Streamlines SOX Updates with User-Friendly Interface
What do you like best about the product?
I find Workiva user-friendly and appreciate the single sign-on feature because users don't have to remember passwords. The reminder tracking is also helpful since it sends reminders so deadlines are met. Additionally, links embedded within the task email are convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps share updates on SOX controls, supports multiple users across departments, sends reminders to meet deadlines, and is user-friendly with single sign-on, which means users don't have to remember passwords. Task emails have embedded links for convenience.
Daily Reminder Emails Keep Document Collection on Track
What do you like best about the product?
I love how I receive a reminder email everyday while I wait for others to produce the required documents before I can complete my end.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any downsides - it's a requirement.

Gathering our SOX requirements and managing all in one place.

They recently implemented the new filing process which is easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration across teams, linking of filings to underlying spreadsheet, ease of XBRL tagging and overall filing
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a dislike but it would be nice to have a functionality built in by section that lists the relevant guidance/disclosures to consider. Also would be nice for it to operate more like a sharepoint doc where people can see who made the track changes and just have a live doc vs having to create a review version because it makes it hard for reviewers to see other changes happening on the doc between versions + who made a previous change.

See benefits above! Not having workiva would make any of those significantly more difficult
Great for Task Organization and Tracking, Though Not Always Consistent

Organization and tracking of tasks, it's a great way to share tasks

Sometimes the requests are filled and the feedback from the auditors show that attachments or comments may fall off

Easy SEC Filings and Smooth Collaboration with Workiva

Ease of use for preparation and filing of SEC documents; ability to collaborate via tags

Our instance is not connected to our ERP, so there is still a manual component for preparation. This is a hurdle on our side, not Workiva.

Streamlines Reporting with Impressive Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I use Workiva for financial reporting and monthly board reporting. I really appreciate the ability for multiple people to work in the same document at once, and the power of linking amounts in multiple areas. I like the linking feature, especially the fact that you can input the amount in one place, and it can update the entire document, saving me a bunch of time and greatly reducing the chances of missing an update. The initial setup is a bit time-consuming because you need to set up all the schedules and linking, but once everything is set up, there isn't much maintenance needed in future periods.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer service used to be better. I feel like there are times where it is a little hard to get in touch with someone as quickly as it used to be.

Workiva allows multiple users to work on the same document and link amounts across sections, saving time and reducing update errors.
Shared Authorship Shines, but Tracking UX Needs Improvement

User experience for tracking comments is not easily linked

Streamlines Collaborative Workflows, Needs Pivot Table Support
What do you like best about the product?
I like Workiva for its ability to create a collaborative workflow, allowing me to work with multiple people simultaneously, which is a big improvement over Microsoft Excel where only one person can work at a time. I also appreciate the roll forward feature, which lets us roll forward each month of our data, using the same spreadsheets for subsequent months like February, making it easier to refresh the data and change the months. This functionality is really cool. Additionally, I think the initial setup was pretty smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be cool to add pivot tables to Workiva. That's something that is lacking that Microsoft Excel has and Workiva doesn't. It's one thing that keeps us from moving to Workiva completely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva to work with multiple people at the same time, creating a collaborative workflow that Microsoft Excel doesn't offer.
