Ability to make it your own
What do you like best about the product?
The scalability and flexibility. Arena QMS allows users to develop Quality solutions that best meet user needs. It also allows varying licenses and policies to ensure the best controls around the QMS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tickets submitted to Arena support often receive responses that are vague and unhelpful. Additionally, the formating between worlds is sometimes inconsistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Document control to the necessary regulations, ability for document review and approval, methods for onboarding, training, and monitoring. Migration from paper forms to electronic.
Arena is a whole new experience, which requires a lot of learning, but it's a good challenge!
What do you like best about the product?
Arena PLM is a high-speed system compared to (previous) Windchill. The mutual connection (linking) of documents and processes enables reviewed and fast work. It provides a large selection of different options for document processing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Arena PLM offers a large selection of different options for document processing, and it is precisely this large selection that is quite confusing for first-time users. The notification system is overemphasized and unclear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speed of document processing, accuracy and connection of documents and PLM system. My productivity is a better, because the transparency of data processing is greater.

What do you like best about the product?
As a system administrator one the things I like best about Arena is the support we receive from both our success coach and our account manager. They have great avaialblity answer questions about the account and technical questions.

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I dislike about Arena. We use analytics and wish there were ways to join the different worlds for reporting purposes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows for document control and training management of SOPs for remote staff. Seamlessly blend quality activities with configurable workflows to match our various procedures.

We cannot copy data easily between workspaces.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can manage Change Process linked to our CAD system (onshape). We can now have all the traceability between a change and related items.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that your entire QMS can be connected (linked) together so finding documents and records are simple and efficient. The electronic signatures for various procedures are convenient when working with multiple locations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is the cost of the subscriptions. It is more expensive than standard out-of-the-box PLM and QMS software, but I have not seen many with the functionalities provided in Arena.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Arena solution is fantastic for companies collaborating with other groups within the same facility or between multiple facilities. Efficiency in completing QMS tasks has increased, and the automated processes within Arena have helped maintain compliance. Keeping the process flowing when outside the facility is an important benefit for busy schedules.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have our product qualification data, phase gate, compliance, build documentation, and so much more in one location with the ability to share what I need to with my internal and external customers
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was a little more consistent across worlds. For instance, have the ability to use RTF on requests and changes like in the requirements world, not limit the number of characters in the summary for requests and changes or maybe make them both larger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I first started working for Vivint, we did not have a PLM system so, it was a lifesaver to get everything out of Excel and file manager and into a PLM system, with REAL revision control.
The QMS module is another good addition! We are able to use for our phase gate / engineering validation process. Having the capability to associate the quality module item to a request and change has been a huge benefit to the company.

ARENA PLM, A win-win partnership!
What do you like best about the product?
The most appreciated feature to us is that ARENA PLM is cloud based and permits real-time exchanges throughout our products lifecycles which increases productivity, time to market and quality of all our products and services.
What do you dislike about the product?
Truly, I can not think of anything to dislike presently, ARENA is being more and more procative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting all of our supply base and partners coordinated and working as one team.

What do you like best about the product?
Great way to control documents and track quality processes. Analytics gives a great view of trends from all areas of Arena

It can be a little tricky to navigate and find what you're looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analytics has been great in allowing for data trending around quality issues. The ease of the dashboards has reduced time in gathering data our users used to do manually.
Great cloud based PLM & QMS Solution!
What do you like best about the product?
Arena is very user-friendly, houses all of your data in one place and as it is cloud-based you can access it from anywhere in the world without any of the IT overhead! It is very easy to review and access the relevant information including drawings and data sheets. You can customize your quality workflows and create different custom templates as well. BOM functionality with different viewing options makes it very easy to understand and the redline view is super helpful for reviewing ECO changes. Arena help feature is robust, and the customer support team is great and very quick to respond with solutions/suggestions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration solution for standard CAD softwares is not easy to implement and can be improved. Also creating custom reports can maybe improved by somehow providing a visual preview of the columns or by some other method.

Only source of true information and houses all our quality records.

-Digitization of processes formally tracked via excel sheets and folder systems.
-Easy admin management tools allows for addition and removal of permissions and processes on the fly
-Responsive and friendly support teams usually respond within a day - most times within a few hours.
-Quick lookup of documents saved against item cards and quality processes streamline daily activities.

What do you dislike about the product?
-There is no way to track "decay" of items (such as calibration intervals or SOPs coming up for review) without using the Training World or a convoluted Quality Process. Would like the items themselves to have internal "decay" timers
-Grouping employees is difficult if not impossible. I may have to reach out to see if this is possible, but if it is it is not readily apparent I can make a "Quality Group", for example, and tag that group on projects across the workspace.

-Arena is digitizing processes that were formally handled in dusty file cabinets and scattered excel files. Not only is this obviously more compliant, but it is much simpler for the team to work together and collect/manage data.
-The visibility of Change Management in Arena really lets people see exact what is going on with a part, from details and specs to sourcing and quality issues. This has cut down on requests for information significantly.
