HubSpot makes my life easier, but it still has room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I love the friendly user interface yet robust back end and automation capabilities of the platform. The email and landing page designer are very intuitive as well. I appreciate the community and fully available support when I need help on certain things.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration with Salesforce can be difficult to manage, especially because HubSpot only uses Contacts, and only sees certain objects and not others. The reports tools could also be better - This might be a fixable problem, but I can't report on a group of contacts based on OR logic, it has to be AND logic. Attribution could also be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use HubSpot for lifecycle/buyer's journey management, maketing nurture automation, landing page design, emails, data management with workflows, integrations with other platforms, ads, social posting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't expect to use this as an email blasting tool, or an outbound lead prospector. It is used best when fully committing to the inbound methodology. Invest in a HubSpot partner agency if you can't handle everything in house.
HubSpot made our processes more efficient
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of using HubSpot, and how they care about their customers' success by providing training, events, workshops and a wide variety of high-quality content.
The amount of third-party integrations is also very remarkable.
The amount of third-party integrations is also very remarkable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their sequence reporting is definitely one of their main opportunities for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we came across HubSpot, we used to perform manual tasks to keep our leads up to date, which was extremely tedious. Currently, 80% of these tasks are performed via workflows, eliminating friction between the marketing and sales teams.
Making improvements over time
What do you like best about the product?
Process for sending out marketing emails
What do you dislike about the product?
Filtering isn't always accurate; no easy way to deal with duplicate companies & contacts being created; constantly losing functions or data due to crashes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interrupts workflow currently with filtering issues
This Changed How We Do Business
What do you like best about the product?
This is the most intuitive software out there for CRM, marketing automation, sales pipeline management, and even online marketing and ticket processing. It puts everything you need to track regarding your prospects, clients, and their experiences in one place. Everything is easy to access and integrations are plentiful. I love that I can create a landing page, the form that goes on it and make sure contact records are updated/created as needed... all in one place. It is marketing magic.
One of my favorite features is the integration with Zoom through a simple, 3-step workflow. I've been able to run several webinars a month, single-handedly, because of this integration feature on HubSpot. It's great that I can create everything I need for webinar registrations, attendance tracking, and follow-up, ALL within the HubSpot platform. We've developed a wonderful system to create lists for all webinar registrants, and then I manually mark all attendees on their contact records after the event so that we can look at a contact record and know what webinars they attended. It's been wonderful for ensuring all interested attendees get follow-up and helps us know what influences our sales, as well.
The social media integrations are also fantastic! I write all our content a month in advance and schedule it all through HubSpot in bulk. That way, I never have to worry about posting day-by-day, and all my social media content is in one place to reference. The calendar feature is an added bonus. I like being able to see at a glance what is posting when, and it helps me identify potential gaps in our content scheduled. The ease of adding images, and the availability of stock photos, is also wonderful. And then when I'm creating my end of the month reports, I'm able to pull up the analytics directly in HubSpot and pull all the numbers I need on each of our social media platforms, right from the CRM.

What do you dislike about the product?
The landing page creation in HubSpot is clunky and outdated. It's difficult to switch back and forth between templates and a new landing page to get it just right for the content you want to use. And you have to be a coder to edit the templates. HubSpot could take a few tips and tricks from Unbounce in this arena. If they improved their landing pages, I would have no complaints about the software.
Another improvement that could be made is the addition of a tagging system for all contacts. Right now, we much segment leads with property values. It would be wonderful to be able to tag them at different stages to make it easier for us to create workflows based on their experiences and our communications with them on an individual level. This would help us create custom workflows based on a manual tagging system by our sales team. They would be able to tag contacts they are working with so that those individuals get put into the best possible follow-up funnel. I think this would help us improve our prospect and client communications and allow for further customization with follow-up and the prospect experience.

Before we implemented HubSpot, the sales pipeline was being tracked through Dynamics, which is basically just a glorified spreadsheet. The sales team was using this for HUNDREDS of clients, and the marketing team had no idea what any of our prospects and clients were experiencing in that sales funnel. Complex reports were created manually, often taking hours to complete each month to submit to the executive team. Now anyone can login to HubSpot, look up a contact, and see exactly where they are in the process and what communications they've received from our team. We've created all the custom reports we need, and these are updated in real time for us to pull whenever we need them. We are saving our team HOURS of back and forth communication on contacts and adding levels of insight to our buyer journey that we couldn't see before. It's revolutionizing our marketing and sales efforts and bringing us fully into the 21st century.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to build a company that communicates in a way that buyers expect with modern technology, start with HubSpot. It is an investment that saves you and your team time and money. It also gives you all the tools your business needs to grow.
Loved every instance I encounter with HubSpot on daily basis.
What do you like best about the product?
Well, first I loved the clean UI that they have for the portal to use it. Clean, easy to understand, easy to manage and easy to navigate through.
Second, great way to manage the chaos while doing thousands of email campaigns, workflow or assets.
Third, quick live support if you are in middle of something and can't find a way. Loved it, too.
Forth, The new Email builder. It's so perfect in terms of creating responsive emails.

