What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little bit complex to figure out initially.

Enhances Web Design with User-Friendly Previews
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature for Brightspot is the preview ability where you can develop a preview link and share it. It makes review very simple and easy. It's very helpful to see what it will actually look like once it's published. Being able to share the preview link around with stakeholders is super helpful and makes it a smooth review process.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a lot of different features that I'm not super familiar with, maybe a training course could be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Brightspot for website design, and its preview ability is super helpful for sharing with stakeholders, making review processes smooth.
Great Capabilities, But Needs Polished Features
What do you like best about the product?
I value the capabilities of Brightspot, especially the various ways it allows users to manage their websites easily once they understand the system. It's great for curating lists of articles and creating impactful pages. I like the ability to use shared modules (and recent-ish ability to transition an existing module to shared and vice versa) and use tagged pages/sections coupled with 'current tags' on article lists, it's a time saver that helps quickly producing lots of pages with relevant items.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have some BSP-built items that have been in some stage unfinished or broken since we migrated in 2020, and they were never really fixed by BSP. We replaced a few of these items with simple embeds and hired our own internal development team to address some of the issues but it took years to rebuild what we thought we were getting from BSP upon migration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot allows many users to manage websites easily with its capabilities and options for curating articles and SEO. The use of tags and shared modules helps produce pages quickly with relevant content.
Brightspot’s Flexible Workflows Make High-Quality Content Delivery Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Brightspot is its flexibility and efficiency. It allows me to manage, organize, and deliver high-quality content across the channel smoothly. The ability to customize workflows and templates makes our production faster and ensures everything meets our editorial standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I find challenging about Brightspot is that some of the more advanced features come with a learning curve, especially when you’re customizing workflows or templates. That said, once you get used to it, the platform becomes very powerful and efficient. On the downside, our website has gone down twice in the last four months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot helps solve the challenge of managing and delivering large volumes of content efficiently. It organizes all our editorial assets, streamlines workflows, and allows us to publish high-quality content across multiple platforms quickly. This benefits me by saving time, reducing errors, and ensuring our productions meet the channel’s standards.
Clear editorial coordination for large content teams
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Brightspot is the editorial organization of the team responsibilities in my opinion. I collaborate with writers, product managers and marketing specialists and the platform enables all to know what content they are to deal with. The task assignments and approval phases are extremely useful in terms of campaign preparation. It also tracks the person that edited what, as this prevents misunderstandings.
What do you dislike about the product?
A problem that I have encountered with Brightspot is that certain tasks involve multiple steps to be carried out in publishing, and they can be tiresome when one faces a hectic day. The marketing team needs to switch screens to complete one product update at times when making various product announcements. It does not prevent us to work, but it decreases the pace of content preparation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot aids in resolving the issue of coordinating content work across the various departments. Marketing, editorial and product teams all play a role in the same website in my company. Prior to the usage of this platform, it was hard to trace the author of each content. Brightspot maintains transparency of responsibility and makes sure that articles go through the review process appropriately.
Empowers Marketing to Build and Update Landing Pages Fast—Plus an Easy API
What do you like best about the product?
Marketing can come in and create landing pages, update content, move blocks around etc., all without creating a ticket for development or waiting on them. I am writing this and my coffee is getting cold...but honestly it is one of those products that once you "click" it will really click. Also the API was simple enough that integrating it into our front end was not a huge task - worked well with what we had.
What do you dislike about the product?
Back-end configurations can be somewhat finicky if you want to do anything outside of normal configurations. Petty complaint, but the UI can significantly lag on larger projects, nothing is going to kill you, just an annoyance when you are trying to work quickly. The price increases between levels for additional users are quite steep if you are a small team looking for only a few more user accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to this, every single time we wanted to make a change to a website - whether it was a small edit to copy, a swap of images, or a new campaign page, the changes had to be submitted to the development team. Now the content team handles changes to websites, and the development team can focus on developing features. Additionally, Brightspot helps keep everything consistent; when you update one component, all instances of that component will be updated as well. This consistency is important to teams that work across multiple markets, or have large numbers of pages.
Organized content publishing across busy marketing departments
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Brightspot is that it will assist me in sorting out a massive amount of content in our e-commerce editorial section of the website. The product stories, purchasing recommendations, and promotional pages are handled by me, and the features are numerous to make it easy to control permissions and delegate tasks to authors. The execution was similar with our already existing marketing tools and as such we did not have to re-establish our working system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most frustrating aspect of Brightspot is dealing with technical side of it. As we depend on the integration with such systems as Salesforce and marketing tools, minor problems may be observed following updates. That breaks my regular frequency of use since I have to ensure that nothing is going wrong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The issue that Brightspot addresses is a large one we faced previously, in terms of content management on websites in various teams. Before its application, our editors and marketing personnel were in different systems. Today the integration with such tools as Google Analytics and Slack ensures that all people are on a single workflow. The features will assist us to create product articles, blog posts, and landing pages in one location.
Extensive Customization and an All-in-One Toolset That Keeps Getting Better
What do you like best about the product?
I love the extensive customization options—it makes campaign optimization easy with intuitive tools. It also supports multitasking, and the toolset is excellent and keeps improving over time. It helps me ensure that every piece of content has greater impact, and I really like having everything I need in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d like to see more flexibility in the blog editor, and the platform can feel overwhelming for beginners at first. The automatic translation through the DeepL integration also needs improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me stay on top of my work more efficiently, and the content customization saves a lot of time. It’s become an excellent tool for creating and managing content, and it makes it easy for all team members to access what they need. I also like that you can schedule content in advance and manage the publishing calendar ahead of time.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the role-based permission and governance control in Brightspot for managing who can edit, approve, or publish content. The initial setup was fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Brightspot could improve the mobile editing experience for managing content on smartphones and tablets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Brightspot for distributing content across multiple channels. It solves media asset management difficulties with built-in digital asset management, and organizes images, videos, and documents efficiently.
Streamlined Multi-Site Management with Collaborative Power
What do you like best about the product?
I like managing multi-site content from a single CMS dashboard with Brightspot. I appreciate the automation of manual content approval with approval chains and notifications. I also value the strong collaboration feature that lets multiple team members work on content together. Plus, the initial setup was fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Brightspot could improve by adding more built-in templates for faster website and page creation.
