Hubspot Marketing Review: Social Media Exec
What do you like best about the product?
The calendar visual tool for social media planning makes it easy to see where gaps are in my content. You can view an entire month at a time, so you can plan as far ahead as you need to.
I also like having the ability to schedule posts for multiple platforms at once - makes chopping and using captions much easier and quicker.
The platform supports most social media apps, so brands can message all channels from the one tool. You can also save each post by a particular campaign, so you can see via analytics how your campaign has performed over time.

What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to schedule videos for Instagram - these have to be posted manually. You also can't post carousel images on Instagram, so again, these need to be done manually. It would be good if the platform had a notification mode where it sends you an alert when it's time for you to manually upload a video/carousel post.
It can also be quite slow, particularly if scheduling for multiple platforms at once.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to schedule content ahead of time is much easier, giving you time to start working on other upcoming campaigns. The easy to view analytics tool also makes it quick to see a summary of how your content is performing.
HubSpot's workflows can trigger webhooks unleashing great opportunities for automation
What do you like best about the product?
Not only can we automate our usual marketing communications, we can expand the automation to physical operational processes. For example, moving deals to a deal stage in HubSpot or changing a property can submit a webhook via a workflow. Another application such as Zapier picks up the webhook and can trigger other actions such as generating personalised labels, printing documents or transferring information to other apps for analytics.
The HubSpot interface is very user-friendly and does not require technical expertise to set up neat and efficient business flows.
Another great feature is being able to update contact or deal records on mass by importing an xlsx file with the deal or contact ID as a reference. The process is intuitive and you can select which columns you would like to import and which property in hubspot each column should push to.

What do you dislike about the product?
Mail attachments in HubSpot are limited to download links rather than real attachments. The default is for these links to expire after time which caused us some issues.

We use HubSpot for our email communications with customers and to trigger physical operational processes via workflows. Deal stages track the progress of an order.
Best Marketing Platform Hands Down
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of platform. I love how easy it is to create reports, and how simple it is to find the material I am looking for. Developing emails is SO SIMPLE! And I love their marketplace - you can find a plethora of free or paid for templates
What do you dislike about the product?
For the reporting tool, I liked when you used to be able to compare website traffic the same way you can still check a box and compare the time frame in SM reports. Wish they would bring that reporting tool back. Each month I have to do a side by side comparison. :( Probably the ONLY thing I dont like about HubSpot though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing the stages each contact is in is very useful. As well as being able to see (in the contact view) all the actions they took on my website or within my emails. I also LOVE how I can download email reports - that is saving SO MUCH time!.
Best Marketing Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The interface/dashboard is the best. The ease to switch from the CRM to Marketing Tool makes everything available within one click. The workflow/automation builder is easy to use/user friendly. Building forms/landing pages have never been easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Audience segmentation - I wish there was a way to split lists/audiences by random or percentages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to get the right message to the right people at the right time. We used AB split tests for setting up multiple types of tests based on open/click rates.
Couldn't do my job without Hubspot!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about Hubspot is how it enables me to personalize outreach to our users. List creation, email personalization tools, workflows, easy-to-create forms, landing pages, ability to create custom properties, integrates with a lot of tools. All these features allow us to get the right message to the right person at the right time. Hubspot is very agile and we are able to leverage it to work with our still-evolving product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not much! I've used Hubspot with two different companies and have had minimal qualms with it. One major difficulty I face right now is that we can't create lists with aggregated transaction objects. We need to create other workarounds using workflows, etc.
Also, Hubspot picks up on "crawler clicks" and registers them as clicks. So our CTR data is very skewed (although this could be a typical challenge regardless of CRM. May not be Hubspot-specific)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hubspot allows us to build personalized relationships with our users at scale. The biggest challenge our company faces is 1) brand awareness and 2) retention/engagement. The biggest benefit we've found recently is being able to create lots of targeted landing pages to give our audience the context they need to trust our company. We work with government clients, so there is a lot of hesitancy to try new products.
I am the Marketing Director at Snake River Pool & Spa for (3) locations, we joined Hubspot in 2018
What do you like best about the product?
The customer service support is pretty good, I've only had maybe one less than satisfactory call/chat. Our Sales Team is more in synch, organized and learning more every week with Hubspot to better streamline.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost. And cost increases every year I have to basically work through with management every year to approve. Lock in for 2-5 years for a discount would work well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits and reporting are imperative to my Marketing Strategy and Aligning with the Sales Team Goals. Workflows are fantastic!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure the retail point-of-sale software has an open API to connect with Hubspot... we've had to "double enter" or synch via excel uploads and it has become quite cumbersome. With the "Free" Website connect set-up... make sure you are ready with your site - our site was under construction when we joined Hubspot & thus created a sub-domain with info.thespateam.com for landing pages... once our site TheSpaTeam.com was fully updated - Hubspot would not update our subdomain to match our main domain navigation, etc. without another development fee. We are adding brands & categories to our product offerings every year & it is unfortunate we have to pay Hubspot to update our connection/subdomain for any updates to our main website / navigation.... thus, we don't use landing pages from Hubspot any longer.
Otherwise, make sure all marketing folks are on the onboarding calls with Account Manager at Hubspot, they only provide this service once, so the more employees who will use it to be on these calls at the beginning will help tremendously.

