Fast Analytics platform
What do you like best about the product?
The best part is the speed at which the teradata sql scripts get executed. Also it provides a great user base to discuss any issue you face.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used Teradata studio express and teradata sql assistant. Teradata sql assistant doesn't tells you where the error occured upon query execution. It just tells you that there is an error. You have to run the code in parts to find out the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There was data migration from db2 to teradata. I have used teradata to wrte sql queries for data QA. The migration was done because of the increase in volume of data. So now we have a better system now to handle and analyze large data.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to Query the SQL, shows history of all the queries we have made . explain feature tells how the query is moving in the backend.
What do you dislike about the product?
there is no option to integate excel or any third party data or how to import data. moreover we can also not copy data directly from output window.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing the SQL Database. shows the data in the dtabase. Quering

Vantage Features and Performances
What do you like best about the product?
It is the database that allows operations on huge amounts of data easily, I used this because of the parallel processing is very good and it's always a good decision to perform the database operations with minimum time and efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's the database that is not common so finding the resources is not easy, always resulting in project delay. It's also very tough to understand if you are a new joiner sometimes it creates challenges of data discrepancy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used this tool for one of the retail projects in my organization and stored a huge amount of data, further creating several reports based on the same. It always outperformed for me.
Workload Management- A valuable aspect of life
What do you like best about the product?
Workload Management is an important aspect of life. Work is a necessity for a person but comprising health and other major aspects of life for work is not called for.
What do you dislike about the product?
We just should not take ourselves lightly and not push to strive better just for the namesake of workload Management. No other bad aspect about this.

How to integrate the work-life with other aspects of life.
Teradata is Easy, Straightforward to Use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that this program uses straightforward SQL language with clear, easy to understand error messaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with anything, data out is only as good as the data in. Teradata language can have some learning curve but nothing Google can't solve

Fast data querying gets us answers quicker than programs with clunky user interfaces

I really like the compatibility between Teradata Kylo and Github

I didn't find any major downsides when using Teradata Kylo

By using Teradata Kylo, I created data lakes for reporting projects which helped in retrieving the needed data
Great for Advance Data Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
It prebuilds advanced analytics functions. It makes easy integration of Structured Query Language, Graph analytics, Text analytics, statistical analytics into a single platform. In short, it provides next-generation data analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup and setting up the rules could be made more accessible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool helps us to work on a high volume of data and allows us to perform next-generation analytics. Using the large volume of different types of data, such as structured and unstructured, and try to get advanced analytics on top of it.
fast & efficient tool 18TB Gen 1 backup data in 90 minutes
What do you like best about the product?
I like the backup efficiency 5-6 TB gen0 backup/ hour and 18TB gen1 backup in 90 minutes. Efficient DR solution available.

Cumulative & differential backups were not available with 16.20. Same is available with 17.10

Top and standard MPP database in industry
What do you like best about the product?
What I liked most is its MPP architecture which computes billions of records very efficiently. Perfect database to maintain and analyse your data wharehouse. Teradata also offers many useful utilities like breq, Fload,Tpt etc which used to load and transform the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much I am pretty happy with teradata for its compute power.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used vantage to maintain data wharehouse of our health care data. We joined and transformed many tables with millions of records and streamed the data to data scientists for their analysis with help of Teradata.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best MPP database, I love to work with Tearadata. You too will like it.
