Canto is our DAM of choice
What do you like best about the product?
We like the flexibility Canto offer in terms of different ways to work, and the ease of use. Ma ny of our technically challenged employees find using Canto to be straightforward and simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the Canto uploader app can be problematic. Sometimes it works perfectly, and sometimes it fails inexplicably. Also the app works different on Mac than it does on Windows and those two different ways of working can cause issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us store and organize our digital assets, finished and unfinished, and included reference materials.
Where is that great photo from last fall?
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to tag photos and make use of facial recognition. The ability to create album links to send people directly to the photos they are interested in.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be hard to clean up and re-organize our categories if I don't have full administrator permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us find photos for re-use in future projects, and share photos with our subjects.
Canto works great for us to share media with our dealers, employees, customers, and others.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have so much stored in one place and the ability to have some locked and others accsessible with just a link.
What do you dislike about the product?
our team has no problem using the platform however sometimes other people struggle with it when first introduced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
canto makes it easy to share assets that may be too large to send trhough email.
Great Digital Asset Management System
What do you like best about the product?
Canto is very straight forward and fluid. It's ease of functionality is great for even beginning users. Customer support is also a great feature and very helpful and timely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canto still feels old compared to modern designs of DAM systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto makes it easy to share files with other people in the company who will then share those externally.
1+ Year of working with Canto in a Communications Role.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the AI Digital search feature for quickly finding images and I like the general folder organizational structure - much better than Google folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the inability to alter what images are in a link to be a bit cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping share images in internal communications settings as well as for external marketing purposes.
Time saver and risk mitigator
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to organize assets, restrict access, and easily access the assets we need for agency and client projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI search capability needs improvement. Portals are a bit confusing. I wish they had a mid-tier level of user between Consumer and Power so that our client managers could help tag metadata on assets for their clients (since they have the product knowledge etc)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility into assets we have for ourselves and for clients, which streamlines our internal creation processes.
Ability to collaborate with clients by giving them access to their assets via portals.
Brand Style guide elements all in one place for consistent use by the team.
Ability to collaborate with clients by giving them access to their assets via portals.
Brand Style guide elements all in one place for consistent use by the team.
Office DAM transition
What do you like best about the product?
AI automated search, collaborative workspaces, auto sync files, facial recognition, asset control
What do you dislike about the product?
Canto connect is not accessible to SSO users, workspace assets are not able to be imported from main library
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Photo searchability is main problem solved, work flow, and metadata accessibility. Users of the office archive before canto could not access any information about the photo or remember what location they got it from. There was a lot of content chaos before in the old DAM ,no keywords, tags or descriptive data, and we now have all of that information
Good Experience, But There's a Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I like the overall interface and the customer service has been pretty good as well. I also appreciate that they are constantly innovating and adding new functionality to the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very technical at times. We have a pretty small team without much bandwidth and are working on trying to digitize, consolidate, and create go-forward criteria/standards for all our assets. While Canto has been helpful, we've hit a lot of technical snags during onboarding and it's been a disproportionate amount of workload on our internal team driving the process vs. our Canto account reps on the other side helping guide us with this being our very first DAM implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our intention is to consolidate all of our creative/brand assets into the tool, make it more easily accessible/searchable internally (and with external agency partners), and create a more secure, redundant library by going cloud-based vs. on-premise servers.
New Canto Customer
What do you like best about the product?
While we are transitioning from Widen to Canto, the customer service and ease of transitioning has gone extremely well. The features we were presented with, including the Adobe Integrator was a gamechanger for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I truthfully do not have anything negative to review at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For the features we were getting, and the cost savings, the switch to Canto was a no brainer.
Great asset management!
What do you like best about the product?
Canto was easy for our team to implement and keep updated. We are able to have our photographers and other contributors upload through portals that we can then approve and sort into our system for our team to use. The tagging allows our team to easily find assets related to a certain product. Our marketing team uses Canto on a weekly basis. Customer support is great also, as they are quick to respond to any issues we may have w/ the system, which are few and far between.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of a downside. We've been using the program for just over 3 years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilitze Canto for asset management. All photos, videos, drawings, projects, etc. are stored in Canto and are easily accessed by our vendors and customers as well as internal teams. We are easily able to approve or hide assets if they are not to be used any longer or yet.
