Canto has helped us finally get organized!
What do you like best about the product?
After years of having assets stored in many different places, Canto has allowed our team to organize everything in one place. It's also been a great tool for collecting photos from our staff in other locations. Being able to import directly into our library, rather than download images from an email and upload to a file storage stystem has been amazing. Canto has helped our team streamline processes, better manage incoming assets.
And a side note, the onboarding and training process was great! Canto has a lot of features and ways to set things up. The team took their time to understand our unique needs and helped us craft a workspace that suited our team.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not necessarily a downside or dislike, but Canto is full of features and there are some our team has not yet implemented. It took some time for our team to adjust to a new system and we have not yet felt ready to roll out access company wide. Outside of that, we haven't run into anything that could be deemed a negative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto helps us organize our assets in one place. Prior to Canto we had a complex file structure and photos and media assets lived in a whole host of various places. It was difficult to find what you were looking for and easy to forget where something was stored (even if you were the one who put it there!). Rather than scrolling through photo after photo looking for the perfect image for a project, we can simply search for the person or thing we need a photo of and Canto delivers it. It's saved us a great deal of time.
Excellent features with competitive price
What do you like best about the product?
Setup is quick and straightforward. We were able to get basic functionality setup with no issues. Implementation team was quick to respond and assist with the more advanced setup features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Waiting for them to rebuild the Adobe plugin
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a single source for all of our digital assets. Image Relay's tagging allows us to bring in loads of assets and still be able to browse them easily.
Well-designed software for easy asset retrieval
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to find images through both folders and tagging, as well as being able to view search results rather than having to click on idividual items to find what you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of customization options for assets once they've been uploaded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping our team to better organize files for stakeholder use, rather than storing them in a matrixed file structure.
Canto Mania
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to easily drag and drop files to upload. The ease of use on the platform is pretty phenomenal, with little training needed to get going. I use the platform alsmost daily in some form or another. The integrations with Adobe and Canva are gamechangers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how long it takes for cetain files to upload such as large illustrator files or videos. I also think the entire UX / UI is very outdated and in dire need of a refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto allows our team to have all brand assets and promotional materials in a shared space where everyone can access. It allows us to share assets wiithin our team or outside of it, making workflows and pipelines much smoother.
Canto experience
What do you like best about the product?
I love all the automations they have it is very user friendly and easy and accessible to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
That when you send a upload link to people they cannot download the pictures only view/upload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a drive where everything is saved and formatted into its files and albums. Easy to find assests.a
Canto not only met our needs but also offers so much more!
What do you like best about the product?
Canto stands out for its ability to streamline digital asset management, offering features like automated file sorting, robust search capabilities, and customizable branding. It also simplifies collaboration and ensures brand consistency by centralizing approved assets in a single location.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canto does have some drawbacks like limited customization options, which restricts flexibility. Maintaining the organizational structure within Canto can be tedious and requires a dedicated administrator to manage effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our photo library used to be chaotic, with too many coworkers and outside partners creating their own systems. With Canto, we can organize files efficiently and search by various terms and projects. We can also share photos with partners/consultants and set specific usage parameters, solving problems we didn't even realize we had.
Good for storing images--has some kinks that need to be worked on.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the look and design of Canto. It is convenient and relatively simple to use. Makes sharing and receiving images easier than it was before.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, Canto is a bit laggy. I can tell the platform is still new and under development. There are some things that aren;t super easy to use or intuitive. Not being able to seatch for images in the thumbnail pop-up. Not being able to change portal URLs after creation, not being able to copy the link for already made upload links easily, and much more makes me think that user experience is not a major priority. I also think it is a ver expensive product and being limited to power seats due to cost makes it feel like the platform isn't super worth it. I also think that we didnt figure out a lot of the issues and kinks of the platform until we paid and signed for it, and that we were overpromised what the platform could actually do to get us to get it. The onboarding didn't teach us much at all and now I kind of feel like we're on our own fully and aren't maximizing what we paid for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a cumbersome process of uploading and sharing images in our job and this is helping make that process easier and quicker.
Good, needs some tweaks
What do you like best about the product?
It's good for organizing and locating our library of images for various email and social media campaigns. Our team uses it every day!
What do you dislike about the product?
The search function could be improved so it's not case-sensitive and required less precise search terms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to keep our image and video library organized and accessible to our various retailers.
Canto filled a need and offers much more!
What do you like best about the product?
We had used several products that had moved indirections that made them impossible to use for what our company needed. Plus, having several co-workers all participating in projects plus outside people we worked with our needs were large and sometimes roadblocking. When we found Canto it was a great relief. They spent much time explaining how they could help with 'our needs'. We have been on Canto for more than 6 years and are still learning new ways it contributes to our projects and other work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I ould not call this unhelpful since Canto is always available to help. But we have not taken the time to use all the parts of Canto that would be useful to our projects. Need more time!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our photo library had become very difficult to use with too many co-workers setting different files and organization plus outside consultants having libraries of our photography. With Canto, we can set up files and then search by many different terms and projects. Plus, we can share withoutside consultants and companies and set parameters on how they can use the photos, how long, and more. It has answered problems that I did not even realize we needed.
Generally pretty darn good
What do you like best about the product?
Easy-to-use folder and album structure. Creating a share link and adding images to it is very convenient for sharer and user. Metadata tags are customizable to a high degree. Uploads and file transfers are simple, and downloads are too. Facial recognition is incredible!!! Nearly impossible to stump.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lots of little UI glitches which create irritation and slows down usage. Transferring uploaded files to an album seems to be really slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much easier to catalog, keyword and find images than with our previous DAM. Far more efficient with our large volume of assets.
