Daily basis using Arena
What do you like best about the product?
The autofill helps you the moment you are looking for a certain document, or anything related, it has easy access, to new users when you use the search option, I been using other QMS but nothing compares to this.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes is kinda difficult when you are trying to create a document, the tutorials are good, but they are explained like if you were previously an expert, they need to think more on new users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The thing that is helping us right now is the easy and quick access that this tool has, I'm getting more productive because I'm a trainer and every time i need to consult something it is there easy
Using Arena for Medical Device Company.
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful aspect of Arena is being able to see all BOM components of a product and see all linked quality events and change orders. This makes collaboration and traceability easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Arena is the search function. It is difficult to find items or problems without having the exact code or title correct. Having similar results pop up while searching for items would be very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arena PLM & QMS is helping us maintain an organized and functioning eQMS that is accessible and aids in traceability. We are able to be more organized in the creation and development of products.
Keeping track of necessary part numbers/software versions keeping them well bundled together.
What do you like best about the product?
Its sorting system has been the most helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've run into no problems as of yet. Though that in of itself may be included under the "like best" category.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of product parts and variations.
Solid data system
What do you like best about the product?
Part number structure very good and clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
The access speed is not very good.
Lagging while search with huge data.
Lagging while search with huge data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manage the data and PLM.
User Friendly and overall wonderful platform
What do you like best about the product?
The system is intuitive and easy to use. The ability to tie requests, changes, items, tickets and quality all to each other to what I call the "Alice and Wonderland" tunnel is amazing. You can keep clicking and get where you need to be without starting a new search. One of the best PLM platforms I have used in my career.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to see that when an item is unreleased or released and fed to a BOM that is unreleased, the "where used" does not show you the association. I understand the thing doesn't have a demand, but it would be helpful to see where these components are used. We often release the children of a BOM first before the parent, and the parent can take some time to release. With the "where used" not a beneficial tool, it's hard to see the required demand for ordering purchases as several of our components are very long lead items. We tend to have to involve the design engineer to obtain answers when if the "where used" would show usage even in unreleased parent BOMs, we could see the demand and not involve other parties consuming their time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Effectively keeping requests and changes together and seeing all historical data tied together within the system. It has also helped with the overall configuration management of our systems.
Highly functional but not intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Clear release and approval procedures.
Hyperlinks to parts are stable and work well to share with other customers.
Hyperlinks to parts are stable and work well to share with other customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very intuitive to use and it takes a while to become a proficient user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Part Releases, Approvals, Change Control
Arena has been effect and efficient implementing our QMS.
What do you like best about the product?
Its flexibility and integration with OnShape.
What do you dislike about the product?
My column width doesn't seem to be configurable. I need wider columns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud-based solution has solved our distributed workforce issue with low IT overhead.
Expensive but it works
What do you like best about the product?
Pricing is upfront and you know exactly how much you are going to have to pay for what you get. Other modular software systems are broken up into many different pieces that all have their own pricing and then also licensing is complex as well and you really have no idea how much you are going to have to spend until you start putting it all together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with other systems like SAP/Great Plains is extra and not built into Arena, while QMS, Project management and Training are all built into Arena. Many customers, us included, don't use it for those purposes. It would be nice to have a cheaper version that does not include any extra stuff so companies can only pay for what they are using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Document Change Control
Arena PLM tool is the way-to-go!
What do you like best about the product?
Arena PLM & QMS is a very user-friendly tool for work & it makes working & collaborating with engineers from different parts of the world efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes due to heavy traffic, the servers of Arena PLM tool take a longer time than usual to load the data & files. This becomes frustrating at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arena is helping me and my team to collaborate from remote locations to work on engineering projects, where the data is easy to extract as well as it is secure.
A comprehensive platform for getting updated documents and SOP's for various departments.
What do you like best about the product?
As of now, i would say its easy to use. I havent done much expoloring but i would continue to share feedback on the platform requirements so that the developers can work towards it
What do you dislike about the product?
Have come acrross many instances whereby a shared document doesnt really come under the Action/Assignment inbox. We need some training with respect to navigating through the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By briding the gap between communication as we find almost all our documents in place
