Cheap and effective.
What do you like best about the product?
They have made data analyzing so easy for us even without paying the fee upfront.
What do you dislike about the product?
The database is complex to use even for experts in programming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helping us build our own data model trained on analytics we collect from our websites.
A great solution, getting better everyday and backed by one of the most knowledgeable team there is!
What do you like best about the product?
As a business user, it probably took me an hour to get used to the "Omni way" and start churning valuable insights for our business!
I used many BI tools in the past (the main one being Looker) and I was never sold into the wave of the "Data Visualisation" solution. Those expect you to know what the result of your analysis should look like before you even start. What I loved about Looker was that it was all about exploring to find valuable nuggets in your data, and if you found something good you saved it, you used it and you shared it.
So when we started looking for our Analytics solution, Omni was a natural choice. Omni goes a step further making these early analysis even easier in my opinion, as one doesn't need to wait for metrics to be available in a central model to start exploring data. It's super easy to create your own metrics or derive metrics from existing ones and start building super powerful insights quickly. If what I build's good, we just promote the new metrics into the model so they can be reused everywhere by all users. The combination of the workbook and modelled BI approach is very powerful.
The other thing that's most enjoyable about working with Omni is the team. They hit all the marks that you'd expect from a top vendor! Super responsive support, very friendly and helpful advices, new & super valuable features being released almost daily... it's a pleasure to see the speed at which the product is evolving.
It already a great solution, it's getting better everyday and you're supported by one of the most knowledgeable team there is - it is absolutely the best value-for-money one can find in the BI Market right now.

As a young company some features are obviously missing but they tend to be nice to have and everytime I need something it tends to be released within a week or two of me asking!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni helps me quickly explore my data to find valuable insights to drive my business. As head of sales and customer success, both product & sales analytics are required to make good decisions and it is hard to do without god data. The ability to myself explore, create my own metrics and visualise them quickly is great.
The second aspect that Omni helps me with is creating actionable dashboard/product for my team. We want to monitor a number of operational KPIs and being able to share these with the team on a recurring basis so they can go action what's required of them is crucial.

A Compelling Approach to Self-Service BI
What do you like best about the product?
Omni allows for easy development and analysis without having to stop and switch between different working environments. It creates an experience of constant interaction that doesn’t slow down when you want to go outside of what is available in the data model.
What do you dislike about the product?
The team is young and moving quickly so there are some features that still need to be developed but the team is great about communicating plans and keeping users in the loop.

Omni helps quickly and dynamically glean insights from data.
Great tool and amazing support
What do you like best about the product?
Hands down, the things that separated Omni from the other vendors are their approach to analytics and the support we received through the buying journey. See a demo and do a PoC and see for yourself. Highly recommend.

We don't have any dislikes about Omni worth noting here. If we have product feedback, it's given to the Omni team. They address all feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni is helping us organize, visualize, and analyze our data so we can understand our customers and business. The tool is an extension of our data and revenue operations teams and scales their efforts to keep the business informed with the latest insights and a place to do further probing into the data, when necessary.
Great for small teams & early BI users
What do you like best about the product?
Overall the experience of using Omni is pretty straight forward from anyone coming from a Tableau/PowerBI type of background and for new users, it's relatively approachable as well.
The pricing model is well suited to small teams/companies without nickel & diming for every user or feature, and is much better value for money compared to other larger enterprise BI solutions with heavy implementations and significant cost.
The entire omni team from sales/BD through success and leadership have been great in terms of getting our data sources integrated, helping us learn the tool, and partnership overall.

What do you dislike about the product?
Whereas they are early stage, there are a few UI/UX quirks but the team is open to feedback on the product and none of these are big roadblocks or problems, and a little support from success will get us where we want to be

We needed to access and visualize our internal data systems in one place. Omni enables us to connect our different databases and join/transform them to create visualizations
Flexible, speedy analytics with awesome product team
What do you like best about the product?
Really flexible analytics anchored by a strong modeling layer that's simple to learn and easy to implement. I love being able to edit SQL in the front end, then push to the model when ready - and keep some analyses in separate workbooks until they make sense to add to the model. Works well for small teams and can clearly scale to a bigger org.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since they're new, there are still some features that aren't live yet (like certain chart customizations, etc), but their product team is incredibly responsive and has shipped a ton of features in a short time, so I feel confident that they'll have everything covered in short order.

Omni is our company's core analytics platform - we look at daily dashboards, do ad-hoc analysis, answer questions to drive product priorities, and report out to our team's stakeholders.
Great first experience using BI
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of OMNI's BI product has surpassed my expectations and provided a wide range of powerful tools for data analysis. The team is very friendly and provides great support!
What do you dislike about the product?
Ocasionally, the platform's performance has been a bit slow and some data visualization features are unavailble at the moment. That being said, the OMNI team has been proactive in addressing our requests and finding solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OMNI is saving our team so much time with our data reporting process. Aditionally, we are really looking forward to the new feature of allowing our clients to have access to real-time data dashboards.
Incredible Modeling, Analysis, and Visualization Experience
What do you like best about the product?
I think Omni is the next-generation analytics, modeling, and visualization tool. It supports users who are new to SQL to analytics experts. It pairs incredibly well with dbt to provide a centralized source for analysis for our whole company.
I love the automatic schema update feature. When we create a new model in dbt, Omni automatically pulls it in with the correct dimensions and even takes a shot at predicting how it should be joined to other models. The break between Topics (Explores in Looker) and how models are joined is a 10/10 feature and saves us a ton of time in the modeling stage. Users who need an on-the-rails experience get it. Users who know how to do custom joins, measures, and dimensions get them. They can even promote their customizations to the main model so everyone can benefit in a really low-friction way.
The support we've received from the Omni team has been truly incredible. Their customer service alone is a reason to switch. Every time we've needed help (even if it's just folks new to SQL who need a hand) the team has responded in minutes. If we find a bug, it's usually fixed in nothing flat. If we need a feature, we often see them add it within hours or days -- not weeks.
Before you spin up anything else, give Omni a shot. It's worth it.

Omni is a new product and sometimes I find myself reaching for something that I would expect in a more seasoned platform and find it missing. However, every time that's happened the Omni team has met our need with a first-class feature in hours or days. They're an incredible team and it's been amazing working with them.

Omni is our central source for tracking our product metrics, user attribution, and company financials. It's our one-stop-shop for all things analytics at Prefect.
