Intuitive for Beginners, Feels Like All Your Microsoft Tools in One
What do you like best about the product?
Its intuitive menus and options are really easy to navigate when you’re a beginner. Later on, once you’ve had a bit more practice with it, it feels like using Microsoft tools all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few minor setbacks when handling large amounts of information coming in from the chains. Typically, it takes about 30–40 minutes to run a set of around five chains, but in some cases it can take closer to two hours to run the same set.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I’m managing a project that usually requires multiple versions of the same file, this helps keep everything organized. It makes it easier to maintain information and keep it all in a single workspace, without needing multiple SharePoints or cloud storage services where information can get lost if it isn’t properly documented.
Effortless Financial Reporting and Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I use Workiva for financial reports, and I like their dashboard and reports, which help me analyze the profit and loss of my company. I think Workiva is a great software, and the initial setup was easy. I integrate it with Oracle as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike

What do you dislike about the product?
There’s no integrated AI testing available for audit purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated reporting makes it easy to provide periodic updates to management and the audit committee. I only have to hit three buttons instead of doing everything manually.
User-Friendly with Clear Pension Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva is simple to use and has a good user interface, which makes it easy for me to see my pension plan details very clearly. I appreciate that I can view my total value, the funds it is invested in, and a forecast of how much money I will have when I retire. Everything works as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, it is good software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva to view my pension plan details, including total value and investment forecasts clearly. Its simplicity and good user interface make it easy to understand.
Centralized Testing Is Great, but Dashboard Access and Support Need Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Centralised testing space with RCM and Issue forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of access to design customized dashboards. Inspite of meeting network strength requirements, at times when Workiva is not responsive, the team does not provide support to resolve the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized method of releasing data requests, testing accessibility by multiple users.
Centralized Audit Hub with Room for AI Enhancement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva has a centralized system for everything related to internal audit, including PBCs, reviews, and reporting. Communicating with control owners directly through the platform is another aspect I appreciate. The initial setup was quite easy, thanks to the supportive Workiva team, and they continue to be supportive.
What do you dislike about the product?
AI, it can help us do a first level review of the evidence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva for having a centralized system for internal audit tasks like PBCs, reviews, and reporting, and I like being able to communicate with control owners via the platform.
Efficient Tool for 10-K/10-Q Tie-Outs with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva helps us stay organized and makes the tie-out process smoother and less manual, especially with the latest updates like the markups option. The markups option is valuable because it lets us clearly document tie-out notes, highlight support, and communicate review comments directly within the workflow. This improves clarity among team members and ensures nothing is missed during the 10-K and 10-Q tie-out process.
What do you dislike about the product?
As we mostly use for 10-K tie outs, improvements in review efficiency, navigation, and ease of working with markups would make the experience even better. Improvements such as easier navigation between items, a more efficient review flow, and better tracking and management of markups would make Workiva even more valuable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva improves accuracy, reduces manual tie out work, and keeps our review process organized. The markups option enhances efficiency by documenting notes, highlighting support, and communicating comments within the workflow.
Seamless Spreadsheet Integration and Consistent Statutory Reporting with GSR
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with supporting spreadsheets and ability to leverage standard language across statutory reports with GSR. I enjoy how Workiva can operate across workspaces from SEC reporting, statutory reporting, SOX controls compliance, etc while providing great dashboards for managing tasks and review comments. Interactive collaboration tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Glitches and technical updates are sometimes slow to get resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Version control and ability to redline changes for others to see and comment on.

It’s easy to navigate and very user-friendly overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
The document upload feature could still be improved to better support uploading larger files and to load them more quickly.

It helps us better organize and document our audit procedures, and it supports compliance and reporting.
Workiva: The backbone of our financial statement process
What do you like best about the product?
The Efficiency Angle: The data linking is the biggest win. Being able to change a number in a single spreadsheet and knowing it’s going to update across my entire FS package - including the narratives and the MD&A - is a huge relief. It basically eliminates the 'did I miss a spot' anxiety during the year-end rush.
The Collaboration Angle: I love that it’s actually built for teams. Unlike working in a shared Excel drive where someone always locks the file, multiple of us can be in a document at once. The audit trail is also great because I can see exactly who changed a figure and when, which makes my review process much cleaner.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Formatting Angle: The formatting can be a bit finicky compared to native Microsoft Word or Excel. Sometimes getting a table to look exactly right for a final PDF output takes more manual 'massaging' than I’d like. Also, if you’re coming from heavy Excel use, you’ll definitely miss certain complex formulas or pivot table functionalities.
The Learning Curve Angle: There’s a bit of a steep learning curve at the start. It’s not a tool you can just jump into and master in an afternoon; you really need to understand the 'Workiva way' of structuring data. Also, the platform can occasionally lag when you’re dealing with massive datasets or very long, link-heavy documents.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Accuracy Angle: It's solving the version control nightmare. Before this, we had 'Final_v1', 'Final_v2', etc. Now, there is one 'Source of Truth.'
It has significantly reduced the risk of reporting conflicting numbers in different sections of our financial statements.
The Audit Angle: It has made our audit season much smoother.
We can give our auditors limited access or just provide them with the 'blacklines' (change reports), which saves us from having to manually explain every minor edit we made between drafts.