What do you dislike about the product?
Couple of simple stuff that can be fixed.
1. Changing of the cases on First or Last name
2. Adding First and Last name in the from name while sending the email.
3. A way of sending a test email from actual email address rather than 'noreply@hubspot.com' for better understanding.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everyday Marketing problems
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool to use with great support all the time available. With the new email marketing platform it's super easy to match with your brand.
Great Newsletter Options + Emails
What do you like best about the product?
My favourite aspect of HubSpot is creating a newsletter and other automated emails. I find the entire system intuitive, but also efficient. At my work, we send a lot of follow up emails that can be generic, so HubSpot has options to work smarter rather than harder when doing so.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer more options for analytics. I find that it's not always easy to find what I am looking for on HubSpot and often have to cross-reference with Google Analytics when I'm studying website traffic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the greatest things about HubSpot is its newsletter analytics. I have been able to refine our company's inbound marketing campaign to increase our click-through rate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use HubSpot Academy! It's such a great resource when you need to figure something out and you're unable to speak to your HubSpot rep.
Learning curve, but very customizable to your company's workflow once you know how to use it
What do you like best about the product?
Email, list generation/segmentation, and workflows are very user-friendly and easy to use. Lots of integrations with third-party apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adapting lead categorization to your internal company structure can be difficult. Creating custom landing page templates is not very user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gauging the interest level of a lead via specific interactions has allowed us a much more pinpointed approach to how we acquire targets for the sales team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We had a terrible implementation partner, do your due diligence and find a partner that really knows what they're doing. We had to jump in and learn everything for ourselves after our partner left us high and dry.
Great All-in-One Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Having everything in one place is the best part. We're able to build and track everything we need to keep the sales pipeline full and smoothly transition new customers to the on-boarding team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The delineation between contact, company, and deal workflows gets annoying sometimes. This causes us to need 3-4 workflows to complete an action that could conceptually be put into one workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using HubSpot to manage our sales process, specifically utilizing lead statuses to track how prospects engage with us prior to scheduling a demo call. We're realized that we can automate a lot of these lead statuses automatically, freeing our sales team to focus on building relationships rather than keeping the system up to date.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to watch their trainings and map out what you'd like to build before you start playing around inside the application. This extra work will help you save time and keep things organized.
90% of all businesses can use and scale with HubSpot
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple to use and understand. Doesn't take a lot to figure things out. The user interface is nicely set up so even showing it to co-workers who don't use HubSpot as much as I do can digest it easily. HubSpot does a great job with their email sending to helping you see everything you need to before you hit send. Lots of double-checks that HubSpot will do for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the reporting capabilities are very elementary. Wish you could go a little more customized with those. The workflows are great and easy to use, however, you have to be pretty creative with how you do things if you need a more complicated workflow. Wish workflows had more capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing automation is simple with HubSpot. Gathering, moving, and classifying contacts on who is ready for sales is a simple process and HubSpot does it well. HubSpot's exporting features are also good. Puts things in excel reports that are very useful. However, I wish that HubSpot would have some better reporting capabilities inside the tool so you could make dynamic reports within HubSpot instead of exporting data and doing it in Excel.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are just starting out, or need a tool to help you take your business to the next level with your marketing and automation, HubSpot is your tool. I would highly recommend it to anyone. There are drawbacks as with any software, but HubSpot overall is a great tool.
The HubSpot Marketing Department
What do you like best about the product?
As a marketing department of one, HubSpot makes it feel like I have help and a full staff that is executing on email, webinars and social media at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way for HubSpot and Zoom to integrate so that the contacts were updated with which webinars they have attended/signed-up and not attended/not registered for so that we can set contact attributes but also follow-up with contacts based on those groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I currently set Email workflows for webinar promotions, social media management, blogging and plan to do much more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a small team looking to extend your staff, HubSpot makes it really easy. I can work ahead to schedule marketing items for days that I am busy or not in the office.
