Ease of Use, Effective for GRC, Needs Better Login
What do you like best about the product?
I like Workiva's ease of use, which makes it simple to control inventory, manage risks, handle issues, and process requests efficiently. I also value Workiva's issue tracking feature, as it contributes significantly to my experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the login and access aspect of Workiva.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps me control inventory, risks, issues, and requests. It's also easy to use.
Responsive Support but Product Needs Refinement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that with Workiva, there's never downtime, and the support people along with our success manager are very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting function is problematic, and the roles for user access are too limited/confusing. The testing and workpaper user experience feels clunky, and there are weird workflows and control fields. There are also a lot of random documents created by requests and testing. The interface is not as good as other tools I have used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva as a document repository for SOX work and for managing control owner requests.
Intuitive and Collaborative Platform with Minor Performance Issues
What do you like best about the product?
I like how intuitive Workiva is; it's very easy to use. I also appreciate being able to collaborate with my team in real-time, which enhances efficiency in our financial reporting. Automating financial tasks with Workiva helps reduce errors significantly. Additionally, the customer support is very responsive and quick to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be laggy at times if I'm working in a large spreadsheet file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva allows real-time team collaboration and automates financial reporting, reducing errors and increasing efficiency. It simplifies managing our 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and proxy statements by enabling simultaneous edits and updates, handling change management better than our previous use of Excel and Word.
Beginner-Friendly UI with Seamless Rollforward Process
What do you like best about the product?
I use Workiva for preparing earnings supplementals and appreciate its functionality, especially from a rollforward process perspective, which makes it seemingly easy. I like how the user interface is really beginner-friendly and easily accessible. All parts of Workiva, whether it's where files are located or where updates can occur, are able to be found with little trouble. The initial setup was fairly easy because my company had already integrated the processes before I joined, so it was easy to pick up. For financial reporting purposes, I believe it's a 9/10, as a majority of clients I know use it.

I find Workiva makes preparing earnings supplementals easy with its effective rollforward process. The beginner-friendly user interface lets me locate files and updates without trouble.
Easy Source Linking and Database-Driven Numbers
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to link and have references to the source data, or links to other publications for ease of reference. And how it is linked to the database for numbers. Also the help chat and articles are super helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times forgetting to publish data, maybe a warning would be good. And sometimes linking more than one source for exhibit indexes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us greatly with filing our quarterly and annual report. that is the biggest lift we need for the company. Also our 8Ks and any other SEC filings.
A Central Workspace That Makes Collaboration and Data Linking Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Central workspace for everyone to collaborate. Linking to data functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting documents isn't as easy as MS Office.

ESG Reporting. Earnings Reporting.
Time-Saving Imports and Easy-to-Navigate Financial Statement Templates
What do you like best about the product?
The import feature saves my team hours of work during our quarter-end cycle. The financial statements are also easy to navigate, with templated sections that make it straightforward to use and simple to edit specific areas when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the import feature, while helpful, were a bit more refined—specifically, so I could hit refresh and have it upload automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us solve the challenge of editing financial statements simultaneously across team members, and it also lets us create blacklines that clearly outline changes for our tie-out.
Great Risk & Control Layout with an All-in-One Testing View
What do you like best about the product?
I like the Risk and Control layout, as well as the testing module, where all the testing steps are accessible in a single view.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Workiva had the ability to track issues seamlessly from control through remediation. Right now, all issues have to be tracked manually, which makes the process more difficult than it needs to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps track of our entire SOX program, including risks, controls, and testing procedures.
Great User Interaction, Automation, and Customer Service

User interaction and automation along with customer service

No option to get test and live filing done by agents.

I am able to connect it to adaptive and the workflow helps save time.

Please make it easier to toggle back to the previous quarter.
