Workiva SOX Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The linkage between control forms, test forms, and the relevant reports and dashboards.
The remediation experience is also a good place to compile a list of annual deficiencies and categorize them with the pertinent fields.

What do you dislike about the product?
The user access profiles are not well defined and may limit or slow down the auditor testing process, if not defined at the front end of the implementation. Auditor level access needs to be thought of wholistically.
Also - it is difficult to manage count of unique testing templates by location for a large global organization.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to see the Company's control environment in an RCM format and the ability to automate reporting on progress status as the testing begins. It is also good to have a consolidated listing of issues and deficiencies tracked within the tool.

Good system layout with ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
Documentation of all audits including planning, fieldwork, and reporting documents and issue closure and validation. Many different data points which can be customized and analyzed through reports. Time tracking and milestones for audit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data connections are not counterintuitive. You can't download or replace papers with markup unless they are in a matrix. Data connections don't automatically refresh. It is hard to review documentation including RCM, writeups in the design and operating effectivess testing, etc. You can't track those changes easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
centralized documentation system for audits and issues and additional items such as admin and DA reports. ability to track approvals, time reports, milestones, and data inventories.
User friendly, with helpful updates
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to rollforward testing year over year, which saves time and improves efficiency. Ability to both export and import using excel or spreadsheet view. Collaboration and comment functionality is helpful when using across multiple business teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be a lag between inputting information and the data saving. If you dont click out of a text box before switching to another view, what you wrote will be lost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User-friendliness. Better views to see helpful information and charts. Cross-team functionallity. Productive audit results and ability to document and remediate issues.
The main content has good layout and quality.

The system makes it possible to document the tests in a transparent way and to monitor the evolution of the work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system still has many limitations regarding the size limit of uploaded files, as well as only a few file formats are accepted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The way in which we can show the documentation of the tests with each attribute of the control, allows greater credibility in the work.

What do you like best about the product?
Nice to do all the work in one place - manage PBCs, test, review workflow. With Wdesk, I don't need to manage a ton of spreadsheets in different places.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the navigation could be a bit more user friendly but it isn't terrible.

What do you like best about the product?
It's relatively easy to use and navigate. I like the ability to pull multiple files in one section.

No areas that I can think of that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows for a centralized location to edit/create polices and procedures. Easy to track changes and pull up hisotrical blacklines.
Workiva is a good working program to help track changes and approvals.

It is a live intitiative application leverages across the LOBs to communicate and make changes. The reports and historical documentation is awesome.

I dislike the random glitches. Approver

It provides insight to updates an historical data on the approvers involved.

What do you like best about the product?
Workiva gives a lot of different options to organize your work. The other systems I've seen others use aren't as functional as this one. It is critical to work with their representatives to fix bugs or quirky things. You can put all your support within that one control or test phase for everyone to work on and review later on.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can have glitches and not save in real time but you have to work with a representative to get these issues fixed. We've had issues where it has blocked access to previous testing that was saved but they get it back up for you. downside to that is it can slow you down during testing.

Workiva has been a very useful SEC Reporting tool
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful parts of Workiva have been the linking of numbers throughout financial documents and the ability to create several documents that can be linked together. It has made creating voluminous documents with several editors much more manageable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of Workiva are the separate platforms needed for internal management reporting, vs SOX, vs SEC reporting. The pricing and packaging are very expensive for a company of our size to get the three separate platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is solving the issue of drafting large financial documents that requires multiple editors/contributors and linking to supporting documentation for numbers.
