Organized Audit Platform with Room for Dashboard Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Workiva is an organized platform that keeps all of our audit testing and support together. I like that everything is all in one place. I also appreciate the use of Workiva AI to refine audit notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that dashboards and reports require a lot of pre-work to create, which can be cumbersome, especially if the CAM and implementation are not detailed. It can be a bit challenging for less tech-savvy users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva for audit work. It organizes all our audit testing and support in one place, and I appreciate using Workiva AI to refine audit notes.
Workiva Streamlines Filings with Ease, Efficiency, and Accuracy
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Workiva is its ease of use and how it streamlines the filing process. It significantly improves efficiency and accuracy, making it a valuable tool for managing and completing our filings. Additionally, the Workiva team is very responsive and supportive whenever we have questions, which enhances the overall experience. We rely on the platform regularly for our annual, quarterly, and ad hoc filings.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Workiva is very helpful overall, there are some functionalities we would like to see enhanced. At times, certain features are not as intuitive, which can make it difficult to navigate changes with confidence. There is also some concern that making updates or toggling settings could unintentionally impact filings, so additional safeguards or clearer guidance would be beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps solve challenges around managing complex filings, ensuring data consistency, and coordinating across multiple stakeholders. By centralizing our reporting and linking data throughout the document, it reduces the risk of errors and eliminates manual updates. This improves efficiency, enhances accuracy, and provides greater confidence in our filings. Additionally, it streamlines collaboration and review processes, allowing teams to work more effectively during tight reporting timelines.
Easy-to-Use, User-Friendly Platform
What do you like best about the product?
It’s an easy-to-use platform that’s very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be great if its appearance were more contemporary, because right now it gives the impression of an outdated tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s a great databank and organising tool. It’s also excellent for teamwork, since we can track changes to our policies.
Spectacular Support, Easy SEC-Compliant Version Control Anywhere
What do you like best about the product?
Version control - what you see is what you get presentation, spectacular customer service, SEC Compliance, ease of use and SAAS based so I can use it anywhere, on any computer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost - but you get what you pay for. Additional "tiers" might not be for every company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Version control and access - I can control who sees what version, or parts of the document, and who can actually edit. No more emailing versions then asking "what version are we looking at?"
Efficient Financial Management with Minor Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I like Workiva's smooth and intuitive interface. It effectively supports interconnectivity and collaboration across numerous stakeholders, making the review process of documents—including version control—much easier. Additionally, it helps in the streamlining of internal consistency between documents. The initial setup of Workiva was easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
XBRL validation errors and warnings are often unclear. They do not clearly indicate what is in conflict or how it can be resolved, often requiring reading code. Many of these errors are irrelevant and are ignored, like expected signs for certain concepts. Also, there is a need for standardized/mass formatting options to preset certain table formatting options, such as when comparing income periods or balance sheet dates.

Workiva improves interconnectivity and collaboration across stakeholders, helping streamline internal document consistency.
Workiva Makes Financial Statement Reviews Seamless—and Saves Us Tons of Time
What do you like best about the product?
My company creates 3-4 company wide financial statements and Workiva makes this so seamless. I love the track changes/review function, comments and even being able to send review copies to our auditors. The best feature though is the attachment feature - we can add tie out support directly into our document, then download a zip file with all the support and send to reviewers within seconds. Previously, we had to zip all the support ourselves which can take awhile. This feature saves us so much time and leaves a great trail for review as well as onboarding new team members - they can see exactly what support goes with each number as they're learning our financials. Can't imagine doing my job without Workiva!
What do you dislike about the product?
The improvement I wish I could have from Workiva is specific to the Presentations - Powerpoint just has so many more Smart Art options and ways to customize slides that Workiva doesn't have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have not used the AI features a ton on my team yet, but after getting a demo from our Workiva support team, we're excited to dive in and try them out!
Workiva Makes Linking, Templates, and Roll-Forwards Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva lets you link items and set up templates that can be easily rolled forward and reused. It also makes it easy to trace supporting information across the supporting materials and the documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the AI features were better/easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva has given us a platform for better analysis. We can link the data we need from different sources, compile it all in one place, and it’s easy to roll forward each month.
Streamlined SEC Reporting with Workiva Sync
What do you like best about the product?
I use Workiva for SEC reporting needs like 10Qs, 10Ks, Proxy statements, and SOX certifications. I find it very easy to compare versions of the same document, provide review copies to auditors, and leave/respond to comments. I really like the Workiva sync feature where I can do all the work in Excel and then sync the data to Workiva instead of manually typing everything. This feature has taken a process that would've taken countless hours and turned it into the click of a few buttons.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to do blacklines against other documents in the workspace that may not be in the same folder. There are a lot of features that we weren't originally taking advantage of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva for SEC reporting, and it simplifies comparing document versions, sharing with auditors, and handling comments. The Workiva sync feature saves countless hours by syncing Excel data with just a few clicks, eliminating manual entry.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Workiva is how it connects data, narrative, and collaboration in one controlled environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like least about Workiva is that its flexibility sometimes comes at the cost of speed and simplicity, especially for advanced users.

At its core, Workiva solves the problem of fragmented, high‑risk reporting processes—where data, narrative, and approvals live in separate tools and are reconciled manually.
User-Friendly Workiva with Powerful Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how user-friendly Workiva is. In my experience, it’s easy to learn and straightforward to train others on, while still offering a lot of capabilities. Overall, it feels like a strong choice for an organization of any scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is that, while it offers many features, it can feel overwhelming for a team at first. However, to help with this, Workiva does a great job of pairing you with a Workiva team member who can guide you through everything and help you navigate the platform. In that respect, I think their customer service really shines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is helping us solve the problem of having information and work spread across several different places. Bringing everything together on one platform improves transparency across the organization and supports more streamlined, consistent processes.