Simplified Socia Media Organization and Scheduling
What do you like best about the product?
The Social Media tool within HubSpot Marketing is our key management platform for our LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook accounts. Having a single calendar to manage our content scheduling as well as having pre-set time settings ensures we are pushing content daily at the appropriate times. It also enables multiple team members to work on social who can focus on the content while leaving the time to post for the tool to handle. Finally, the Clone feature provides automatic re-send capability for our top posts without having to re-write the content; thus saving time which is always a challenge.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have the ability to write content and select multiple social media channels to send the content without having to redo the process for each social media challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As HubSpot Marketing is our primary marketing tool it saves us considerable expenses in having to purchase an additional tool for social media; obviously this is a nice benefit to save operational expenses. This tool is also allowing multiple marketing team members to create new social content and easily post without having to learn a complex social tool. Overall, we are saving time and money while offering an opportunity for our entire marketing organization to create social content.
Stay Organized with a User Friendly Platform
What do you like best about the product?
It helps keep all my social posts organized while allowing me to publish in advance. I also appreciate the analytics it tracks as it is difficult and time consuming pulling data from all different social platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't upload multiple Instagram images so a swipe post
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- When our users are most active with our socials
- What type of content is successful on each platform
- What type of content is successful on each platform
Very easy to use and very speedy support responses if I ever get stuck! Would highly recommend.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to create dynamic workflows that really easily integrates with the Sales Hub so when a contact interacts with a marketing email it can send notifications directly to our internal slack channel and also create a sales task for the sales team to act upon. It is also nice that it can change the lead status automatically once a contact takes a certain marketing action so it is not as manual to keep up with changing a contact from a marketing qualified lead to a sales qualified lead, etc.
It is also nice to have so much control over tags and created fields so we can really tailor it to our business operations.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far, my biggest complaint is not being able to schedule automated emails. It would be nice to be able to schedule certain lists to automatically be set on a workflow at a scheduled time. Unfortunately right now, it is a very manual process.
It can also be a challenge to keep up with marketing contacts and not worry about going over the allowed limit.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is much simpler to keep track of all of my contacts and their interactions with our marketing materials. Very simple to see how frequently they interact so we can know when to pass them along to our sales team.
HubSpot Marketing hub - One stop shop for everything a marketer needs
What do you like best about the product?
I'm going to highlight 2 things:
1) Posting on social media is easy. I create 1 post for Facebook and clone it over to Twitter and IG with a click. I can set an entire month's worth of posts in an afternoon and just let them run without a worry. I can schedule the same post at different times depending on the platform to hit target users when we think they will be online.
2) Building marketing emails and workflows is easy and intuitive. Onboarding new people to the platform is fast and takes less time then with other platforms we've used. Additionally, since everything is integrated together, we pull live data from the SalesHub CRM of active customers, not a stale list that may not have been updated.

What do you dislike about the product?
Like with any sales and marketing system, we need to manage the number of contacts in our database. After all, we pay for each contact so keeping the contacts that are active and purging contacts that are no longer engaged or otherwise not of value is very important. The way to manage disengaged contacts or dead leads is clunky and somewhat time consuming and difficult. If I had 1 request it would be to make this easier so we can keep our sales and marketing efforts effective and our KPIs relevant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Probably like most, Marketing Hub helps us with scale and limited resources. Being able to integrate with our web provider and build out automated emails helps us gain incite from our customers, increase sales and customer value. Soon we are going to dive into account based marketing and take our company to the next level!
