informed by user feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Workiva is that some treasury‑specific setups and configurations can feel complex and time‑consuming, especially during initial implementation or when making changes. Certain workflows require a learning curve, and advanced functionality may not always be intuitive without additional training or support. While the platform is powerful, there are moments where tasks feel more manual than expected, particularly when integrating with upstream treasury systems or making last‑minute updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is solving the challenges of managing complex, high‑risk treasury reporting in a fragmented environment. It replaces spreadsheets, disconnected systems, and manual controls with a single platform that links data, documentation, and approvals. This benefits me by improving accuracy, strengthening audit trails, and reducing manual rework—especially for debt, liquidity, and risk‑related reporting. The real‑time collaboration and data linking also give me greater confidence in our treasury disclosures and internal reports, even under tight deadlines or changing requirements.
Easy Collaboration Anywhere with Real-Time Editing
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, multiple people can work on the file at the same time, can access from anywhere (with the internet).

It's a pain to get help in your specific file

Version control, autosave, and the ability to comment and work in the same document facilitates WFH environment.

on live editing, there is no function to showcase the hidden formatting symbol like a local WORD file

Intuitive, Time-Saving with Browser-Specific Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Workiva's intuitive system, which makes it easy to navigate and use. I appreciate the ability to link data and roll cycles efficiently. The system allows me to easily adjust and change our reports, which saves time and ensures reliability and consistency in our external and internal reporting processes, like the form 10K/10Q and Flash P&L.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though the linking feature is a standout aspect of Workiva, it doesn't function well unless you're using Chrome, which is a bit of a drawback. This is particularly inconvenient when you're doing a lot of copy-paste linking. I would also be interested in seeing how AI could assist in building out reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva integrates our GL to our reporting needs, saving time and creating reliability and consistency. Its intuitive system and data linking feature help easily adjust reports.
Useful Dashboard, But Missing Core Internal Audit Features
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard and project management capabilities are useful and help keep everything organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s missing capabilities you’d normally expect in an internal audit database, such as annual risk assessment, audit planning, a status tracker, and automated reporting and delivery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m building customized processes to cover gaps, such as risk assessments. I’m also adding AI to improve audit efficiency, quality, and speed.
User-Friendly Workiva with Helpful Support and Proactive Updates
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is very user friendly, easy to learn the functionalities. Workiva Support is very helpful when I have questions and need to resolve issues for filing. The manager we have is also very helpful and consistently keeps us up to date on new functionalities and features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think some of the menus when you right click can be easier to use, like 'Remove Links' can be moved into the main menu instead of embedded under Link options. Also, when we delete text, it moves the comment to the beginning of that section so you don't know the original source.

Helps with our quarterly and annual SEC reporting.

For me its easy to track down when there are multiple of items, it gives option to sign which provides ownership as well.
Streamlined Financial Reporting and Collaboration with Workiva
What do you like best about the product?
I like the integrated workspace and the ability to collaborate within Workiva, which has streamlined our processes and made our business more efficient. We can have all the reviewers collaborate and look at the report at the same time, instead of sending out Word documents via PDF for every review. This change has significantly reduced the need for creating PDFs repeatedly, saving us time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the task management system could possibly be more improved. Currently, we use a timing memo or production calendar outside of Workiva that we circulate to stay on top of due dates and deliverables.

I like the integrated workspace and collaboration features, which streamline processes and make us more efficient. We no longer need to create PDFs for every review, saving time and effort.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how everything in Workiva can be updated in real time with all the teammates at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workbook could be more functional if it mirrored the functionality of Excel.
